As any true sports fan will tell you, once you have an allegiance to a team it's set in stone. It's unwavering. It's finite. You never leave. Yet somehow, I’ve been asked to do just that. To set aside my love for The Yankees and take ownership of The New York Lions - the worst team in Major League Baseball. Oh, yes, and turn them into winners. An impossible job I don’t want, from a gift I couldn’t get a refund on. But bring me a challenge and I will rise to it... Never, in all my thirty one years, have I shied away. And, technically, I still haven't. Because, technically, I haven't accepted this particular challenge. Or two. Enter Lowe Slater. The woman of my dreams. The woman I've loved from afar since I knew what love meant. My sister's best friend and the one who's been tasked to help me. Twenty-five years I've kept Lowe at arm's length. Now she's everywhere I go. I have a team to build and somehow I’m doing it with Lowe by my side. The walls I’ve so carefully constructed are falling down brick by brick, and soon it's not just the Commissioner's Trophy at stake. It's my heart, too.
Lulu started writing by accident, and somehow found herself stuck in a fictional world of ice hockey, baseball and billionaires. A world she has no plans to leave. She's the creator of The New York Players Series, The Tuesday Club Series, and The New York Lions - the worst team in the M.L.B.
More recently she's ventured across the Atlantic to where her latest novel is set - the beautiful cities of Oxford and Cambridge, and the annual rowing showdown on the River Thames.
She's a big fan of strong heroines, because those fierce alphas need someone to keep them in check. You'll find her navigating her way through Romance Land one HEA at a time, and trying to figure out the latest social media platform she needs to post to.
The Show is the 3rd and final book in The Tuesday Club series and recently the audiobook came out. I have had the best time with the audios for this series and had to jump in immediately! This is a billionaire, best friend’s brother romance, where the hero has been pining for yearssssss.
Penn has been in love with Lowe, his sister’s best friend for decades but he never thought he stood a chance with her! Now he ends up with a new baseball team (thanks grandpa!) and Lowe starts helping him. Penn’s grandfather bought the New York Lions, a failing baseball team and tells Penn he wants him to turn the team around and give him a World Series win before he dies. No big ask or anything for the diehard Yankees fan!
I feel like the books in this series just got better and I loved the fact that the heroine was the hero’s childhood crush! It was also so much fun seeing Jupiter Reeves and the entire setup for his romance and book in this read having already read his book, The Third Baseman.
One thing I know for sure is this, Lulu Moore struck gold when she first thought up her Tuesday Club boys. Murray, Rafe & Penn are the epitome of what can only be hailed as the perfect rich guys with a bromance to rival any love story. And it’s those bro moments that are without a doubt my favourite parts of the series. And this one is no exception.
Penn is a cocky yet sulky playboy who’s feeling oh so sorry for himself when he’s dealt a family blow. But his boys are there for him, like he’s been there for them. Especially when it comes time to deal with his childhood crush. Lowe. Penn is nothing like I expected, his cockiness and dry humour is still there but is slightly overshadowed by his lack of all things vocal when it comes to Lowe. What Penn dues have is a tongue on him, and boy dues he know how to use it!
Lowe is headstrong and knows what she wants, like the other women who have joined the Tuesday Club Boys, she has a backbone, which we all know I love! I did feel for her with her overbearing mother, I would have loved to of throttled the interfering old bag!!
I have had so much fun reading about these guys. There’s such a great friendship feel which is Moore’s signature when it comes to her books. It makes reading them a pleasure! I’m just sad the Club is closed for now…. But we all know who comes next ….
Tropes: billionaire, best friend’s brother, baseball
Oh Pennington how I love you! Penn is the cinnamon roll golden retriever with a heart of gold and Lowe ya the perfect girl for him.
Our story starts with Penn being gifted the worst team in baseball. After a few months of misery, and the help of his found family, he rallies to start his mission to create the best team in baseball! Enter Lowe, his sister’s bestie and the girl he’s been in love with since he was 5, who is recruited to help with PR for the team. Lowe has zero idea that Penn actually likes her because he’s been mostly silent around her their whole lives. Together they work to build the team and fall in love. Along the way we get cameos from past players and glimpses into what is to come!
