It's been years since I've read this book but I pulled it off my shelf to read to a class of students, then my 5-year-old nephew wanted to read it, so within the last week I've read it at least 6 times. This was one of my favorite books as a kid and I still love the rhythm of the rhyming pattern. The pictures are fun, the story is about moving and being scared of new places, and people helping others out. It's a great book and I'd read it a dozen more times.
While it is an older book, my nephew loves reading this book. It does help that he is very interested in animals, but I think that most kids would enjoy this books. I even enjoyed it. It is about a zoo that is under construction and trying to figure out where all the animals will stay during the renovation.
I really like this book! I like the pictures and the story. The animals at the zoo has no where to go. The zoo is being rebuild so an old lady offered their apartment. The story was fun to read especially with rhymes. I believe this book is good to teach us sharing. Since the old lady gave up her apartment, after the zoo was finished they offered the elders a place to stay. Grades 1-3.
