Escape the Wolf raises the safety IQ of today’s global travelers. Using Escape the Wolf’s exclusive, holistic Total Awareness System, international travelers are empowered to identify, minimize, or avoid all types of wolves or threats—from common crime, health issues, and natural disasters to kidnapping and even terrorism. The author shares his years of hands-on experience in dealing with high-risk situations.
Great book. A must for anyone who travels abroad or even at home. This No BS book covers many basis by someone who has been there and done that. Clint didn't always travel with 20 of his best well armed friends. He often went alone or with another and they were completely unarmed, or as unarmed as a man with his training could be in very bad countries. Normally special operations personnel aren't sent to the garden spots of the world with stable governments. I highly recommend this book for anyone and especially those who travel internationally or domestically.
A great resource for anyone who travels for their job, or even for leisure. There are lots of take-aways and the consistent reminder that appropriate preparation prior to travel is the best defense from finding yourself in a shitty situation that could have been avoided.
I really liked the "Review" sections after each chapter which helped to reinforce the concepts discussed, and even included some real-life examples of how the principles were (or were not) followed.
If you have any plans to travel outside of the US (or maybe to a semi-permissive part of the US), you should read this book.
This was a great book. Only reason it’s not 5stars is because it has few places I would have liked more detail💪💪💪 but I Loved it If it were the details I wanted Clint would’ve had to make it 21,776 pages 😂😂😂 I LOVE INFO
Exceptionally well detailed way to get people to understand situational awareness. How to conduct yourself in tough situations at home and abroad. Clint is a mastermind, well done sir!
Like all the books in Clint Emerson's 100 Deadly Skills series (which I own in its entirety), "Escape the Wolf" focuses on practical applications; however, what I appreciate most is the emphasis on real-life scenarios and the dangerous situations that civilians may face. As someone closely related to the security and defense sector through my job, I highly value the author's effort to draw readers' attention to the importance of individual awareness and preparedness. There is a saying: "Ignorance of the law is no excuse," and it is the same with our safety - each of us is the first responder. I highly recommend it not only for active travelers but also for a wide audience. A must-read.
