All that can be said of this book is it is ok. There are step by step pictures, which is great, but the projects look like they were taken from another book published in the 80's or early 90's. They are dated.

I have seen better sewing manuals, but they have step by step with no actual projects to try your hand at the technique. I had hoped that this would pair the techniques with specific projects. It didn't. Oh well. Back to the drawing board.

This is a really great instructional book. Great pictures and step-by-step procedures, however, the projects shown in the book are not really "of the moment" or the most stylish, but a great starting point.

Clear and concise, fairly easy to use...but the photos are so ugly! The fabrics are really terrible. A floral ringer T? Seriously? But still...very good for learning the basics.

I am new at sewing, and this short guide helped to give me the basics.This gave me an overview of sewing. I would caution that you would need a larger book to learn to sew.
