I started reading and cannot put the book down. The story line flows from one page to the next. The author did an excellent job with this storyline. It's funny, realistic, and informative.

Caviar & Hot Wings

Have you ever answered your phone only to find that the caller is already involved in a conversation? You say hello repeatedly, hoping to alert them to the fact that you're just answering the phone, but they just keep on talking, not even bothering to take a breath. Well that's pretty much how CHEATING ON MY MISTRESS reads. The story is about Carmello Miller, a married man, who has not one, but two mistresses. The wife, Cynthia, is saved, sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. She believes in her heart that her man ain't cheating. So what the nosey woman at the church has warned her that something sounds off about their marriage. Monique, mistress number one, is a stripper who believes that he's going to eventually leave his wife for her. Augustine, mistress number two, is a flight attendant who doesn't really care that he's married as she has her own agenda.

CHEATING ON MY MISTRESS is a very undemanding read. The author packs a ton of unnecessary info into the story coupled with characters you never have a real understanding of and just blends it in with an apparent plot of lies and deceit. At virtually every turn the story feels like it's pulling punches instead of delving into the treacherous terrain the story itself is screaming for. Apparently there is to be a part II, not sure why, but I'd strongly propose that the author tackle focusing on the story, less comedy and involving the reader into the story. While the message at the end of the story is good, it's the only part of the story I did like.

I will say I didn't know if I should give it a 3 or a 4. Overall the book read ok, but thought that it could have been more detailed. It did feel like way to many people was talking in one chapter and it felt like it was bouncing back and forth.

But, I will say the storyline was good. With Carmelo being married and cheating to be with his 2 mistress on the side. But, what they say what's done in the dark will come to light. Carmelo got just that. But, at the same time trying to make sure he changes to be a better man to his wife. Cynthia.
