Hi. I'm Joan Eliabeth Lloyd. Let me tell you a bit about myself.
Pesonal stuff: I was born in 1941 - yes, as of this writing I'm 77. I have a wonderful partner of thirty years named Ed (no, we're not married - for tax reasons) two wonderful daughters, a talented son-in-law and three grandchildren, Sarah and Adam, both out of college and gain-fully employed and Luke, aged 15.
Professional stuff: I wrote my first book, Nice Couples Do, in 1990, because I wanted to share my ideas about sexual communication and sexual freedom. I've written many books (novels and non-fiction) since but stopped writing several years ago.
As you may have gathered, I'm a devoted couch potato. I'm an omnivorous reader, both in my eyes and in my ears.
My present interest is in Battered women. I donate earrings, about 900 pair a month, to shelters all over the country, with the help of attendees at my many workshops. Phew!!!!
This is the first book I read from this author. Just something I came across and the cover grabbed my attention. This was just one of those books that I can't figure out where it went wrong, but it just didn't grab my attention as much as I hoped. It was good, just not great. There was so many characters introduced right as the book got going and I had to flip back and re-read some parts just to refresh my mind on who's kids belonged to who. After it got going it stuck with me, but at first it was so much information it overwhelmed the story a bit. The sex scenes were hot and I thought this was a good read
I checked this book out of the library's e-book collection because it was under erotic stories. I'd say this is definitely along the lines of romance, even though it does star a woman who is a prostitute. That is the only thing I can think of that put this into erotic. The rest reads like a romance novel, but I really enjoyed it. All the secondary characters and the side stories kept me totally enthralled to see what would happen! It's cute!
This is the story come true almost a Pretty Woman type of story. The escort goes on vacation and tries to dress down her looks and her body but the hot police officer has been assigned to follow her to get her client list. Of course they end up falling in love. It is the first book that I have read that gave insight to phone sex. Hot too....
This was a bedside table book, and as I was away from home a fair amount this past month, this wasn't read as quickly as it might have been otherwise. I've read a number of books by this author, and enjoyed them. Many link with the Club Fantasy theme, and this is no exception. Also the characters are not all young sex kittens with perfectly sculpted bodies. Yes, the main character here is extremely attractive, but she's not a spring chicken either. It's refreshing to read about characters who are very human and not overly idealized. Here there's a bit of burn-out and a summer holiday where one of the employees is trying to remain incognito - somewhat spoiled from the outset by an undercover cop sent to try to get her to reveal a client list. The premise is a bit iffy, but the story reads well. I ended up staying up far too late reading this the night before leaving on holiday as I wanted to finish it before going.
