From a village of twenty huts in the hills of Natal, South Africa, emerged a Zulu with a passion of God - William Duma. 'Take Your Glory Lord' tells the story of this amazing man. Duma entered Baptist seminary and later encountered God in such an intense way that it changed him forever. His ministry was filled with the miraculous power of God. He saw many people healed, delivered and even raised from the dead. Duma was a humble man whose concern was always that God would have the glory for all these events, hence his well-used catch phrase - the title of this book.

I first heard of the amazing prayer life and healing ministry of William Duma by way of Leonard Ravenhill. Take Your Glory Lord is a tremendous jewel for those who want a deeper walk with God. This little South African man, Duma, was certainly someone who "lived in agreement with the Holy Spirit" as the subtitle intimates. Because of his tremendous prayer life, deep humility, and obedience to God, his ministry was supernatural. He healed many, many people, raised some from the dead, and was led by God in all things. There is something to be learned from a life fully commited to God.

Both times I read this book it put me on my face before God in awe, thanksgiving, repentance, and supplication. Challenging.

It puts me in mind of Matthew 16:24-27, "Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wants to come with Me, he must deny himself, take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life because of Me will find it. What will it benefit a man if he gains the whole world yet loses his life? Or what will a man give in exchange for his life? For the Son of Man is going to come with His angels in the glory of His Father, and then He will reward each according to what he has done."

This book I love the most after the Bible and is one of the top ten books that has influenced my live the most. I believe that probably once in 500 years a person is born who lives as close to God as Rev William Duma. No doubt he was a spiritual giant.
The divine healing concept he embodied, is the one that very, very few Christian practice but thoroughly Biblical. A must read for every missionary and pastor and Christian leader.

I've read this book numerous times and loaned it until it was worn. When checking to buy a replacement it was out of print and used books are going for an exorbitant price.
