No one finds happiness with the same pack twice. Right? In three months, I’m marrying the perfect-for-me pack. The SweetNothings are internationally famous rockstars who share my love of adventure. It doesn’t hurt that they have a private jet and spoil me rotten. But before I can tie the knot, my ex-pack needs to sign the divorce papers. When the judge refuses to grant us a divorce, I’m forced to move in with the alphas who put their careers ahead of my dream to go travelling. Now, for the next sixty days or until my next heat I’ll be living with Rafe, Julian, and Guy. Plus they’re gorgeous new omega, Ciarán, and Ivo, a lonely beta who lives with them. Yet the more time I spend in the house I once called home, the more I question myself. Have I been chasing what I thought I wanted instead of embracing what I need?
Flora Quincy is British-American author currently living in Glasgow with her Scottish Terrier, collection of stationery, and a daily pot of coffee. She fell in love with books at a young age. Reading romance, fantasy, and science fiction to escape into worlds far more exciting than real life.
With an overactive imagination, she had dozens of stories begun and discarded, before she decided to take writing seriously. Now those characters and worlds are finding their way to the page.
When she isn't reading or writing, she has a *healthy* relationship with the characters in her head. So far she hasn't been alarmed too many people while conversing with imaginary men and women as she takes the dog for a walk.
Other necessary facts: Natural ginger, who recently discovers she likes having pink hair. Food lover who hates olives and will always eat ice cream when it is well below freezing. And is a proud addict to writing lists... soooo many lists.
I just want to let everyone know that the manuscript has been sent back to the editor for another proof read/edit. I don't have an ETA for when I will get it back, but I will make sure that the corrected version gets pushed through to everyone who has bought the ebook / downloaded from kindle unlimited.
Many thanks for your patience and for enjoying Fake It Till You Mate It. Love Flora xx
First of all this needs an editing read, there is way too many mistakes the wrong names were where they shouldn't be at one point they were talking about Ciaráns heat but it said Guys heat instead and there were alot of times the names just got mixed up so I got confused which lead to alot of rereading.
I'm struggling of how to put my feelings for this book into words. I'm not sure what is wrong with it. It's just something isn't sitting right with me about it. To me it felt like Toni (FMC) was overstepping boundaries. I understand she was forced by the courts to live with beer ex pack but I felt she had had her time with them 10 years ago and left moving on with her life and so had they and had gotten another omega. Now I'm all for second chances but not when people/packs are already with someone else. One thing I didn't understand was Toni had come back to divorce her ex pack so she could move on and marry another pack but the guys had moved on and married another omega (Ciarán) but they weren't divorced yet. There was abit of jealousy between the Omegas and other pack members which to me didn't feel right if they were meant to be together and happy to be together then I didn't see the need to be jealou. It made it kind of feel like cheating but not cheating if that does make any sense.
To be totally honest I'm really not where I sit on this book I don't love it and I don't hate it. And it needs some serious editing.

I'm not going to actually rate this because I'm conflicted. I loved the components of this. I loved the individual characters. I love omegaverse/RH/two omega pack dynamics. But this entire book just felt like everyone was constantly the other woman in a relationship and everything felt like cheating. It was somehow very good, but also giving me the ick the entire time.
Okay so I finally finished it and stand by my previous thoughts but also want to add this desperately needs an editing read through. Nothing is misspelled but there's A LOT of errors. Things like referring to Guy's Heat.. you mean Ciarán? Several other times where names are just wrong. Missing and dubious punctuation along with wrong forms of words. Your vs You're, Their vs They're. It's all just a little disappointing.
I am so so so happy that I got to ARC read this book! I'm absolutely obsessed with Omegaverse at the moment and this authors book is a solid example of why.
Firstly let me express how much I loved the fact that the characters in present day are around my age and not late teens or early twenties which was refreshing.