I loved Penn and Lowe. They were just so damn sweet and I had a smile on my face this entire book!
Lulu. You are a doll and an amazing friend. Thank you for this arc. Congrats on another great book and wrapping up the Tuesday Club boys. Bring on Jupiter!! I’m ready!
in the first or second book, penn (the mmc) let us know he was tired 'cause he was awake all night having sex with a woman. having said that, he wasn't my cup of tea, and with this book i could confirm that. he was telling everyone (even himself) that he's been in love with his sister's friend since he was 5! but at the same time making out with every woman on earth BRO THINKS WE BELIEVE HIM 😭🙏💀
Before I dive into this review I want to thank Lulu Moore for the opportunity to read this book as an ARC reader before it was released. I am completely honored.
The Tuesday Club series (billionaire boys club series) is my first series by Lulu but it will NOT be my last. I plan on reading her hockey romance (backlog) as well as her upcoming baseball series - I mean Jupiter is in it and ifykyk
This is the third and final book in the Tuesday Club series and it stars our dear boy Pennington (Penn). Penn is a spoiled billionaire MMC and a total cinnamon roll. Nothing seems to phase this man as his IQ is through the roof, he has more money than God and has two best friends that tend to cater to his whims. Well, nothing phases him except finding out he is now the owner of one of the worst baseball teams in America...

"𝓕𝓸𝓻 𝔂𝓸𝓾, 𝓛𝓸𝔀𝓮, 𝓘 𝓱𝓪𝓿𝓮 𝓮𝓷𝓭𝓵𝓮𝓼𝓼 𝓹𝓪𝓽𝓲𝓮𝓷𝓬𝓮."
Penn has loved his sister's best friend since he was 5 years old. They have an opportunity to work together and with the forced proximity they grow closer. The banter between these two is amazing and watching them finally come together is top-tier.
I was completely surprised at how emotional this book was at moments, especially with a cinnamon roll MMC. I went in thinking it was going to be all sunshine and playfulness and while that element is there you really do go on a journey with Penn.
I’m never shocked when I pick up a Lulu Moore book. At this point she has become such a comfort author for me. I know I’m going to love whatever story she gives us.
The Show is no different.
Lulu can craft a sports romance like nobody’s business. The fact that she can get into the nitty gritty of baseball management and not make me want to die of boredom is such a talent. Instead she writes a hell of a romance. Complete with unrequited love, Penn and Lowe give us a romance that is as swoony as it is spicy.
Penn is such a fun character. We know him from the first two books in the Tuesday Club series but the shy and bumbling guy he is around Lowe is a new side we haven’t seen. I love how Lulu wrote his passion for baseball and his love for Lowe.
Lowe is so sweet and her backstory is so different and interesting. It was fun to watch her come into her own as the story progressed.
Overall, this was yet another five star read from Lulu and I can’t wait to read what’s next!
Thanks for the ARC, Lulu. Recovering from having a baby is no fun but having a book to read (by one of my favorites) helped immensely.
Lulu never misses. This book had me swooning from the dedication to the acknowledgments. My perma grin was in full effect the entire time I was reading this book.
There is so much more to Penn Shepherd than meets the eye. He surprised me (I know, I said the same thing about Rafe, but it is definitely true here as well). Penn comes across as the eternal playboy that no one sees settling down. In reality, he has been pining for his sister's best friend since they were kids, always believing he had no chance with her. Lowe Slater thinks Penn doesn't like her because he never talks to her. She has no idea that he is so in love with her that he loses the ability to speak when she's around.
They are forced to work together when Penn takes ownership of the New York Lions baseball team. Watching the relationship develop between these two made me so happy. Penn is all in! He is romantic and such a dirty talker. Lowe is perfect for him as they support each other in their work lives and watching her fall for him was delightful.
There are so many things to love about this book. I could go on and on, but I'm going to run out of space soon, so I will list a few more below.
-Penn's love of baseball and the connection it has to his father had me teary eyed. -The Tuesday Club. I love the Murray and Rafe scenes. The brotherhood between these three is one of my favorite aspects of all the books in this series. -The little nods to other characters from the NY Players.
-Jupiter Reeves
I CANNOT wait for baseball season! Get ready for the NY Lions!!
