Being Sugarplum Falls’ most sought-after nanny was something that I prided myself on. I was great with kids, and I hadn’t met a parent who I didn’t have a great relationship with. That was until I met Elliott Weston.
He was new to town and as grumpy as he was good-looking. When he offered me the job— with the requirement that I would work exclusively for him— I couldn’t turn it down. It wasn’t just the outrageous salary that had me on board, it was the little boy with sparkling blue eyes that did me in.
I tried to remain professional and keep my focus on his son, but Elliott was a distraction I never saw coming. Just like the unexpected blizzard that kept me stranded at his house, making it even harder to ignore the heat radiating between us.
When I finally started to let my guard down, a curveball was thrown my way and challenged everything I thought I wanted.

I loved this single dad, nanny, age gap, forced proximity, small town, forbidden romantic comedy! Not only was the spice top-notch, but this book was perfectly paced. This book was not only sweet, but steamy and I loved the connection Sunny had with Elliot's son Alex! This novella had all the Christmas, cute family vibes, and it was perfect to get me into the holiday spirit!
Marie Hawkins’ narration was clear and I loved the way she voiced the different characters!
While Sunny was both excited and nervous to nanny exclusively for the new single father in town, Elliott Weston, she was sure everything would be fine. And, the sweet little three year old boy was as cute as they come. But, her relationship with his very grumpy father was something she never saw coming.
Elliott hasn’t even considered another relationship after his extremely nasty divorce, so why does he have the hots for the nanny his son is falling in love with? But, the more time they spend together, the more he can envision just what it could be like to have Sunny become a more permanent member of their household. And, when a blizzard strikes town, they get to play house when Sunny is stranded with them for a few days.
But, just when things are looking positive an unexpected reminder shows up at the door reminding Sunny of her place and threatening to ruin everything she, Elliott and Alex had been working towards.
I have to say, I’m so in love with the Christmas loving town of Sugarplum Falls! First, Jackson and Emily and now, Sunny and Elliott! What starts as a professional relationship slowly introduces what seems to be a bit of harmless flirting, but both Sunny and Elliott find themselves in very deep very quickly. They are adorable together as they begin testing boundaries. And, sweet little Alex is the icing on the cookie in this book!
Super fun, extremely hot (did I mention Elliott owns an adult toy company?!) and sweet as can be, Blame it on the Eggnog left me with all the holiday feels and looking forward to the next couple to be hit with all of the merry in this Christmas crazed small town. 5 stars.
After relocating from Florida to the small town of Sugarplum Falls, Idaho, one of the first items on single dad Elliott Weston's to-do list is finding a nanny for his 3-year-old son, Alex. He offers the job to Sunny Wells, who quickly draws Alex - and Elliott - in with her kind and caring personality. He tries to put his personal feelings for her aside, concerned about the nearly 15-year age difference between them as well as the possible impact a relationship could have on his son, but when Sunny is forced to temporarily move in with them during a blizzard, it becomes impossible to fight the attraction. As Christmas approaches, Alex is thriving and Elliott's relationship with Sunny is deepening when an unexpected visitor changes everything. Can Elliott convince Sunny that their love is worth fighting for?
I very much enjoyed this sweet yet steamy holiday romance. Sunny and Elliott's relationship got off to a bit of a rocky start because of his efforts to deny his feelings for her, which sent some mixed signals. Once he stopped fighting the attraction, however, they made a great couple. While the relationship moved quickly, I believed in the strength of their feelings for each other. Further, I loved their steamy chemistry as well as the sweet family moments they shared with Alex. This really was the perfect read to get me into the holiday spirit.
I highly recommend "Blame It On The Eggnog" for all contemporary romance fans and look forward to the next book in the series.

A sexy little story from Samantha Baca. Blame it on the egg nog is a Nanny employer age gap story and book 2 in the Sugarplum falls series. Sunny is a nanny she takes care of most of the childen in the town of Sugarplum falls. So when newcomer Elliott arrives in town and needs someone to take care of his 3 year old son it is Sunny he turns to. Elliott is a single dad after his ex wife left them and never looked back, she took everything from him in the divorce. But the only thing Elliott wanted was his son Alex anyway, moving to Sugarplum falls was a fresh start for them. Oh and he owns a sex toy empire..which comes in handy later on in the book,if you know what I mean. Sunny is the perfect Nanny to take care of Alex he loves her,but having her in his home everyday teasing him with her sexy little body,it is torture for Elliott. Sunny is also having fantasies about her new boss..he is such a wonderful dad a bit clueless but he loves his son...and she adores 3 year old Alex...but it is so inappropriate to be lusting after his dad. There is so much sexual tension between Elliott and Sunny and its only a matter of time before they give into there passion. This is another cute and steamy story from Samantha Baca centered around the holidays..I enjoyed listening to the audiobook which was narrated by Marie Hawkins who was brilliant. I enjoyed listening to her story telling she really brought this book to life. This is such a great read or listen and perfect for anyone wanting to listen to a quick romance with a holiday feel. Excellent 5 stars.
