I loved this so much! I read this with with a group of pre-k kids (3s & 4s), and they really got into it. I used the tune "if you're happy and you know it" and sang it. The kids loved singing along and following the motions. I plan on reading this again and again!

"I've got clapping in my hands, in my hands. I've got clapping in my hands, in my hands. I've got hip-hoppinng, tip-toppinng, be-bopping, no-stopping, clapping in my hands, in my hands." This is a great text to get toddlers and preschoolers moving! I wish the illustrations were a bit clearer when it comes to the actions being described in the text as the child-like style doesn't make it easy to understand, but it was still a fun read for my little ones.

Though I love books that encourage movement, there was just something off about the rhythm in this book.

Repeating lines with catchy rhythm create a nice option for movement in storytime. Brightly illustrated with smiling happy children in motion.

This is such a fun book to read out loud. I'm thinking about using it in a storytime on dance or fitness, but I'm not sure I can pull it off.

A good choice for a "all about the body" (or music or dancing)toddler storytime.