This was beyond amazing as per usual with Lulu Moore books.
Penn was the cutest golden retriever of a man. He's funny and sweet and caring but also fiercely protective of his people and the most amazing friend. That he's loaded is only a plus because what makes him rich is his heart.
Lowe was sweet and driven and hardworking and stood up to herself when she needed to and I adored her.
Both complemented each other fantastically and their romance was sizzling and so hot but also super sweet.
The plot was great. I liked that the conflict felt realistic and that it wasn't solve magically. I also liked that their relationship built up slowly but surely and when it finally started ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 amazing.
I love everything LM writes and this was no exception. A fantastic addition to this series.
Now my only complaint is that I'll have to "patiently" wait for Jupiter's book (that teaser 🤩🤌) and also NYL (series?) ... can't wait!
He's the cinnamon roll, golden retriever, and vulnerable guy whose loved one girl his whole life and it's happens to be his sister's best friend, Lowe. 🥺🖤
Lowe and Penn were perfect for one another and I loved the baseball aspect of the book as well!
It's always a pleasure to Lulu's books because she never misses!
So many sports romances, so few baseball romances. Well, Lulu gave me what I want!! I loved this book so darn much. Definitely my fave of this series!
What to expect:: •Best friend’s brother •BASEBALL •Workplace romance •NYC setting •Billionaire playboy who finds personal and professional happiness •Heroine who finds her own independent footing •Friends from previous books in the series •BIG hints and set up for her next series! 🔥Open door steam
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again - Lulu has done the smartest thing ever. Created a world with characters that just keep building on each other!! Romance readers love nothing more than updates from their previous faves, and I promise her series’ will make you sooooo happy!!
The Show is the third and final book in The Tuesday Club series (I’m not crying you are 🥹).
Billionaire, Best Friends Brother, and he’s the owner of the worst baseball team in the MBL!!! Since I started this series I was soooo looking forward to Penn’s book, and I was not disappointed!!
I was in love with Penn and Lowe straight from the beginning! And the fact that he’s been in love with her since she was 5!!! Screaming and kicking my feet for real!!
Lulu Moore has become such a fast favourite of mine and I cannot wait to dig into the rest of her books!
This series has brought me all the joy. I've been impatiently waiting for Penn's story because he was such a strong, loud character in The Secret and The Suit. And Lulu did not disappoint! I loved the in-depth explanation of baseball from Penn's perspective. I loved getting inside both of their heads: Penn always has been in love with Lowe and Lowe was completely clueless. The charismatic playboy completely clammed up whenever she was around...until he wasn't...and sparks FLEW!
The chemistry these two have when they finally realize it is off the charts. I love their banter, I love that he falls first and wants everyone to know it.
If you like: - Sister's best friend - Spice - Baseball romance - Great banter - Blonde MMC (so rare ,am I right?) - Swoonworthy moments This book is for you! Available TODAY! Free on KU but worth the book trophy!
You have owned my heart since the first time I saw you, and even if the past few weeks had never happened, you would still own my heart for the rest of my life. I’m never letting you go, Lowe. I love you. I’ve loved you forever and I have no plans to stop.
I’ll start by saying I enjoyed this because I love these Tuesday Club men and I definitely think you need to read the two previous books to fully grasp their relationship. However I felt this was much more focused on Penn and setting up the New York Lions series rather than on the love story with Lowe. Partly because Penn has already been in love with her, they go from 0 to 60 overnight with little to no conflict or angst. The romance felt a little on back burner in terms of development. It was very insta-love.
Despite is being a little ridiculous- he’s loved her but has barely spoken to her over the 25 years they’ve known each other 😳 it was still really sweet to see how gone for her he was. I will never not love an obsessed Hero. I did enjoy the simplicity and honesty of his feelings. Ah, to be loved that way 🥰🥰
The “conflict/break” if you could call it that was a little annoying because Penn was being such a man child 🙈 but it didn’t last very long and no drama came from it.
In all, it was an easy and pleasant read with great characters.
I do not give out 5 stars very often but this bloody well deserves it! For me to give 5 stars it means the book made me REALLY feel something and it means I was thinking about it even when I wasn’t reading.
