After almost a decade since my first read, my knowledge was in need of refreshing in the field of encyclopedic literature, and since I have had it from a very early age, this was a logical choice. The explanations and definitions of animals should have been more extensive; the illustrations are very unique and useful, as is the globe indicating the precise areas inhabited by these animals

This is one of my son's favorite books, he is an animal fanatic. I have no idea how many times I have gone over this book with him. But he really enjoys it and I enjoy it as well.
