Howell provides pastoral and theological help for the issues we face in life, showing us what we can do and how to “believe even more deeply in God, even as we grieve losses, resist evil, and muster hope.” Questions for discussion accompany each chapter.

My first book I have read by James. I enjoyed reading this book and learned some good coping skills primarily by using prayer for the difficult situations that life brings. James delivers this book just like he preaches. Very enjoyable read but savor the paragraphs. Highlight or underline those aspects that touch you. And, don't forget where you put the book after you read it. It's a handy read to pick up when you need it. I ordered a copy and sent to my mom.