This story had everything I needed to wrap up this wonderful series. Aside from Lulu’s incredible writing I really enjoyed reading about the set up of the club and getting all the new players/staff, I loved seeing more of the relationships between the whole group of characters, my heart was so happy with sooo much Jupiter Reeves and the icing on this incredible cake - BARCLAY ❤️ 🐾
Actual, literal perfection. The instalove trope was done beautifully, the spice was spicy, and the plot was fantastic. Penn came and might have knocked Murray off the top spot of guys for this series. Lulu wrote this in a way that you love Penn from the get go and then as Penn explains his love for Lowe, you fall in love with her too.
The balance of Penn and Lowe's story with side character action was amazing. You truly felt immersed in the entire group and it felt like a perfect ending for the series wrapping up everyone's stories.
The setup for the next series was fantastic. I adore this. Lulu, it was perfect!
I knew Pennington was going to kill me and kill me he did 🫠
It’s absolutely no secret that if this author writes it I’m reading and loving it. Her ability to write a story that hooks you from the first word is unmatched and this book was no different.
From the first book in the series I’ve wanted Pennington’s story, this was every single thing I hoped for. This man loves so hard and his passion is unwavering and I adored that about him. Again like all of this authors FMC Lowe is relatable- there were times I wished she had been stronger about things but in the end she felt real and I loved that.
These two have an undeniable chemistry and watching them together just…it was refreshing. Another home run! Now it’s time for Jupiter!
The boys of the Tuesday club all have my heart. They are billionaires who have the biggest soft spots for their women! I love them all so much.
I ate this book UP! Penn and Lowe have always been in each others lives, but penn has always been in love with his sisters best friend! It took Lowe a bit longer to notice Penn (only 25 years lol). I loved the unrequited crush and he falls first in this book. For Penn? It has always been and will always been Lowe!
I cannot recommend Lulu books enough!! They’re everything.
things to know before you jump into penn’s world: - billionaire romance (everyone’s rich af) - sports romance (baseball - but neither the MMC / FMC plays it) - sister’s best friend - childhood crush to friends to lovers - workplace romance (i mean we can consider that since she’s working with the boss right haha)
What a way to end this trilogy! It’s bittersweet to read a book knowing it’s the last in the series, but with Penn’s book, it felt like it’s going to be the start of something new. IYKYK! 😜
Finally, we meet Tuesday Club’s resident billionaire genius aka Penny (he hates being called as such, btw lol)! We all saw his breakdown over the news of him being the new owner of the “worst” team in the major leagues. Any diehard sports fan would know that loyalty towards one sports team is taken to the grave. One can't simply turn your back against a team you grew up supporting and loving most esp when it's more than just a team. For Penn, baseball has been a precious bonding moment with his deceased father. It's their time away from all the girls.
When Penn came to terms to the fact that he has been given the opportunity to manage his fantasy team, he needed all the help he could! Here comes the Tuesday club boys and their respective partners and *drum roll please* Miss Lowe Slater aka his sister Lauren’s BFF! I found it super adorable that Penn had a childhood crush over Lowe to the point he couldn’t act like his confident and cocky self around her! While everyone knew of this fact (he’s not really subtle), Lowe felt otherwise since she thought he despised her.
Thankfully, the baseball team brought out the best in our main characters! For Penn, he's able to reconcile the fact that he's not going to be the CEO of his family business. He can finally put into action his and his dad's dream. Circumstances might be different, but it gave room for Penn to suck it up and deal with this curveball. (Either way i enjoyed watching him act like a whiny brat hahaha) For Lowe, the job offer from Penn allowed her to start afresh after leaving her previous job. Her overbearing mother was even a catalyst to solidify her blooming relationship with Penn! (Tbh, I don’t want to see anyone hating on Lowe for not standing up on her mother early on, because it’s easier said than done, okay?! She needed to find the courage to be able to speak for herself without feeling like she’s disrespecting her mother whom she loves so dearly).
Their relationship was 25 years in the making. It may seem unreal that Penn never got over Lowe, but I guess the saying “First love never dies” is true in this book! There were moments when I felt like the relationship seemed rushed on Lowe’s part; however, when the chemistry has been simmering for the longest time, it probably takes one particular moment that will ignite the fire.
