In life, my only pleasure is collecting rare, beautiful things.
Nothing, and no one, is more exquisitely beautiful than her. When she plays the violin, I can feel her fingers along my skin. I ache to hear her sweet pleas as I show her what it means to be owned by me. And I will own her... body and soul.
I have savored watching her from afar, knowing that soon, she would be mine. Bound. Breathless. Vulnerable.
She will be under my complete control.
Tonight, I will emerge from the shadows to finally claim her. My soul is already damned, I want to taste heaven before I descend to hell.
“Some people like wine and roses.” He glides the back of his hand across my jaw. “Some of us like whips and bruises. Dorian Gray
If Oscar Wilde was still here he'd have loved Measha Stone's twist on Dorian Gray!!!!! This was everything I'd hoped it would be and more. I've read The picture of Dorian Gray a few times intrigued by this character and Gray was fabulous! Yes Dorian Gray is still a arrogant self absorbed dark as fuck character but this one loves to cause pain! This isn't what I call hard-core BDSM. Don't get me wrong he loves to use a belt and cane just as much as the Marquis de Sade and enjoys your tears and screams but he also gives great pleasure if he's obeyed. When he kidnaps violinist Sylvia Sybil he gets a smart willful women who has a lot of fight in her! With her overbearing mother trying to get her married off its no wonder this spitfire is not only a match for Dorian but finally is able to crack the hard shell he has around his heart. This book was right up my alley! I've gotten into dark romance the last couple of years and rough love play doesn't bother me as long as some real emotion is in the pleasure and pain. Now I will say while this isn't too dark the whole ejectulating all over her face and parading her past his security men for humation purposes was much. But when he saw how upset she was and after she barricaded herself in the bedroom all day because she was too embarrassed at them seeing her again, Dorian sends them away and that little bit of give ends up almost getting him killed. Dorian is no prince charming by any means but with a little bit of love he's not such a soul less bastard ! Sylvia is his one. She's more then a match for not only him but the monster that he carries. Between snark and submission she is the one in control, so let the games begin ! Until next time Luv's💕💋
Dorian is a collector and he has a new obession that is Sylvia who plays the violin. He plays it cool and easy when he first meets her not giving away how OTT he is or that his monster wants her. Sylvia turns him down since she knows what type of man he is she doesn't want that. But when she wakes up the next morning she's confused where she is, she was Drugged and kidnapped by Dorian for his twisted pleasure. He wants her to obey him if not pubisment and he really wants her to be a bad girl for him. We do get the rough pleasure even a use of a cord from her violin 😈😈. The relationship is very hot/cold and drama coming at them. I do wish there was a Epilogue :(.
We do get some side charas that other authors are writing about I'm excited to read Hyde book and maybe Dracula?!?
Om drama, slight secondary character, Drama, sexy times, no virgins & sorta manwhore (he did have a mini scene with ow but he stop because he wasn't feeling it fiest % is with someone else)

This can be read as a standalone and follows Dorian and Sylvia. Dorian is a collector of beautiful things and has particular tastes that no woman has been able to satisfy until he lays his eyes on the intriguing and fiery Sylvia.
So what does a ruthless and dominant man like Dorian do? Steal her away and cage her. Sylvia is barely able to wrap her brain around her new predicament and even less able to come to terms that Dorian is sadistic but he’s able to play her body like the instrument she so loves.
What starts out for the two of them as lustful endings made by pain and pleasure slowly begins to morph into a little more. Will their lives wrap enough for a happy ending?
I’ll be honest…this wasn’t romance. Rough sex? Absolutely. There was very little relationship development outside the bedroom and their connection felt empty and hollow outside of their sexual encounters until the end I suppose. So while I enjoyed the smutty adventure, I didn’t like the lack of real love and passion. This was obsession and Stockholm’s syndrome. But I also know what kind of stories this author writes so I can’t really complain. These characters have both dark and light and they were a good complement to each other in the end. Solid dark and smutty read.
Dorian Gray as you have never heard about him before. Measha has given us an different side to this timeless character. Yes he is arrogant and confident but in this version he is very Alpha and demanding in the bedroom. Sylvia has caught Dorian’s attention and quickly comes to realize that this man stops at nothing to get what he wants and now she is his obsession . His unorthodox way of obtaining her is shocking but also demonstrates the extremes he will go to get the object of his desire. Measha has written a spectacular retelling of this tale and as always she has delivered wonderfully.
This is not a monster romance. Gray is a rich man with dark tastes. He wants to take care of and hurt his h but not cause her harm/damage. Our h whose a violinist learns she craves what he dishes out.
