Twins for the Mafia Boss

Rate this book
When a gorgeous stranger gave me his number at a bar in Italy, I thought I’d be coming home with newfound confidence and a juicy story to tell.
Instead, I came home with his twins in my belly.

It’s not easy raising two boys on your own, but I gave up looking for their father a long time ago.
My mysterious lover vanished like he never even existed.
And it probably would’ve been best if it stayed that way.

But I’m not that lucky.

When our worlds collided again,
I discovered the truth about him,
A shocking secret I wish I could erase from my memory forever.

But it’s too late to go back now,
Because this possessive stranger is obsessed with me,
And he intends to keep me this time.

wow

I really didn’t want to even finish the book but i kept going just to leave this review. The book kind of dragged and wasn’t interesting but i figured it’ll pick up. But him being shot in the chest and getting up the very next day to finish his mission was just so unbelievable kind of like the rest of book. I’ve read books from the another before and enjoyed them, this not so much.

June and marcello have one night of passion in Italy that leaves June with more than just memories, his twins! June tries to find Marcello but has no luck until she heads back to Italy and she's in for more surprises, Marcello is a mafia boss and he's not letting his family go well written steamy surprise pregnancy, mafia romance.

It’s okay

this book is good for a lazy afternoon read. from the description and first chapter it had potential. but the idiocy of the female lead just made the story hard to swallow.

I mean, I'm sad to say this but I didn't finish this book. I'm sorry, but there is something missing, there is no "vibe" and to be frank the writing could be a lot better. The story in itself has a lot of potential, which is poorly executed. I would have given it a 3 star review, but the writing is just off and the personalities of the characters don't match their actions.

Sorry it was not my style.

There was no dialog really felt like they were constantly in their heads. I rushed through the book because it was just so hard to read without it.

Twins for the Mafia Boss

Sorry, not much I liked about this story except for the plot. Overall both characters were horrible. Spoiler alert watch out! So many questions unanswered, maybe it’s because both characters barely spoke with each other. I felt like the author babbled too much. Nothing made sense, I felt like misinformation was just thrown throughout the book, like the author forgot to mention this in the beginning and now I must clarify about it. There was zero emotion from the characters except for how obsessed the heroine was about the hero. The hero was a jerk and not obsessed as the excerpt claimed him to be. And if he truly cares for her he would have never risked her life and put her in danger by bringing her on his mission. And she was an idiot for even entertaining the idea that he is capable of love. At least the author did not portray the characters in a positive light. Oh! And not once did the heroine ever expressed sadness or anytime of feeling of missing her boys until like 70% of the book and it was like one sentence. The whole story drove me bonkers but I knew I had to finish it because it was that ridiculous.

Boring. Desperate. Just NO!

Disclaimer: I did NOT finish the book

I tried. Within the first chapter I knew I wouldn't like the book. From the friends she was envious of and inner dialogue of disdain she had towards them to her obsession over a one night stand. I HATED THIS BOOK. It's such a bore. She's so needy and desperate. This isn't even instant love at first sight. Hell their coffee date wasn't even that interesting to be so obsessed with a one night stand 5 years later. Add to that he does not scream MAFIA. And using words like vulva to describe intimate moments. Overall this book gave me the icks.

Hard to read

This story was kind of hard to read, if you read any other mafia romance then read this your going to roll your eyes. There are parts where Marcello, the lead male who is a Mafia boss acts like a teenage boy who is unsure of himself. Which is not a trait one would see in someone who is the head of an organized crime group such as the Italian mafia. And then for June, the lead female who is introduced as a shy meek person who is so unsure of herself due to bad relationships, gets hit on by Marcello and she turns him down just to give into peer pressure from her friends and calls him the next day. She meets him for coffee and you get the impression that she thinks it's going to be some romance thing but turns out to be a hit it and quite it when he promptly leaves as soon as he makes a deposit. And she is left there all emotional because of how quick he left her in the dust. The story then jumps 5 years where she is a single mother of twins from her trip to Italy and it talks about her struggles she went through to get where she is with work and her life raising her boys and how she tried to f I ND Marcello but his number was disconnected and she had no way to find him to tell him about the boys. She is offered an opportunity to go to Italy and make a ton of money by helping her company fix some issues with the Italian branch. She has some reservations about leaving for 3 months but decided to go as she needs the money for her and the kids. But she is also hoping to find her one night stand because she is infatuated with him. This story goes on but the more you read the more you question thi gs like how little she talks orev3n thinks about her boys. She doesn't even call to talk to them like most single mothers would do. And even when her life is in danger her concer for her kids being without a mother or the lack there of is surprising. Then for Marcello he is on a mission to get rid of a rat who put his brother in jail, the day before his operation is to take place he finds out that he has twins but does not question it, ask to see pictures nothing just accepts that he is now a father and is going to quit the mafia for good after he gets rid of the rat. He even has couple moments where it makes you think that he is an inexperienced teen rather then a mafia boss. I had many moment were I was rolling my eyes and trying to figure out why I kept reading. The story plot is there but it could use some revisions to make it more believably. I can't see a crime boss or a mafia boss just walking away like is was no big deal or moving to another country to play family man away from the protection of their organization. Its just not realistic.