Here are some of my favorite quotes:
1. “I know you keep saying it’s only been a week, but for me it hasn’t. For me it’s been almost a lifetime. Lowe, I’ve been in love with you since I was five years old.” — see? They know it seems ridiculous to have those overwhelming emotions but it just makes sense to them most esp to Penn.
2. “If there was one thing I was certain about, it was this: what I’d experienced this past week, what I’d felt, I knew I never had before, and it was all because of Penn. I’d had my eyes opened. My heart opened. And while he might have had a twenty-five years head-start, I was using his map and heading in the same direction.” — abigail slater was truly the catalyst hahaha good bye to shitty dates and hello penn!
3. “I always knew you two would end up together someday.” — the thing i love about lulu’s books is how there’s always an omniscient character that acts as a quasi-matchmaker hahaha

Another outstanding, all-consuming and addictive read from Lulu! I have made it a mission to read Lulu’s entire backlist after reading this book. This book grabbed hold of my heart and didn’t let it go until the very end of the books and if her other books are the same… I need to read them!
You'll enjoy this book if you like these tropes…♡
✿ Billionaire Romance ✿ Baseball ✿ Sister Best Friend ✿ Top Tier Banter ✿ Workplace Romance (He’s her boss) ✿ Forced Proximity ✿ NYC Setting ✿ Playboy Hero ✿ Independent Heroine ✿ Characters From Other Series ✿ Open Door Steam ✿ Swoonworthy Moments ✿ Pining ✿ Found Family ✿ Boy Obsessed ✿ “It’s Always Been You” ✿ He Falls First
Penn is a diehard Yankees fan and is a spoiled billionaire who has just been gifted the worst gift ever from his grandpa. The New York Lions Baseball Team… aka The worst team in the league and it’s now his mission to build it into a winning team. However, if he has any hope of doing so, he needs help and the only person that can help him is Lowe, his sister’s best friend, the girl he’s been in love with but tried to avoid for the past decade. Now they are forced to spend time together and the more time they do spend together, the more those feelings resurface for Penn and he thinks he may be able to finally get the girl of his dreams.
Lowe is strong and independent and she knows what she wants. She takes no crap and has a backbone. She’s smart, sweet and relatable and I adored her! She has always thought that Penn doesn’t like her because he’s constantly avoiding having anything to do with her, little does she know that he is completely in love and obsessed with her.
They are forced to work together and spend a lot of time together when Penn becomes the new owner of the New York Lions and Lowe is helping him. The chemistry is explosive and the more time they spend together, the closer they get and a relationship begins to form.
I loved these two so much and this entire book! I loved the side characters just as much as I loved the main characters. I laughed and swooned. Penn was such a sweetheart and so perfect for Lowe and Lowe was perfect for him!
There is just so much to say about this but I do not what to give ANYTHING away because EVERYONE needs to read this book.
We left off in The Suit, finding out that Penn is no longer going to be taking over his families Company but his grandfather is gifting him The New York Lions. Ugh yeahhhhh Penn is not happy as he bleeds for The New York Yankees. So what does Penn do?! Well, in true Penn fashion, holes up in his penthouse pouting until he is visited by his sister Laurie and Lowe, the girl he has been in love with since he was 5 years old and has not said maybe more than 5 words to over the course of 25+ years. After thinking it over and talks with his boys Murray and Rafe, he decides he can do this. He can take the worst team ever, build it up and even beat his Yankees.
Lowe just quits her job PR company and is starting her own. Both Penn’s sister and Grandfather and as Penn takes on The New York Lions, Lowe works with him. Lowe thinks Penn hates her as he as always been standoffish and ignored her for most of her friendship with his sister but something flips and what goes from zero interaction to well…..yanno 😏
I was so excited for Penn. Throughout The Secret and The Show, I loved his humor. Penn is above average with his intelligence, funny but also a spoiled brat. He is also a little sensitive which I found endearing. His obsession with Jupiter hits a new level and all I can say is NASA… yes, NASA like space. Penn and Lowe’s relationship was hott! Like I did not think Penn was going to be the dirty talker he was but I support this 10000%! I also need to add that the amount of baseball terminology and description was on pointe. The balance of it throughout the book was perfect!! Job well done! I need to throw that out there because sometimes you pick up a book thinking you are going to get that sport within it and you get maybe a “game”. This was so much more and I loved it.