-H takes h. She wakes in his guest room the next day and he tells her she isn’t leaving until he’s ready -quick paced short and steamy -H wants to brush her hair after he whips her booty -idk what he does for a living really lol -this is a retelling/ twist on a story about Dorian gray… idk who that is. When I hear gray- I think of 50 shades lol 🤷🏻♀️😜 -overall this was good. A solid 3. Will read next book.
Adding because i forgot to mention.. -OW… opening page is H banging someone else. He does and the. He kicks her to the curb. Doesn’t seem like anyone’s been important to him before h.
Never read nor watched any of Oscar Wilde's Dorian Gray adaptations. But I did wiki the work and wow, honestly surprised there aren't more retellings of this story. Aside from the tragic ending, it's a perfect tale of hedonism for our typical romantic heroes.
Or maybe it's only me that never did encounter any of these books.
Anyway, I found it to be just okay. I'm not super invested in the story, the plot is predictable and the romance was super rushed and lacklustre at the same time. It can't get any more mediocre than this.
Contemplated how I wanted to rate this story. I personally had a hard time reading it and found myself closing to read other things on numerous occasions. BUT — here’s the thing, I was absolutely dying to know Gray’s story after realizing this was a Dorian Gray reimagining.
Were my expectations too high? Was I expecting more of the themes I saw in movies? Was there just too much smut and not enough story?
I think it was a little bit of them all. I was sad to see little development into Dorian’s portrait and how it housed his soul. I was not very attracted to Sylvia as a character. Honestly both characters lacked depth, for me.
Now was the sex scorching? Heck yeah it was. But I could have used a touch more story and emotion to these characters.
Sylvia Sybil is a violinist. Dorian sees her when he attends a charity event in London, where Sylvia is playing the second violin.
Sylvia’s mother wants her to marry James Weatherby, her thinking is that as a 25 year old woman, Sylvia should be married by now. Not just married, but to someone with means, so that she may be cared for in her old age. Sylvia’s mom sees James Weatherby as her meal ticket. He is successful and has the right number of pounds in his bank account to be an attractive son-in-law. Sylvia does not share her mother’s sentiments.
“Does James have an interest in my Sylvia? If he does, it only makes my conquest all the sweeter.”
When it comes to Dorian, I couldn’t get the image of a hungry wolf hunting his prey. Although “the hunt” ends up being a kidnapping, as Dorian has Sylvia drugged and takes her to his home. Dorian knows what he wants and one can tell he’s a powerful man who gets what he wants. There is a cat and mouse play between Dorian and Sybil, even though you know the outcome will be inevitable.
“I take a step back from her, a small show of defeat, even if it is in pretence only.”
“When he meets her it is all the sweeter because she denies him.”
“I won’t back down. I will not show this man fear. He seems to feed on it. . . I can’t avoid looking into his eyes. Power. Control. He reeks of it.”
Although Dorian is fierce and strong, he is gentle with Sylvia. He has complete possession of her with no force or demand. Although Sylvia should be shouting for her release, her pleas are weak, unconvincing whispers. Dorian says he can’t let her go, he doesn’t want to and promises that she won’t want him to either. 🥵
H : Dorian Gray h : Sylvia Sybil Trope : Gothic retelling, kidnapping, forced proximity Heat : 🌶🌶🌶 Kinks : Spanking & degradation Series : ✅ Stalked by a Monster Stand-alone : ✅ Other books in the series all by different authors : Jekyll, The Count Rating : A deliciously dark 🌟🌟🌟 🌟which piqued my interest to read the other titles in the series.
I mean—if a man kidnaps you and immediately goes to whipping you with his belt and then fucks you… what else do you call that? I am continuing this little stalked by a monster series cause it has me morbidly fascinated. Plus, I am not against the BDSM kink—at all.
The alternative romance version of the beloved gothic Dorian Gray is delivered in delightful dark undertones to keep me happy. Plus it still maintains the romance equations with the ruefully perplexed HEA.
Dark, taboo romance though. Won’t be for everyone. But for those that seek this kind of depravity out. You’ll enjoy.
I was super excited to read Dorian Gray's story. It delivered when it comes to kinky hotness that you would expect from Measha Stone. However, I was hoping for more from Dorian's character. There’s so much potential here and I feel like it was a lost opportunity. Considering their beginning, I was also expecting more tension between the couple but it fizzled pretty quickly. Overall, this was a fun sexy novella with a bit of darkness, but it left me somewhat unfulfilled.
