A cute story about the turtles not listening to Splinter and hiding a cat in their place. A pregnant cat. Splinter learns to deal with his fears. A nice lesson for kids to see that even the adult can make mistakes.

A story of fears and tolerance, as told by the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Oh, my.

I suppose it's not uncommon for a parent to not quite 'get' or even enjoy some of the things that children do. I've never found myself enjoy the TMNT, but my youngest son absolutely loves them. That being the case, we may as well encouage his reading by getting books such as these.

The plot is overly simplistic, even for a 'Level 2' reader book, but the moral/message is strong.

Not my kind of book, but certainly it works for those who would buy this in the first place.