As always, we have Murray and Kit from The Secret and Rafa and Beulah and they do not disappointment. I am sooo excited for Jupiters book!!!
Penn and Lowe are definitely one of my absolute favorite book couples of all times and Lulu absolutely blew me away with their story! Penn has been in love with Lowe since they were toddlers and he first set eyes on her but he never said anything or made a move in all this time. So now they find themselves pushed together by their family and friends as Penn starts his journey of rebuilding the NY Lions baseball team. Their story is so full of fun banter and playful moments but also really emotional and equally as frustrated moments for us readers.
I have to say though, Lowe was a frustrating FMC for me at times. I found myself going back and forth between adoring her and wanted to scream at her. She was part wall flower when dealing with her mother but then also had a spine of steal when dealing with everyone else. It really threw me for a loop some times but I couldn't help but love her even with those crazy moments. And her mom..... that lady bring a whole new meaning to the term helicopter parent. It was pretty funny at times too when Penn would get jealous when she tried to set up her daughter. Definitely gave us some top notch possessive caveman moments that just made you swoon over Penn as a book boyfriend.
Penn is everything I imagined him to be in this book. In the Murray and Rafe's books we got to know Penn more and he really always had that golden retriever playboy air about it but in this book we get to see his insecurities and the real him come out more. He was sweet yet spicy and sassy all at once. He is definitely the life of the party that just hooks your attention but we also saw that unsure and sad part of him too when he was thinking about his dad and his family. I go back and forth between him and Rafe being my favorite men out of all of Lulu's books but I reserve the right to change that to Jupiter once his book comes out. IYKYK! Those teasers for Jupe just have my mind in overdrive and I can't wait!
Penn has been preparing his life for taking over the family company. He’s gone through all the steps just biding his time. But when that time comes, his grandfather switched things up. Instead of running a billion dollar empire, he is the proud owner of the worst baseball team in the league. If that’s not bad enough, he’s up against his beloved Yankees and, working alongside his sisters best friend who he’s avoided for years. He’s ready to prove everyone around him that he can make a winning team with plenty of big and unexpected changes. But can he survive being around the woman who’s plagued him nearly his entire life?
Lowe has finally decided to start her own PR company. But with the insistance of her best friend and her family, they want Lowe to help Penn get everything situated for his new baseball teams endeavor. But after finally having an actual conversation Penn she’s seeing him in a new light. Can she survive this new adventure or is she going to cross lines she can’t come back from.
I really liked these two. Penn wasn’t what I expected at all, I knew he was smart, stubborn, and determined but I didn’t expect his rection to Lowe. That man had a mouth on him, and he’s tenacious in every aspect of his life. Lowe is determined and driven. She wants to follow her dreams but not have anything derailed due to her overprotective mother. Also, loved seeing all the characters we know and love. The bromance they have is perfection and I can’t get enough. Finally, bring on Jupiter!
I did not want this book to end - loved it! Lulu Moore's books just get better and better.
Penn is a handsome, rich billionaire who comes across as the ultimate player - going from woman to woman and never getting involved and always getting what he wants. He is primed to become head of the family business but when his grandfather throws a spanner in the works, he throws a fit and acts like a spoiled brat.
In actual fact, Penn is very much in love with his sister's best friend Lowe Slater and has been since he first laid eyes on her as a kid. Lowe however thinks Penn just doesn't like her as over the years has barely spoken to her.
Penn lives for baseball and in particular the New York Yankees, but when his grandfather buys him the New York Lions (the worst team in the baseball league) they get thrown together to build a winning team.
Of course, this is a love story so as they start to get to know each other more, Lowe begins to have an attraction towards Penn.
There is so much to love about this book including the steamy scenes. I have said this before but I love the way characters from other books are included and new characters are introduced for future books. This was a great conclusion to The Tuesday Club Series, I hope we hear more about this trio of friends in The New York Lions Series - bring on Jupiter!