I loved Dorian and Sylvia. Once Dorian had Sylvia in his sight, there was nothing Sylvia could do. All things beautiful and twisted and then some. This book held my attention the entire time.
Dorian doesn't seem to be a man with a heart or a conscious. He plows through life, knowing people will bow down and do his bidding—what a pleasant surprise when Sylvia turns his world upside down. A man in love will alter everything he knows for the love of a lifetime.
“I want to go home, Dorian.” He smiles and lets out a breath. “I want you to stay.”
This was a super spicy second instalment and I really wanted to enjoy it, however it felt like only in the last 10% of the book did we finally get hold of the plot and I started to actually get into the story and how well the story could have been built. I will say though I really enjoyed the style of writing and pace. Again like with Jekyll (the first book of this series) I really just wished that the stories was a little longer just so we could have more of a relationship with the characters and be able to build more a connection to the story as a whole.
Wow! Absolutely loved everything about this book. It’s an intense story and I couldn’t put it down. In usual fashion, this author got me hooked into her characters from the very beginning. Dorian is a bit of a mystery, standoffish, sexy and a definite dominant person. When he sees something he wants, he goes after it, like Sylvia. He became fixated on her and wanted her in his life. But there was only one to do that and he wasn’t sure how receptive she would be. Sylvia may be fearful of Dorian at first but he shows her a way of life she never even would have dreamed of. She may be a strong willed woman but definitely has a submissive side. They both are perfect for each other but need to discover that on their own. Their chemistry is smoking hot and I had to fan myself after reading their scenes. I truly enjoyed every word and couldn’t put it down until every last word was read. A definite must read for all!
Sybil is a violinist who thrives on the music she plays but isn’t interested in living the life her mother wants her to have. When she meets Dorian she doesn’t expect to see her again but she soon finds out how wrong she is.
Dorian was enchanted by Sybil from the first time he saw her but when she doesn’t succumb to his charms he is determined to convince her even if it means abducting her and holding her captive. He will claim her, bend her to his will and send her on her way but he soon realizes she is unlike anyone he has ever known.
Dorian is a man who knows what he wants and isn’t about to let anything or anyone stand in his way. The chemistry between them is intense as he shows Sybil what she wants as well.
Dorian Gray has become obsessed with a violinist named Sylvia, and he knows he will have her no matter what it takes. Of course it took him drugging & kidnapping her but you know, all's fair in love & war amirite?! Despite this snag, these two have the sparks flying, and those sparks ignite making the story super HOT HOT HOT! Now it's not long before feelings are getting caught, but will either of them cop to said feelings?! Gray is a dark & super hot story that's easy to read in one sitting, but I do wish there were more to it at the end of the day, however that's due to the fact that I couldn't get enough! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Ohhhhhh I really liked this book. A tad longer than a novella but a little shorter than a novel. Lots of seggy time and some BDSM and a little bit of drama. This doesn’t have in-depth character development, so if that’s something you need you won’t find that here. Dorian is dark and arrogant and ruthless. Sylvia is head strong but also curious and leads her own life. In the end, Dorian makes her see how beautiful the LS is. This ends on a HEA, no baby (yay).
Gray is a steamy, exciting retelling of Dorian Gray by Measha Stone and boy was it intense?! I loved to see the wicked and darkest side of Gray when it came to his new obsession Sylvia, a gorgeous violinist who wanted to protect herself from the likes of Gray but fell prey to him nonetheless. Kidnapping, forced proximity, and dominant and punishing bedroom scenes made this book all the more intoxicating. Definitely a one-click book!
Is it just my imagination, or has Ms Stone upped her usual style again? This is the classic Dorian Gray story with a twist. What starts out as a ruthless man taking what he believes he can, ends rather different than planned. There's a give and take between those two, that's fascinating to watch in it's changing. Well done Ms Stone! Again!
This book was awesome and hot. I loved it. I loved how Gray seen her and wanted her and because he always gets what he wants he decides to kidnap her. She eventually falls in love with him after some ups and downs but really this book is awesome you will not regret reading it.

Fast-paced paced, intense and sizzling. When Dorian sees Sylvia, he knows not only that he wants, he will have her. Will he be able to let her go? Great characters with scorching chemistry and emotion. I was hooked form beginning to end. I loved it!
Gray collects beautiful things and Sylvia is his favorite new aquisition. He kidnaps her, dominates and disciplines her and they connect on a level Sylvia couldn't have imagined. This was a quick read with some very sexy, hot scenes.
When Dorian sets his sights on Sylvia she has no idea that he is someone who always gets what he wants and will lurk and study until the time is right for him to strike. Enjoyed this