I am absolutely loving this entire series! Great for the holidays! Love the sunshiny nanny and the grumpy dad! Having spent so much of my life working with kids I completely understand how a nanny could make a real difference in a child's life. I love how she talked to Alex and how she protected him. I also really loved that the dad owned an adult toy company and that Sunny got to try some of them out both solo and with Elliott. I couldn't help but wonder how the dad was going to explain to his son what he did for a living as he got older. I would have loved to be a fly on the wall for that conversation.
I loved the relationship between Elliott and Sunny. There was an age gap but I really didn't feel like it was an issue in their relationship. Elliott was overly worried about crossing a line with Sunny but in truth she was very mature. I thought they made a great pair. I also really liked that she was not a virgin heroine. She was less experienced than he was but that made for a great dynamic between the two.
My favorite part hands down about this book was the pancake scenes! I loved how Sunny took the time to find out why Alex's pancake request was so important to him and she helped Elliott understand the importance. Loved these two scenes so much! She helped open Elliott's eyes to what was important in life and him being receptive to her advice (or sometimes critique) started taking the time to make memories with Alex.
Tropes: *Nanny *Grumpy/sunshine *age gap *Hallmark vibes with spice *adult toy play (solo and together) *snowed in

Sunny is the go-to nanny in Sugarplum Falls. When new resident Elliott hears this, he is eager to have Sunny nanny his young son, Alex and even offers her double what she normally charges to nanny Alex exclusively. Sunny can't say no with the money Elliott is throwing at her.
Elliott works from home and at first, Sunny isn't exactly sure what he does for a living, other than owning his own company. Once Sunny signs for a "noisy" package delivery and takes it to Elliott, her questions are answered - he owns an adult toy company. After that, it doesn't take long for Elliott to get Sunny up to date on their products.
Elliott and Sunny are falling for each other hard when something else appears at the door. This woman isn't a package, but is Alex's mother, begging for Elliott to take her back. It doesn't take Elliott long to realize she is up to her old games, but is it too late for Elliott and Sunny?
LOVED: I loved everything about this book! It is definitely a favorite read this year! There isn't anything I found that I felt was out of place or missing. Everything flowed perfectly. I also had the amazing opportunity to beta read this book and it was so fun!
THIS BOOK IS FOR YOU IF: You are looking for a holiday themed age gap, nanny/billionaire romance that gives you a lot of spice in a quick read.
ARC review of Blame it on the Eggnog by Samantha Baca
-Holiday Novella -Nanny/Single Dad -Age gap -Forced proximity
Super fast, easy holiday read. Despite this being a novella with a short timeline, it doesn’t feel rushed at all. Perfect balance of sweet and spicy.
Thoughts: -Elliott has a very interesting job and it 100% makes it more spicy. I feel like Elliott falls for Sunny almost immediately, but he just starts it by flirting. They seemed to flirt to just see the others reactions at first before moves were made and I loved that. -I did think his son Alex seemed years older than he was. He was written as a 3yr old but seems more like 5 at the youngest. -Sunny did show her young age during the conflict portion of the story, but Elliott handled it so well! He didn’t use it against her because he knew she was young and not fully understanding.
4.5/5 stars I really enjoyed this sweet, funny, and spicy holiday novella! This story has some of my favorite tropes including forced proximity, age gap, and grumpy/sunshine.
When Elliott and his toddler son Alex moved to Sugarplum Falls, he hired Sunny as his new nanny. Elliott works from home and he runs a sex toy company. The two have pretty instant chemistry, but don’t want to mess up their professional relationship.
Running his own sex toy business, gives Elliott and Sunny the chance to test out some of his products and it is really hot! Sunny is much less experienced than Elliott, and he was happy to help her figure out what she likes. I also loved Sunny’s relationship with Elliott’s son Alex. It was really endearing.
This novella was such a fun and quick read! I can’t wait to see what this author will release next!
Elliot moves to Sugarplum Falls with his son after his divorce. Sunny is the town's most favourite nanny.