We follow Toni's journey back home to London to check on her poorly mum and oh yeah, sort out the divorce to the pack she left behind. Life is never quite as easy as that though and what she thought would be a quick trip in and out turns into a bit of a nightmare when the judge informs her that she must live with her former pack ... and their new Omega. Not awkward at all. Right? Alphas Guy, Julian and Rafe, their Beta Ivo and Omega Ciarán welcome Toni with open arms and hearts but Toni has her focus on avoiding them as much as she can whilst dealing with the onslaught on emotions being back in Ivy Place house brings. Fighting attractions to both Ivo and Ciarán aswell as sorting through her feelings for the Alphas leaves Toni a little overwhelmed and confused, until a situation that leaves her angry and hurt but with a lot more clarity than she'd has happens.
This book was amazing. Emotional, funny and just the right amount of spice to make you sweat. It left me with all the happy feels and also a new love for pigeonsaurs. IYKYK.
I loved the addition of Gwen's drama throughout the book and hope to read her book in future... Pretty please?

I wanted to like this, and I wanted to finish this, but I couldn't overlook the abundance of typos and errors. This book badly needs another proofread and round of editing. Which is such a shame, as I loved the characters and the plot (hence me making it to almost 70%..).
I desperately wanted to like this, but the amount of errors kept pulling me out of the story, and really took away from my enjoyment. If this had been proofed and edited better I suspect I would have loved it.
Have you ever read a book that made you mad? Not because of the plot or the characters, but because the author could not string together a complete sentence that made a lick of sense? This is that book for me. I saw great reviews and though, “wow that must be a good book”… nope. Whoever rated this 5 starts either has very low standards or is illiterate.
DNF @ 11% aside from the chaotic story telling and ‘rough first draft’ vibe this gives off, she’s literally flirting with man while trying to divorce one group of guys and is currently engaged to another group. She just screams ‘I’m the problem.’ 😂
I promised myself I would dnf books that I had to force myself to keep reading, or ones that I didn’t see myself liking.
I love a good why choose omegaverse. And I love a book with a bunch of emotions. Also love the poly dynamics and the two omegas in a a pack situation. So this is right up my alley! I love the premise, the idea of a pack divorce, the second chance romance, and I really don’t mind that it’s kind of slow burn (for an omegaverse)
But I simply can’t with the fmc (Toni). She is a strong female omega that wants to explore the world. Ok, love that for her. But at the same time everyone around her lies and does things that they think are best for her even if she said she didn’t want that. And she just accepts it all????????
I really don’t get it. Those guys walk all over her and she says absolutely nothing. Also, all the relationship building frustrates me because that it’s not how people react to these situations. Also her relationship with her new pack is simply weird. The author doesn’t build a solid foundation for the characters to feel all those feelings that are going on.
I’m so frustrated with the characters that I can’t enjoy the plot or the development. And none of this makes sense. On “paper” this is the perfect book for me… but the actual things doesn’t make me feel anything but frustration.
Buddy read with my wonderful friends and we came to the same conclusion… this book needs another round of editing.
How the people who reviewed this have not called out the errors that seem to happen every other page, is baffling. Maybe all the 4-5⭐️ is for the storyline because it’s not for the formatting and proofreading part. Paragraphs end with no punctuation, missing words in places. It was really frustrating. I’m not sure why the beta or ARC readers didn’t point this out. Maybe she didn’t have any? I’m not sure, but it should have.
On the other side….the characters are interesting, the plot of the story is good. I’m just sad the errors drew me out of the story. And that’s sad 😞 Its a DNF for now. Maybe it will get cleared up soon.
I really really enjoyed this read. I loved how the pack really had to take a look at themselves and realize that they might not have worked out when they were so young, they really weren't ready for each other.
I'm absolutely obsessed with Ivo and Guy 🥵 they're both an absolute treat! Toni is a great fmc, I thoroughly enjoyed her, her friendship with Gwen, and her hilarious mother.
As always, check the trigger warnings before reading.
I received an ARC copy of this book but this is a voluntary review.
