Time for the Fair

Rate this book
Grace loves the fair. She loves it so much, she keeps asking her mother if it is time for the fair again. But a whole year must pass before the fair returns. This is a simple story about how a child anxiously passes the time from one season to the next. The text descriptions are wonderfully evocative, and the story's rhythmic, seasonal flow and soft watercolor illustrations make it a great bedtime story.

This is a neat book to help children learn about all the seasons of the year, what goes with each season. And about the county fair and the fun things that go along with the fair. A little girl loves the fair so much that she is always asking her parents is it time for the fair yet? And her mom help her to be patient with various things she does throughout the year until time for the fair.

This book was OK, but a bit draggy, and the illustrations weren't bad, although they were a bit drab. Nothing special here.