😊What i liked -
✔ Christmas Romance/Nanny Romance/Small Town/Grumpy Boss/Age Gap. ✔ Sunny's character is as sunny as the name. She is sweet, caring , strong and sunshiney. ✔ Elliot is as grumpy as it gets but is a super hands on Dad. ✔ I Loved their banter, their chemistry and the bond they shared with Alex. ✔ My absolute favourite was Elliot's profession. (Where can i sign up for being a volunteer? ) ✔ It is a fast paced easy read with lots of laughs, love and superciliously swoony spice.
🤔What could have been better -
✔ It ended a little too soon for me.
📚Who Should read :
👶Beginners 💝Romance Lovers 🎄Christmas Romance 🏡Small Town
Will make you need to eat oreos. Samantha Baca is one of those authors I know won't disappoint me! Her lighter books are a naughty version on hallmark so I'm all in! This Christmas novella has age gap, grumpy/ sunshine, forced proximity, and nanny/ single dad. Plus it has something I have never seen before... Fun with cookies! Not to mention all the interesting adult toys they play with. Elliott is new in town and needs a nanny for his 3 year old son Alex. He runs his adult toy company from his home office and needs someone who can keep alex happy while he is working. Sunny comes highly recommended and quickly wins over father and son. Elliott knows he needs to stay away from Sunny but when they get snowed in all bets are off! This short Christmas book is the perfect thing to read to get in the mood. I mean Christmas mood!
I thought this was a really fun, flirty, and sweet story with a side of steam thrown in. I highly respect it. Plus there are some really funny parts that will make you laugh out loud. Elliott and his son Alex have just moved to Sugarplum Falls. Elliott is a work from home CEO that needs a nanny. Sunny is the nanny that everyone in town has recommended to him so he hires her. Sunny immediately starts to build a great relationship with Alex, which helps him adjust to his new normal. Then Sunny and Elliott realize there is some sizzling chemistry between them. Everything gets a little crazy after the big storm but there is a HEA. I received this book as an ARC and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
I've just started reading Samantha's books and I couldn't put this one down. It's a sweet steamy fast Christmas read! Sunny is a nanny who is hired to look after Elliott's son, Alex. The chemistry between these two is electric from the start but neither one want to cross that boundary. A bad blizzard hits the town so Sunny stays with Elliott and Alex so she doesn't have to drive back and forth to her house. They can't fight their attraction anymore and with Elliott a developer of adult toys he tests them out with Sunny. 🔥🥵🔥 The sweet surprise in the epilogue is totally worth it.
"Children should never be used as bargaining chips." ❤ #facts
I am leaving my honest review for a complimentary copy of this book via the author.
Ok, I personally think Samantha Baca is queen of the small town romance. I feel like I have loved her forever and I'm pretty sure I have read all her books! The second book in her #SugarplumFalls series might be my new favorite! Sunny is Sugarplum Falls' most sought after nanny. Elliot and is son Alex, just moved in and he hires Sunny full time to take care of the boy. Only Elliot works from home, so they spend a lot of time together. He is a little older and more experienced, which leads to lots of pent up sexual frustration. Once they both realize they can't fight the attraction, there are tons of sexy times and an HEA that is meet-cute adorab
Elliott is new to the Christmas-obsessed town of Sugarplum Falls. After a bad divorce, he and his son needed a fresh start and this puts him closer to the factory of his adult toys company. He hires Sunny to be his new nanny and sparks fly immediately. When a snowstorm forces them to hunker down at his house, they act on their feelings. But can they make this work long-term? I will be honest that age-gap romances are not my favorite but I thought this was well written and a quick, steamy read.
I have read the first book in this series but you would not have to to enjoy this book - it works as a stand alone.
Sugarplum Falls, book #2 is Sunny and Elliott's story. Sunny is the local nanny, who has cared for most of the town's children intermittently. Elliott and his 3yo son Alex have recently moved to SPF from Florida after a failed marriage. Elliott hires Sunny to be Alex's full-time nanny, something she has never done. There is instant attraction despite the 15 year age gap. Forbidden romance, age-gap, steamy hot chemistry, and a little angst make this a winner. It may be short, but you don't feel rushed through the story.
I am a huge fan of this author and I love me a holiday romance so this was an easy choice to read this book. This is such a sweet and entertaining story. It’s Sunny and Elliott’s story and it is fun and flirty. It’s a single dad nanny romance. Elliott is this grumpy sexy single dad and Sunny is the nanny he should not be falling for. It was a perfect spicy holiday romance that you won’t want to miss. It has an adorable kiddo Alex and so much hilarious moments. I highly recommend you read this book.
