This is a highly practical book for the home gardener and cook. The seasonal layout is very useful, and the gardening tips are tried and true. With planting dates and recipes, I can see this becoming my go-to reference book. And if you feel overwhelmed by the effort required to grow your own food, Janette throws in the occasional 'Food for Thought' article which helps remind us of the far-reaching benefits of food production at home.

Good source of information for Canadian gardens. I found bits that have been lacking in other resources. She does a nice job pulling it all together into the months, which helps one focus on order.
