So many great characters! Love the twists and turns in the story. I have read it twice and still trying to decide what I believe or don’t believe. That’s the best part. You don’t have to wait for Christmas to read.

This heartwarming story was a delightful blend of mystery and magic, reality and make-believe, humor and poignancy. The setting is a posh southern retirement community called Savannah Valley, so it was refreshing to read a book populated with "seasoned" characters whose problems, worries, hopes, and fears were conveyed with compassion and insight into human nature.

If you're not willing to entertain the idea of angels among us, this may not be the book for you, but I escaped happily into its story and characters. Reading this during the Christmas season was perfect since this sweet story contained a delicious blend of what we all need at Christmas: to believe in the goodness of our fellow man and the possibility of everyday miracles.

I struggled to figure out how I feel about this book. I love the idea and of helping others in big ways like the main character in this book does, and I definitely think more should be done by people who can. It was a very fast read, but at the end, I just wasn’t awed. It was okay, well written, but perhaps the premise is a little far fetched for me.
