I received a gifted advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review as part if the book tour hosted by Lovebookstours.
Coffee and Ice Cream is another fun addition to the Tales from Animaux series and was just as fun as the rest of the books in the series. We meet Aubrey the Turkey and his friends for more quirky fun and misadventure. This is such a unique series with great lessons to be learned especially in regards to friendship. And Aubrey definitely has the nine lives if a cat. I loved howthis book was left open at the end leaving the reader to question if Aubrey will finally learn his lesson.

I have loved the other books that I have read in this series and this was no exception, I was so excited to be back in this world again.
As usual the stories are funny and engaging and I love the characters who I have taken to my heart, even the grumpy ones.
I love the writing style and the formats of the book which makes it easy to either completely devour the book - which I did or read in sections.
Highly recommend reading these books for some pure escapism into the wonderful world of animaux antics.

Book 4 in the Island of Animaux series.
Yet another set of stories in this brilliant series following the adventures and antics of Aubrey the Turkey and his friends Walli and Clifford.
Although Aubrey is often not very pleasant to his friends and neighbours, there's always a lesson to be learned and fun to be had.
I love that each story is split into smaller scenes so that they can be read as one whole or in smaller chunks - this makes them really easy to dip into over the day or to read a full story before bed.
This set of 5 stories makes for a hilarious read. I found myself chuckling throughout (although this set has a bit of a shock at the end of one of the stories!) Will things work out for the best for the friends ? .... Will Aubrey ever learn ? ....

The five new tales in ‘Coffee and Ice Cream’ flow smoothly from the ones in the last book, ‘A Surprise Party’. As always, the greedy, dusty, bad-mannered Aubrey the Turkey is up to no good. Watch him open a new delicatessen in the worst place imaginable. See him ruin poor Georgina the Goat’s birthday. Be amazed as Walli Hog and Clifford Platypus take on many jobs so they can pay off the turkey’s huge debts. And then see Aubrey hold a magic show, full of rubbish tricks but ending with the most amazing spell ever cast. Once again, stories packed with fun, silliness, naughty behaviour and happy endings.

I find the books about The Island of Animaux very funny. It’s a real pleasure to back reading another book in the series by Milo McGivern, with his incredible imagination of animals that can talk and do unbelievable exciting things.
Milo McGivern has become one my top favourite children’s authors after reading a few titles of his very unique funny books in the series.
I confess my lips are sealed of where the cast of animals live as it’s top secret. And what makes the series of The Tales from Animaux is in every book the animals live somewhere completely different.
The whole series of Tales from Animaux is so much fun, that children will love readings all of them.
Children adore making things out of paper and so does Clifford and Walli. But what they made, can be rolled-and kicked along the path until Walli kicks it down a drain.
How funny is this, a toilet is made into Caffe e Gelato, with a Turkey with a curly moustache, speaking in Italian, serving.
But Turkey looks a little familiar just like Clifford’s and Walli’s friend Aubrey. The question is are they right?
I was so hooked into this story, so I know children are in for a real treat with reading Coffee and Ice Cream. A lot more happens but, I’m not revealing.
I do hope that children will get all the book series of Tales from Animaux in their Christmas stocking. 🧑🎄📚

This is my first foray into the Animaux world, but it won’t be my last!
I immediately wanted to sign up for the tour on first seeing the cover. I mean look at that illustration. It screams quirky brilliance (and it isn’t lying). This book is hilarious, odd and filled with the most adorably silly moments.
I laughed (and even Eww’d a few times) so much that I started making notes in the actual book. In the end, I had to stop because I was making notes several times on nearly every page. I honestly cannot begin to tell you how funny, a little gross (at times) and gorgeous this book is.
I also love that it’s very relatable. How many of us have a friend like the very obnoxious Aubrey? You know the kind, a friend that pushes us to our limits, but we know deep down (or in Aubrey's case deep deep deep deep deep deep down lol) they have a heart of gold or at least we hope they do! Lol
Kids, adults and even pets lol are sure to love the many adventures and antics of this fabulous trio.
And finally, the names of the other animals that appear are excellent! Lol Every time I was introduced to a new Animaux resident, I smiled.

Hilariously funny for grown ups and children alike! My kids adored Coffee and Ice Cream & Four Other Stories. I have a middle grade reader and a young reader and they both enjoyed following the antics of Aubrey the Turkey and his friends Walli and Clifford. This is the 4th book in the Animaux series but it doesn’t matter if you haven’t read the other three…not one bit, each story is a little pocket of standalone heaven that are the perfect size for bed time reading! Also, splitting each story into smaller scenes make it even easier to read with little ones.
A lovely little addition to the stories is that you can actually search for the Island of Animaux, both my girls loved going on the hunt for this magical island. That and the fabulously creative illustrations throughout really brought the stories alive long after we’d finished the book
A great read and we’ll definitely be adding the other collections onto our wishlist!

If you are a regular reader of my reviews then you will know that me and my nephew absolutely love the ‘tales from Animaux’ books! We have been waiting patiently for this one and we couldn’t wait to sit down and catch up with the gang from Animaux!
Like the first three books this one is written in the same format, one main story and four others. I loved the second story ‘The Goat's Tale’ which is about a Goat called Georgina who has a matted tail and perhaps more interestingly, a huge crush on Aubrey the turkey! It’s such a beautiful story!
Aubrey’s ways and general attitude towards life and himself are even more hilarious in these story’s and we cannot wait for the next set!

My first visit to Animaux world and I wish I had visited sooner! From it's quirky pictures and front cover, to the stories inside everything about this book made me love it.
Any child or even adult would love reading the craziness that is Clifford, Walli and even Aubrey, the obnoxious one! I found myself laughing more than a few times as I read these tales of the animals.
All the separate stories had their own charm or eww factor and I revelled in every one of them. I was surprised how cute and funny this book was.

Another instalment of stories about Aubrey, Clifford, Walli and their friends. A goat finds love, Aubrey opens a deli and builds a rocket, everyone gets jobs. They're really fun, short stories to entertain children. I was amused by them and I haven't been a child in 21 years. Aubrey is still a selfish, greedy turkey and his friends continue to be far too forgiving. Life lessons for small children in there somewhere.

This is the 4th instalment of stories following the three eccentric animal friends Clifford, Walli and Aubrey. I enjoyed all the stories in the book and I loved the dynamics between all the main characters and the many side characters that often popped up. I was always kept on my toes by Aubrey the Turkey’s unpredictable plans to open up businesses or to become an astronaut which never seemed to go to plan, some say because of lack of preparation and planning but Aubrey would never admit that.
This would be a great read for anyone who’s looking for something a little more lighthearted. The illustrations are also lovely and really fill me with nostalgia because the art style is similar to that seen in Roald Dahl books for example.

Having read several books in this series I couldn't wait to revisit Animaux and catch up with its inhabitants.
The stories are so much fun for both children and adults. The underlying message in Coffee and Ice Cream was friendships and how not to treat your friends.
We catch up with characters old and new, Aubrey the turkey was my absolute favourite, although his behaviour left a lot to be desired at times, he had some crazy ideas under his wing!
Coffee and Ice Cream is entertaining, lighthearted and a whole lotta fun.