This is the Sweet Home Alabama omegaverse that I didn’t know I was missing. The emotions in this book were so raw, though, and it added a deeper dimension to the story than that of most omegaverse books. My heart literally felt for every character during their journey, and I was glad to see so much personal growth. It’s a definite must-read.
I'm a little unsure, how I should rate it. Don't get me wrong. I liked it! I was awaiting this book, since I read the premise. It is something different. I mean, a book starting with a pack divorce? I haven't read anything like that. Sure, a guy, the FMC left or the other way around, and gets a second chance after years meeting again, but now she has a pack? I have read that. Or an alpha unsure of a pack and going somewhere else. Ok. But it is rarely the omega that leaves a pack and gets back together with them. Mostly it is a bad pack, the FMC leaves behind, and finds a new one.
So, I really waited for this book to be released. And in some way I'm not disappointed at all. But it isn't perfect in any way, either. For one, there are errors. (I don't take it into account, I just want to mention it – as long as I know what is going on, and I can understand what I read, it doesn't bother me. But others might be triggered by that.)
And on the other hand, it is a slower build/burn. I mean, the first sex with the FMC is around 60% of the book. Before that mark, there is sexual tension, or only sexual encounters in the form of back flashes or between the guys of the pack (without the FMC present). But mostly it is about their inner thoughts, struggles and emotions. I'm not really into slow burn. I read it, yes. But I like to know it beforehand, too.
So, the book is mostly about the FMC and her problems. And the guys and their inner demons. And how they try to work through it. Though, the communication is shitty. So, there are topics that are repeated over and over again, without being solved of course. That was another fact I didn't really like. It's like a broken record. You don't go anywhere with that.
And then there are the expectations I had, which of course isn't the concern of the author. But with the blurb, I had hoped for a little more confrontation between the packs. I didn't even get why she was with the SweetNothings at all. We don't get any backflash or so, to understand how they are close at all. Sure, it is intended, because it makes sense in the end. But it sounded, that she was super close with them, and she loved them, but it is hard to understand why.
And then there is the ending/epilogue. If you know my other reviews, you know a good ending/epilogue is important for me. And yes, it isn't bad. But I hate those time jumps, when nothing is really shown. Like at the ending.
So, that can sour a lot for me. Which makes it difficult. The idea of the story is great, but the execution is lacking in some way. Which destroys the mood for me in the end. I'm a very intuitive reader, and emotions are important to me. The emotions are there. That's for sure, but I still give it 3.5 to 4 stars. Because it isn't what I hoped for.
As a Valentine's Day treat Flora Quincy has brought us a new installment in the world of Omegaverse with Fake It Till You Mate It. A contemporary omegaverse with lots of emotions and all the spice. If you're looking for a good mix of everything this story has it all. 💝 Light Daddy Vibes 💝 2 Omegas 💝 Short King Energy 💝 MMMFMM 💝 Some D/s 💝 Groveling 💝 Knots 💝 Beta with Alpha tendencies Toni is trying to divorce her old pack so that she can marry her current "perfect on paper" pack. She's been estranged from her old pack for a decade and is ready to move on. Unfortunately the judge doesn't agree and forces Toni to live with her old pack and their new Omega for the next 60 days. As the days go by Toni and the Ivy Place pack start to question what really drove them apart and what could bring them together. ❤️🔥 I had fun with Toni and her men. Although you know I go for the Daddies and Doms so Ivo and Rafe were my faves. The grumpy commanding types are always the best. Ivo and his mouth can GET IT. Dirty reading and tea time? Yes please. This story had a lot of ups and downs and it was a bit of a roller coaster. Pretty much everyone needs to apologize and grovel at some point and most of them needed the 10 years apart to grow up. I had plenty of frustration with the lack of communication in the pack but they always seemed to get on the same page eventually. And that usually led to some serious spicy times. Overall I had fun and I think if you're looking for a large Why Choose and lots of emotion then you should give this one a try! Thanks to @__floraquincyauthor for the ARC opportunity. 🖤
Honestly the book was good. If you don’t like angst don’t read this it’s like 85% angst my eyes hurt. It took me three days to get through, not because it was bad, but because it hurt my feelings.
