This is my first read from this author and I can tell you know it won’t be my last! This book grabbed me in a choke hold and wouldn’t let go!! Knight and Kennedy have some amazing and chart topping chemistry! I’m talking burn up the pages of your kindle hot! Kennedy really showed up and showed out in this first book she is now meek mouse she is a beast a freaking Queen!! That ending had not only my jaw on the ground. I need book 2 like yesterday!!! Cannot wait for more of these two and to see what’s about to pop off!!! Fantastic read!

Violet Paige is a new to me author, and let me tell you, Her Mafia King was a fantastic introduction to her world. Knight & Kennedy are from rival families, so there's a lot of hatred between those two said families. Now they're both in charge of their families, and Kennedy is absolutely no pushover, nope, she's a bada** Queen, who will go toe to toe with anyone, including Knight. My girl is most definitely out for vengeance, and I LOVED LOVED LOVED her! Every interaction these two have sends the sparks flying like crazy, and I mean CRAZY, which does make things a bit complicated LOL! The twists are coming in hot as these two blaze a new path, but will they end up doing it together?! Well it leads to a HUGE cliffhanger ending so I have no clue, but I'm super excited to find out so the next book cannot be released quickly enough for me! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I wouldn't say this is a mafia romance. This feels more like hardcore business rivals in the city of New Orleans. We have Kennedy who's dad is new in the area and wants to build an empire and Knight's dad who runs the show there currently and he will take his place one day. When both fathers pass, they take over what their fathers left behind.
I just didn't love these characters and I can tell this book was written by a newer author since the writing style was a bit juvenile and choppy. I also feel this story is being stretched over three shorter books when this could probably be one book. The synopsis of this book really covers what happens. I'm not invested enough to continue this series, but it was a quick read. I feel there was potential but it fell flat for me. I wanted more mafia.

Because this is a trilogy, I fully expected this book to be lower on my rankings and that’s okay. The whole first book really just set up the whole series for us. Half the book is set five years ago when Kennedy first moved to New Orleans and meets Knight. There is chemistry like nothing else from them but they are both trapped in the mafia world and have expectations upon them as the first born in their families. They go their separate ways. Fast forward five years, both their fathers have died and now they are in charge. I really needed to see more from Kennedy. She does this transformation in the five years into a ruthless woman but I wish (and hope) we can see more of her transformation in the coming books. I’m intrigued by the story line and looking forward to see what the next book brings.

This book is phenomenal. Knight is fighting inner battles of loyalty and family while Kennedy is busy learning everything she can. They should hate each other but fate can sometimes be cruel. These two are so so good together. I loved the storyline.

Ms. Paige is a new to me author. So I had no idea as to her writing style.
I liked the way the story was divided and told.
The first half was the meeting and building up the relationship between Knight and Kennedy.
I liked them together. Their energy and attraction to each other was undeniable and anyone around them saw and felt it.
Knight was raised and groomed to takeover for his father. So knew the business inside and out.
He was confident and knew his family’s place in New Orleans was unshakable.
Kennedy was a different story. She was never included in her fathers dealing nor his business ventures. She was always lounging around or partying.
When both their fathers have their eye on the same business venture things go sideways fast for Kennedy and Knight.
The second part is five years later. And their situations and circumstances have drastically changed.
I could not reconcile this new Kennedy with the one I first met. A year into running her fathers businesses and she is suddenly the big shark everyone is afraid of and all the bigwigs who have been doing this for their whole lives are suddenly running scared and losing out to the newbie didn’t seem plausible to me. And Knight having absolutely no idea what was happening in the states while he was running things in France made him look clueless and lost.
I liked the confidence now radiating from Kennedy and her new found inner strength and her determination to succeed.
Even after five years of being a part their chemistry is still there. That chemistry will bring them together and will also destroy them because it’s so easy to misconstrue and separate between love and business. And that cliffhanger proved it.
This mafia book has a different vibe than what I’m used to. It leans more to cutthroat devious business men than mafia men.
I’m looking forward to His Mafia Queen and seeing how Knight and Kennedy deal with the secrets that have come to light.

That cliffhanger left be chomping at the bits. Knight and Kennedy are from families basically at war but Knight can’t help but want to devour everything about Kennedy but she definitely not a wallflower, she is a boss and doesn’t let anyone get in her way! Can’t wait to read the next one

This was a new to me author and one I'd definitely be reading more from, including the next book in the trilogy as I have to know what happens next.
As a starter book it's hard to talk about either the characters or plot as by the end they were only just finding their feet.
There's so much we don't know yet.
Look forward to finding out, especially after that ending.

This first book in the Knight Mafia Trilogy sets the scene for the romance between Knight Corban and Kennedy Martin. Their immediate attraction and physical chemistry is obvious but being heirs to opposing families—not a good idea. Truly both of their fathers were such awful characters. This is the first time reading this author’s work and I enjoyed the storyline and characters.
The story is split into two parts with a five year gap. Told from both lead character’s points of view we gain insight into each of them and their feelings. I like both Kennedy and Knight and the change in both of them is to be expected, even though in Kennedy it was more noticeable—mainly because she had truly grown up and taken an active role in the family business.
This lustful friends to enemies to lovers to enemies, it really isn’t confusing when you read it, story sets the scene extremely well and I look forward to reading the second book, His Mafia Queen, next—especially after that climactic ending!

My Thoughts: This book is a quick read but I am already drawn into Violet Paige's Mafia world. We meet Knight Corban. His family is considered royalty in New Orleans. At his sister's engagement party, he meets Kennedy Martin, a newcomer to their town. She is unaware of the dynamics in this city but aware enough to know that Knight Corbin's family rules. There is a bit of mystery to Kennedy throughout this book that draws Knight. She's a bit of fresh air. Unfortunately, their fathers are both after the same deal that forces Knight and Kennedy to choose who their loyalties lie with. Flash forward and Kennedy and Knight are reunited, and both have changed over the years. Kennedy is no longer a young college grad. She is a fierce and ruthless businesswoman. There is so much tension and chemistry between these two, I can't wait to read more about how their relationship evolves.

This was the first book I read by this author and am excited to read more from her. This was the first book of the Knight Mafia trilogy. It was a great start and you get to know Knight and Kennedy. Such great characters. Kennedy and Knight meet when her father sends her to be a representative of the family name at Knight's sisters engagement party. When they meet their chemistry can't be denied even though their father's are rivals they start a relationship until betrayal hits and Knight flees. When a family emergency brings him home does he find that Kennedy betrayed his family and he is bound and determined to bring her down, but can he do it. This book is full of betrayal, lust, love and loss. This author is a great storyteller and thoroughly enjoyed this book and am excited for the next book. Definitely recommend this book. I loved it.

This is the first in a trilogy, and this is Kennedy and Knight’s journey. Kennedy is the Princess of a rival crime family, and Knight is drawn to her, despite their families being enemies. Now 5-years later, both of their fathers have passed, and they are the heads of their families. Kennedy is no walkover, she is now the “Queen”, and she is fuelled by vengeance. The chemistry between Kennedy and Knight is combustible and undeniable. This story ends in a jaw dropping cliffhanger, and I cannot wait to read the second book. This is a well written story which is filled with action, vengeance, family, intrigue, suspense, twists, and love, which leads to a riveting and thrilling page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Moving to a new city is never easy even more so when your dad wants to take over another man's territory and how it was for Kennedy.
Meeting Knight was never what she expected let alone what she felt for him.

A mafia princess and a mafia prince from different families meet by chance but the fathers have different plans for them. There bond is definitely stronger when they re-connect but is that enough for their love to survive as they are 2 different people now.
