High rating for bisexual protagonists with a happy romantic plot line. This book was a delight to read, between the character dynamics and the adorable exploration of Pyke's house. I loved every minute.

Classic Chris Owen -- loveable and self-aware characters, a minimum of angst and drama, and giggles startled out of me in unexpected places. I loved that the house itself was a significant character in the book, and I enjoyed "exploring" the place almost as much as the characters. The sex wasn't quite as steamy as I'd been hoping for (I need an e-reader that lets me put multiple ratings on my books so I can rate story and heat level separately, depending on my mood) but it wasn't disappointing e ...more

The lack of any urgency on the part of the trio (two bisexual men and their female best friend) holds back this novella from being great. Other than the central house motif, which has a tendency to overshadow the humans whenever it comes into play, it lacks a cohesive emotional or plot arc and often feels like nothing much is going on. This was a 3.5 for me. It is a cute short story m/m/f. However, the absolute incredulous ness of the story line is what left me wanting more. It was too unreal to be real.
I loved the house, though!

I live and write in eastern Canada. I went to a bunch of schools, learned a lot of things, and now make stuff up because not to do so is unthinkable. I'm fond of fountain pens, Levenger's Circa system, and Steampunk fashions.
I'm inspired by the day to day minutia of life, and find beauty in the way words go together. I like texture and richness of experience. I'm not shy. I'm happy, I'm learning,
