This book is worthy of 2 stars due to the fact that it's audience is those parents who do not know how to cook. If you like canned, condensed soups and bisquick -- fat free dairy products -- and sugar subsitutes -- this book is most definately for you.
On a positive note, this book does a nice job on calorie count, fat, sodium, etc. as well as meat, veggie, dairy, portions. There are a few tips in this book that will help the "mother in a hurry" who doesn't enjoy cooking. Or, better yet, for the teenager who is learning how to cook - good resource to start.
I found two recipes that were worthy of a second look - substitutions, of course (butter, sugar - LOL) - like nature intended -- but using a LOT LESSS sodium than the recipe suggests ;)