My problem with this book and the reason why I gave this 3* instead of 5 is because I honestly couldn’t believe that they loved her as equally as they loved their claimed omega. The way they talked about Toni gave me husbands on reddit talking about their wives, versus talking about their male omega was reddit husbands describing their affair partner. The way they said things and reacted to things with the male omega was very firm on their devotion and all out love for him and that was great I was here for that but talking about Toni was more like an object they couldn’t throw out because of the sentimental value it held. Honestly the only one I felt was still very much in love with Toni was Rafe and he was my least favourite lmao. Jules just felt like he wanted his cake and to eat it too and It only solidified it when he was balls deep in the omega and talking about how no one felt better than him. Guys POVs made me feel like he was being led by his half claim. It always felt like everything was about the male omega and Toni was an afterthought, the story was great and brought out a lot of emotional reactions from me as a reader but honestly I think it would’ve been better had the book ended with her staying friends with them and looking forward to finding her own pack. I usually love omega verse with both female and male omegas in the packs but this fell flat for me because of the inequality between the two.
lovely read - I got so dishearten by another review so want to make it right!
This is such a beautiful read - some grammatical errors, but over all it is a typical romance, with a little bit of angst, real life drama (not over the top not believable) and ticks a lot of the omegaverse boxes.
I found I struggled to enjoy this book at times because a review that was left here said that it felt that tony was not treated well, and that it read that she was just a token from the past, so I was looking out for that unfairness instead of enjoying what was happening- and honestly, although that reviewers opinion is fine, I felt that this is so far from the truth - it is so clear that all of the pack love both omegas, differently but fiercely. The characters developed really nicely, and in a really organic way. The break up of the Ivy pack was somewhat trivial, but aren’t a lot of breakups about trivial things? (Trivial looking back maybe) HEA, sweet romance, VERY smutty
Overall a lovely read - I’d recommend as a palate cleanser if you’re a bit of a dark romance reader like me 4/5 recommended
Fake It Till You Make It by Flora Quincy is the first in the A Package Deal Series. This is a sweet, spicy omegaverse. We meet Toni, who is arriving back in London after being gone for ten years. Her mother is sick and there are some personal things she needs to take of. Due to circumstances she had no idea about, she ends up in court, and having to live with her old pack for a couple months. I loved watching Toni reconnect with her old pack. I loved learning how much everyone had grown over the ten years. Every pack member was just what Toni needed in all different ways. Loved it. I wanted to yell at the pack at times, but thats what makes a good story. Looking forward to more in this world.
The storyline is not bad, if not very flushed out. The two omegas in a pack is a bit odd, but ok.
The sheer amount of typos (especially from 60% onwards) is distracting and takes away. A shame, really, as it detracts from an interesting (at least initially) storyline.
The reason for her leaving (Rafe lied about taking her to Rome as a courting gift, but having plane tickets as a secret surprise was odd), subsequent making up, and finally admitting it 10 years later …ugh. She didn’t take another knot for the last 10 years, but the guys took and claimed another omega and included a beta … ugh.
2 stars, because it is clearly not edited and a bit reaching. Definitely not one of the best in the omegaverse.
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Ten years after leaving the pack she loved, Toni never expected to be returning under these circumstances. Court mandated to spend sixty days with the Alphas and Beta who had broken her heart, she doesn’t know how she’ll survive. Adding to that, Toni is left blindsided when she discovers her new boss is their Omega.
With tensions, and passions rising, will Toni find a way to move on from her past? Or will the time spent together show her that she could have a second chance with not only Rafe, Guy, Julian, and Ivo, but also their handsomely addictive Omega, Ciaran?
