I would like to share as much of this book as I can so I'll keep the commentary to a minimum. I know far more about Chomsky's theories than Piaget's, so it was useful to be given a helpful comparison in the Foreword, by Howard Gardner:

This book is about one of the main resources on epistemology of language and you can find the world's most intelligent scientists arguing with each other on the origins of language in humans. Though the question of the language origin still remains a mystery, this book can give us insights through the discussions and the limited evidence that we have.