Buckle up this is a wild ride, dangerous men, alpha’s personified, possessive, oh, so gorgeous, brooding all the makings of a story consisting with three D’s (dark, delicious, and dirty) 😊. There will be suspense, betrayal, death, darkness, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe even love (ALL THINGS TO EXPECT FROM THE MAFIA WORLD). By the time you’ve figured out who is who and what is what, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
CAN’T SAY YOU WEREN’T WARNED!!!!!!
Our two love birds June and Marcello met in Italy the chemistry was so intense and the magnetic pull wouldn’t allow neither of them to walk away so they gave in to one night and that one night he gave her a gift that would arrive a few months later. To her credit she did try to find him, reach out to him but not success so raising her twins on her own for the past five years. Fast forward Marcello sexy as all get out mob boss now she is in Italy again this time for work however, he doesn’t remember any of his one night stands which I didn’t like that he didn’t remember her (I wanted her to leave a big impression like he left on her). After she finds out what he do for a living have her questioning her decision to tell him about her boys considering he could put them in danger but what she doesn’t know is he isn’t going to leave his family now that he know he has twin sons he will be their father rather she wants him or not they are his boys and will take them if need be but they will know their father so embarking on another adventure of being into his plot to get his revenge for his brother, her being forced to call in her notice, lie to her mom to keep her from worrying all while she is worrying about her babies and how she will be able to care for them once she gets back home but the question is he really going to let her go home never seeing his boys, is he really going to allow her to struggle trying to raise his boys, and will this second chance fate has given them prove to lead to something more than separation….maybe happiness.

Repetitive and Annoying

The MFC is an absolute idiot and a self pitying moron. The author spends so much time in this imbeciles head I kept skipping whole pages. She was so inconsistent and flip flopping on every issue I nearly gave up. I only finished the book so I could give a real honest review. I hope to save other readers who like a good mafia romance like myself the insanity. Average girl has one night stand on vacation and ends up pregnant. She spends the next five years pining for the stranger while being mad at him. She goes back to Italy for work. Does some dumb stuff like go to a bar in a strange country she doesn’t speak the language alone and tries to pick up another stranger while getting drunk! This numb brain has two kids at home seriously?!? She gets kidnapped because she is just that stupid and the mystery guy saves her. He thinks she is a spy and not the idiot she is and then we have 5 weeks of her being so horny she only calls her mom once just to lie to her and she doesn’t even check on her children?!? And most of the good qualities she finds in the MMC are superficial like his looks and money. She immediately wants him to take care of her and the kids. This doesn’t stop her from judging him and his lifestyle although as long as it provides for her and her kids she is willing to forget how he came into such wealth. She hasn’t grown up since having her kids and she obviously doesn’t want to. The other characters in the book seem to be so random and are never really explained or flushed out a bit. Maybe if we had gotten out of the lunatic females head a bit the other characters of the story could have been explained more. Just saying.

Confused feelings on this book. In truth. It’s maybe a 3.5

Had all the makings for a good book. I felt their chemistry.
But I was confused, by the notion he felt their connection, but immediately left, thought that was an ass move. And didn’t immediately recognise her upon seeing her again.
But at the same time, it’s refreshing, books like these often have one night stands they remember for years to come.