I received an ARC in exchange of and honest review. I liked this one but it was different then I expected. There is a lot of hesitation amongst the pack due to everyone’s history. For me it made it harder to connect with the characters and their relationships for a bit. However, things did click and for those that like the spice it is there. It’s just over halfway before you get a really good taste. Once everyone’s walls started coming down I really enjoyed the dynamics. I ended up really enjoying the story.
So. Stinking. Cute. Second chance Omegaverse sweetness overload. Our h was previously in a pack with our 3 Alphas. But they were all young and dumb and made mistakes. Because our h wasn’t Claimed yet, it drove her away. Ten years later, ready to sign on with a new pack, she finds out she’s still married to the previous pack. A divorce judge forces her to move in with them… and their new beta… and their new omega. Shenanigans ensue. 💜
These 2.5 stars are because I'm done with the woman never taking a knot barely moving on but the guys have been bagging anything that moved have a new omega.
I really felt sad for Toni. Expect more ladies. Don't let this shit fly.
I wanna start by saying that I have RARELY finished a 500 page book in 48 hours. I loved this book so much. The emotional connection to all the characters was amazing and really well done.It felt relatable. I was hooked on Toni's journey with herself and with the Ivy Place pack. I have read a lot of omegaverse and each one is unique to the author that writes it, But I will say Flora Quincy takes the cake with her omegaverse! I am obsessed! I am excited that this is the first in a new series!Even though I already received this as an arc, I will be purchasing a physical copy! If you are someone who loves reading omegaverse and why choose romance definitely give this a chance!
I enjoyed this book! I was sold from the start - forbidden (ex-pack), second chance, so much tension, forced proximity, omegaverse!
What I liked: The men! They each brought their own flare to the story - best friend Julian, Dom Rafe, awkward Guy, daddy Ivo, and meddling Ciaran. I enjoyed watching all of the interactions they had with each other and with Toni as they tried to resist falling for her all over again. Also the spice! Once it got going, it really ramped up! She enjoyed time the men, the men enjoyed time with each other, they ended up sharing heats all together - all which had me panting. They grew into an awesome pack dynamic and I love that they used that and their time/space/wealth to help other people.
What I didn't like: I had a hard time connecting to Toni. It was hard to understand her motivations for much of anything that she did, particularly leaving the Ivy Place pack and joining the Sweet Nothings. She felt a little shallowly designed. Much of the book was a lot of thinking and talking and very little action. Plus, as others have stated, the book could use another round of edits.
But overall it was a fun read and I feel like with a little bit of polishing, this book could really shine.
Notable quotes: "Damn. Looks like I'm in trouble with daddy." "I undid this alpha and that was the greatest power anyone could have."
I don't review books very often, it's just the laziness and readers high bliss in me. So bear with me, because I feel like I should give you a fair warning before you jump into the rabbit hole romance of Toni and her pack.
My overall rating is 3/5 stars. It wasn't terrible, not at all. But it could've been better. For those who want to avoid the spoilers below: Do not go into this book expecting a calm and fuzzy omega verse romance. The ENTIRE book is consistent pack and character development. Tension fizzes and emotions are at an all time high between Toni and the Ivy pack. The dashes of humor were a refreshing splash from the constant turmoil Toni was experiencing. If you're looking for a quick read that covers the 'what ifs' and emotions of an omega who isn't traditional by any standard, here's your read!
Spoilers Ahead:
The Plot: Despite what I expected, the plot of this book was very... spotty. For example, the lack of purpose in Toni even really being with the SweetNothings.
