read this while lying in bed sick.. this was most fitting here, haha! i must say i enjoyed the book a lot. it's a very brave position airola takes here and i admire that. he must have the whole pharmaceutical industry against him, haha. well done for writing this book, which goes against most believed health advices and speaks about the true reason, the reason that most people don't want to hear. because it is just so easy to pop a pill and be done with it. airola shows the sickness of todays world and it truly is frightening. i don't know of all of his info is correct, but i had myself constantly nodding my head at what he says. very interesting book and by no means too old. most of what he says has not changed in the 40 years since this book came out.. and that is a shame.
One of my first books on health and nutrition as a young teenager, by famed naturopath, Paavo Airola. I probably bought it at Follow Your Heart, my local health food store. This and How to Get Well were very influential. https://www.logicalpoetry.com/airola/...
I bought this at the strand for 1 dollar, and I would say it is worth about that. The 1971 book about eating healthy included some surprisingly 'modern trendy' info - macrobiotics, raw food, etc... Came across as way too of a 'miracle diet' thing and, while foreseeable, was way outdated.