June had absolutely no connection to those kids. She never spoke to them directly. Didn’t seem even miss them.
Go as far to say they just seemed a burden to her.
And, after all that with Marcello’s brother, they didn’t even see each other.

Just didn’t pan out the way I thought it would.

I wasn’t even sure they were in love. They never said it, and wasn’t even sure at what point they considered themselves “together”.

In truth the only thing what saved it, was their chemistry and their intimate moments. That was well written.

Mafia books are my jam, but this one completely missed the mark. It wanted to be there, and it tried so hard, but it just didn’t make it. The h was annoying. One minute she’s whining the next minute she is screeching. She is obsessed with the H after having a one night stand and getting pregnant with twins. She pines and fantasizes over him for 5 years and jumps at the chance when her job sends her back to Italy. Of course she finds him immediately, he kidnaps her, she realizes he’s a criminal and helps him plan a mission which she takes part in and then convinces him to walk away from his entire mafia empire and come back to the USA and play daddy. Just not the dark mafia books I’m use to. The writing felt immature and cheesy in some parts.

If you want a vanilla, bright white mafia read, this is the book for you.

Story was ok for the first 5 chapters unlit the Heroine she runs after hero in Italy…who doesnt remember her from the ONS they had 5 years ago.
She on the other hand remembers every single detail and recounts it to him while he could barely remember his hookups…including her (you get his POV 🙄) who wants to read about pathetic heroines running after a man…and the rationale is behind her not being able to let go of this memory was bc she felt ‘something special’ and of the course the kids.
She’s obsessed with him and he uses that to his advantage as he holds her hostage (may as well get something out of her which is his line of thought to keep her from trying to “escape”.
Obviously I didn’t like this book.

Mafia romance.

I only gave it 3 stars because that's all it deserved in my opinion. The Don did seen to act or talk (think) like a true Don. His father was Don and he grew up in this business. He seems to immature unexpierence. No mafia would be like his. I didnt like his dialect at all. But this is only my opinion and we all have different ones so you may injoy it. This story could of been great if the Don actually sounded like one. But none would of guessed he was a Don interacting with him. But give it a shot you personally may like it. I think reviews weren't bad at all.

Writing was mostly ok

The story was so unbelievable it is almost ridiculous. Girl goes on vacation in Italy gets pregnant with twins. Ok then it goes downhill from there. Goes back to Italy 5 years later, gets kidnapped then saved by father of children only to be held captive. Easy to get out phones home fyi... Does not ask for help and/or run but goes back to room then starts to get into mafia business with a so called mafia leader to kill a guy. Pulease!!!!
I couldn't even finish the book. Got to 75% and couldn't take it anymore.

Started out good but…

The description sounded great and the beginning was even better but then it went downhill from there. The female lead turned into a complete idiot. Had no self respect for herself and no concern for her children. How do you call your mother in a dire situation and not even ask about your 4 year olds or send them messages of love (just an example of how ridiculous this female character was written). Luckily I have kindle unlimited or I would have been upset purchasing this book. Didn’t even finish it 🤦🏽‍♀️

Twins for the Mafia Boss

This story was really, really slow getting started. It got better with the hookup, but then petered out really quickly. The pace and interest-gathering didn’t occur until she runs into him again five years later. After that, the typical mafia scenario unfolds and it becomes a worthwhile read. Something to pass the time, a smile-inducing HEA before you head off to bed. Enjoy.

waste of time

It was obvious to me early on in this book that it wasn’t worth my time to finish it but I stuck with it in hopes that it would get better. The writing seemed very juvenile to me and and a lot of the situations and dialogue were not anywhere close to believable. I wouldn’t recommend this book

No, just no

It had great potential but everything was too easy. The hero in this didn’t give the emotions I would expect with learning about huge life things.( I don’t give spoilers). Beginning was great. Starting at the 5 years later till the end I found myself skimming 25 percent.

not enough compassion

I feel the main character june was a horrible mother she kept saying how having the twins ruined her life and how it was a mistake but then would turn around and go but I would kill for them another thing Is the kids were barely mention and the book title is twins with the mafia boss

Not great

Unfortunately, this story was not what I expected. I could not get into any of the characters. I still read the whole thing, but this story was not for me. The hero is just unredeemable for me and she is weak in my eyes.