The Characters: The whole book is, from start to end, character development. Please do not read or go into this book looking for a cozy and sweet omega verse where no drama occurs. It's literally the basis of the book (just had to put that out there for the reviews that didn't like the drama). But I will say, that the drama in the book was completely unnecessary. Toni, at every corner and turn is fighting her instincts all while avoiding ACTUAL communication between her pack. One of the major character icks for me would probably be her consistent insistence for basically 60% of the book Omg and don't even get me started on Ciarán's HYPOCRITE nature in wanting Toni to join the pack. For the WHOLE book, since meeting her till the very end (85% maybe) he says HIMSELF that and honestly? at that point in the book I REALLY was contemplating DNFing and I never ever DNF books. Ciarán was literally her BIGGEST cheerleader for giving into her emotions and joining the pack again just for him to come out of the blue and say Literally doing, what I felt like, what he said he wouldn't do. BELITTLING her to her designation as an omega with an enticing smell just to make his alphas happy?.... my poor heart.
Honestly, outside of those personal icks and plot holes in the books confrontations with the real issue at hand, cough cough COMMUNICATION, it was a decent read nonetheless. It kept me on my toes because I NEVER knew how anyone would react, hence the book being outside of traditional pack norms. I finished it in a couple hours, if you read it on kindle it's about 480 pages and the chapters are decently packed. It wasn't an emotional read where I got attached to the whole pack.. well maybe just Julian, but it's definitely an experiment outside your regular omega verse fluff for sure.
Let’s start with what I liked and loved about this book. I have never read a 2nd chance book in general let alone an OMEGAVERSE 2nd chance. With this, I liked the beginning of the book when a few packs were introduced and I wondered which pack she would end up with. I honestly even with the background knowledge was surprised with the progression of this book with Toni and who her pack would be.
I do wish that we got a little more time or at least a flashback between Toni and her relationship with the rockstar pack from America. I feel like there was something there that maybe we missed I just feel like there was something missing to have more closure with them even after we see them randomly show up and act a bit alpha hole if ya know what I mean. Though, I really liked that we got to see the subtle ways that each of Toni’s past and you know future packs changed in those years she was gone and I absolutely loved the addition of Ivo; I feel like he made me feel a bit more secure with Toni re-joining this pack because he was only romantically with her though he had a love for the rest of the pack.
Now the troupes in this book include but, are not limited to…
Light Daddy Vibes, 2 Omegas, Short King Energy, MMMFMM, Some D/s, Groveling, Knots, Beta with Alpha tendencies, and much more.
Now, a bit more on the parts I am conflicted on. This book I still have some hesitancy with this just due to the depth and dynamic in the 2nd chance part of this book. I do not know why but, I felt like Ciarán and Toni’s relationship was pushed and very surface but, that could be my need for a TON of reassurance. As well as when it comes to two omegas I like them to create a relationship before the rest of the pack.
Overall, I really liked this book as a whole as it had troupes and a plot that I have never read in the omegaverse world before. Definitely check this book out and I cannot wait to see what else Flora Quincy writes in this new contemporary omegaverse world compared to her more regency omegaverse.
DNF'ed at 66% for a couple reasons: the first is of course the poor editing that everyone else has mentioned. But on to the actual plot:
I KNOW this is a big universe and I know that we are being set up for additional books with the side characters, but the number of names to keep track of in this book starts to get absolutely nuts, and I started to lose the thread of how everyone was connected. Quite frankly, you could remove the entire drama with Rafe's family besides an initial mention, and the book wouldn't suffer in the least.
There's another review that says something along the lines of "someone is always feeling like the other party throughout the entire book" and I can verify that's true at least until the point I stopped reading. Everyone is always being sorta sneaky about who they're hanging out with, and supposedly everyone is cool with it but then there's a lot of jealousy. And I guess that's all relationship dynamics but man was it weird to start this whole arrangement out with sex being explicitly on the table but then everyone is super awkward about it. (BTW at 66% still no sex has been had with the FMC, but we did see a steamy mmm scene.)
I don't know. I read omegaverses for some fluff and a small scoop of drama, and this is just pages and pages of divorce drama and then the FMC just perpetually waffling and honestly being really unfair to all the men she's interacting with. The MMCs are a split batch for me...I really liked a few, I found a couple of the others super annoying.
I think it's worth a read if you're really into omegaverses and just looking for something a little different. And hopefully after it's been re-edited!
