Eh. I wasn't that impressed. Maybe this would be a fun story to spin to your child as they're falling asleep. But it just didn't work for me in a picture book setting. All I could think during most of the book was "When's it going to end?" But it has its cute, clean, happy-ending merit and I'm sure there are others who enjoy reading it.

I was expecting this to be book about Autumn (a few simple facts about the season), not just an adventure that happened then but could've been during anytime of the year. Not bad, just different than what I had hoped for because of the title. :/

Disorganized and sloppy, this was not a fall title that I would recommend as a group or individual readaloud.

Probably would have done a 2.5...I particularly dislike the "sack of smiles" - it just seems creepy. It's full of magic dust... An ok book tho.

Little Red’s Autumn Adventure, by Sarah Ferguson is about a little girl named Red who has magic dust that she used typically to help others in need. First she uses her magic dust to make a leaf big enough for her elephant friend to go leaf boarding down the big hill with her. She does this so that her friend does not feel left out. Then she finds two mice who are in a panic and are looking for their mom. Because the mice were scared of how big she was, she shrinks down to their size to help to help them out. Then when she can’t seem to find her magic dust to change back to her original size she starts to worry. But luckily at this time her friend was looking for her and found the magic dust to turn her back to her original size and her and the mice got to go to the party with the rest of the animals and they all got to celebrate.
The main theme of this book is about friendship and helping others.
I would give this book a 3-star rating.
Personally, I enjoyed the book and thought it to be very positive and kid friendly book. I enjoyed how kid Red was to everyone she encountered because, being kind to others is a huge part of who I try to be.
I would recommend this book because I think there is a lot that young kids could take away from this book including learning to be kind and look out for one another. This book would lead to a great discussion of what kids can learn from this book and what they can do in the future to help others.

I thought this was such an imaginative read. its like a little intro for kids into the fantasy genre of stories. i checked it out at the library to read to my 5 year old.

I read a lot to her, everyday for most of her life. We go to the library pretty regularly. She even made it through the box car children recently...it took a couple of nights.

Please, dont be too lazy to read to them. they learn so much about language, grammar and sentence structure from well written books.

Dont just go for the simple reads so you can get through it faster. This actually improves their attention span with books.