This story between Sunny & Elliott was the perfect holiday romance story, and SugarPlum Falls was the perfect setting. Everything Christmas! When Sunny became Alex’s nanny she opened up Elliott’s eyes to so much and not just his interest in her. This story brought out so many emotions. The way Suny was so receptive and knew just what Alex needed and then also what Elliott needed and what she wanted. Sunny and some of her antics with Elliott would make you laugh out loud. She had her own insecurities but This author is new to me and I really enjoyed this story.
This was a sweet and spicy little story. Single dad Elliott has just moved to Sugarplum Falls and hired Sunny as his son Alex's nanny. Elliott runs a adult toy company and soon Sunny finds herself testing out new products. The relationship between these two is full of angst and build-up. Sunnys relationship with Alex is absolutely adorable and this town sounds like a dream. A fast read with all the Christmas cheer and a swoony older single dad ready to anything for his son.
This is the second book in Samantha’s Sugarplum Falls Series. You can’t help but fall in love with these characters. Elliott doesn’t know what he got himself into when he hired Sunny. She quickly stole his son’s heart as well as his, but he was giving her whiplash with his dirty talk and comments. The chemistry between the two was🥵 This was such a fun and spicy Christmas read. I may never look at sugar cookies the same😜
Holiday novella perfection. I loved the build up between Elliott and Sunny. There's instant attraction and a bit of inexplicable connection between the two of them, but they try their best to resist the pull towards each other. But a blizzard brings their chemistry to irresistible levels and they give in. This is a quick feel good read that still manages to add in emotional depth, substance, laugh out loud moments and steamy swoony goodness.
This book follows Sunny, Elliott, and Alex. I enjoyed the single dad trope. This book was pretty spicy. I loved the connection that Alex had with Sunny when she started as her nanny and got closer to each other. The tension in the beginning between Sunny and Elliott was nice and I enjoyed seeing how things developed between them. When Sharon came back it made me gasp wondering why she came back around Christmas time.
This holiday novella was so adorably sweet and funny too! The story gave me major 'Sound of Music' vibes with the rich single Dad and the Nanny he shouldn't fall for, but then it just gets way more spicy! This was such a cute story of falling for a guy you don't expect to and bringing a family together with the love of a child at the center of it all! Such a great read for the holiday season!
This holiday novella is both spice and sweet, involving an older single dad and a nanny. While Sunny has been hired to be the nanny for 3 year-old Alex, it becomes clear from the beginning that there are sparks between her and Elliott, the grumpy and single father. And although they try to not act on their attraction, Mother Nature doesn't cooperate.
Loved this story . Sunny, and Elliott were a great pair of hot and steamy at its best . The nanny turned lover is always pretty 😍 . I love how she can hold her own and isn't afraid to say how she feels . Can't go wrong with some hot and heavy romance, family love brought into it. Not only was it sexy for his job but it's always sexy to see a single dad with their kid :)

I loved this one! It was sweet and sexy, with a lovable cast of characters. Elliot was intense, in the best way, but patient and caring with his son and Sunny. Sunny matched her name… bright and warm, bringing sunshine wherever she want. The two together was scorching… and the Oreo scene 🔥🔥
Man oh man so good! Make sure you have a fan while reading Sunny and Elliot's story. Their chemistry is sizzling! And, the sexy scenes are straight-up fire! I loved everything about this steamy age gap single dad nanny romance. Loved Alex! I couldn't put it down. This is my second in the Sugarplum Falls series. I will be grabbing more. Highly recommend.
I absolutely love the sugarplum falls series. They are cute, spicy, and give all the feels! I think they’ll have to be an annual reread for me! I am completely in love with these stories! Spicy and steamy, lovey dovey and cute. All the perfect mixes! Read it if you haven’t!
This was a cute story. I don’t usually like stories with kids but she was in a nanny position so I’ll let it pass. I think Alex was way too intelligent for being a 3 year old so some things he said made me raise an eyebrow. Elliott started off as a grump but when Sunny told him he needed to think things differently for Alex, he started acting different.
Another trip to Sugarplum Falls? Yes, please! Elliot and his cutie pie little 3 year old are new to Sugarplum Falls. He hires Sunny, the town nanny. Elliot starts put as quite the grump but boy does sunshine Sunny turn that around. Quick, sweet holiday read with steam and an HEA.