I received this book an an e-arc and all thoughts are my own. I do appreciate Flora Quincy giving me to opportunity to read her book early. I’m posting this review a week or so after it was released because it’s less that 4 stars.
This book wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t necessarily doing it for me. This book might be for you so I would recommend giving it a try if the synopsis sounds like something you’d enjoy reading.
I really tried to enjoy this book but it felt too long and there was too much drama for me to really get into it. Listen, I love drama and I love angst but in moderation and not throughout a whole book.
The FMC Toni was an omega. She was strong and Independent which I can definitely appreciate in a fictional character but she gave me soooo much whiplash with her feelings it was making me dizzy lol This book definitely had too many POV’s for me but I still liked getting to know the characters, seeing who they were and getting to see their feelings for Toni as well.
I love a found family dynamic and this book definitely had that with this pack. They love each other unconditionally and have such a tight bond that they all don’t have to have romantic relationships with each other which is nice to see. There can be platonic relationships yet still have so much love between them.
As I said before, I didn’t hate this book at all, it just wasn’t something that was for me which isn’t a bad thing. I love finding new authors and reading their stories because I know how hard they have worked to create something like this and share it with the world. I respect that so much because I sure as heck could not do that at all. I have no artistic bone in my body lol
At first I didn't want to read this book, the reason was: it's hard af to write a good Omegaverse book where there are two omegas on the pack, usually because either one of the omega acts as a alpha/beta or because one of them it's not the priority, but I tried to give it a chance.
And in the beginning we start kinda hating? The FMC, because she surely doesn't know what she wants, but please? Most of the time the alphas threat her like second choice, not like someone they're trying to have a relationship with but rather someone they're cheating their husby with.
Like at some point (50% maybe? One of them even say this in their pov, about how yeah they miss her, they love her, they want to be with her but she will never be a priority like the other omega) I mean did the writer thought this would be romantic or something? Idk
The only thing I saw the whole book was: the beta and the omega were okay, the alphas sucked, it was a chapter acting as if she was a priority and the other saying it out loud that she wasn't and probably never would be.
I'll be honest if it was like a hater to lover troupe I'd totally understand but they're trying to make us want them to be with FMC by making them act like teenagers? I mean, if it was a "they're 18-22" kind of thing I'd probably accept too but grown man to act like this is just.. bad, really bad.
I do like their personalities and that's it, the romance is non existent, I mean it is there, but like I said: not in a way you would normally see in a poly relationship, rather in a "I will fvck you and pretend to be in love with you but I'm not" or maybe "I think I'm still in love with you but in the end I don't, I just care about you"
"Fake It Till You Mate It" by Flora Quincy is a delightful read.
Plot - 4 Stars Spice - 3.5 Chilis
The book centers around the complications of untangling oneself from an old pack before starting anew. Toni, is preparing to marry her new pack the SweetNothings, a pack of internationally famous rockstars.
The journey Toni embarks upon is one filled with unexpected twists, adding layers of complexity to the decisions that she must make. Forced to move in with her ex-pack while waiting for the divorce papers, we witness Toni as she navigates life with her former alphas and their new omega Ciaran while waiting for the approval of her divorce.
As the story unfolds, Toni's journey of self-discovery becomes a central theme. Flora skillfully portrays the internal conflicts and questions the character faces, which gave me pause to think about my own desires, dreams, and what truly matters in life. The evolution of Toni's character and her relationships with her old pack is handled with care and authenticity.
The reason for the four-star rating, rather than a perfect five, is that there were moments where Toni just pissed me off, and some aspects of the plot felt a bit predictable. However, these minor quibbles do not detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the story.
"Fake It Till You Mate It" is a delightful read that was a fresh take the omegaverse. Flora Quincy's storytelling and character development make for an enjoyable reading experience, and the book's themes of self-discovery and the importance of embracing what one truly needs give it a unique and memorable quality. For fans of the genre, this is a book well worth diving into.
