There are 7 building groupings each a chapter: places of worship; castles, palaces and forts; centers of power; designs for living; learning and leisure; transportation communications; and monuments and memorials. There are 100 items whose descriptions run 2 pages.

This book is so interesting! I love it so much that I bought another copy to give to my friend who works in architecture. I have been to several of the buildings in the book and love reading about new ones I plan to visit in upcoming trips.
