According to research, children with autism are more likely to be bullied that their peers. They make easy targets because they're socially awkward and often times unaware they are being bullied. For the child with autism, there are severe emotional, and sometimes physical consequences to being repeatedly bullied.

The Bully Blockers tells the stroy of a boy who witnesses a classmate with autism being bullied and how he decides to get involved. This book shows that one child can make a difference when he has the courage to stand up for his classmate with autism.

Celeste Shally is mother and full-time caregiver to her adopted son with autism and intellectual disability. She is the author of Since We’re Friends: An Autism Picture Book and The Bully Blockers: Standing Up for Classmates with Autism. She and her husband, Mike, and their sons Cooper and Jaxon, live in Northwest Arkansas. In her free time, she enjoys reading, sewing, and trying to keep her flowers alive in the Arkansas heat.
