Some interesting ideas about how to use knitting to help people. Projects weren't so great or interesting.

A good project book with a sharing slant.
The projects are O.K. and they have charts and step by step how to make them. There is a comprehensive index.

Pretty good. The projects are designed as gifts or as charity projects, and there's a good range of styles and difficulty levels. It includes profiles of several knitting charities and a list of others in the back. It's beautifully photographed, but watch out for errors. I noticed one flaw in the pattern for the Elijah lacy baby shawl. The written instructions say to cast on 90 stitches and follow the chart, decreasing until there are 5 stitches left. The chart, however, is designed to start with 5 stitches and increase to 90 stitches. It's an easy correction for most of us - and a relief to cast on 5 instead of 90 - but it might confuse newer knitters. I have not yet found a list of corrections for the book, and I don't know if there are other mistakes, but read through the pattern carefully before beginning a project. (A good practice in general, not just for this book!)

Some interesting patterns in here. I like the whole "angel of this-or-that" theme that runs through it. I will definitely get this from the library again, though I don't think I like it enough to buy it.

This book also had some nice patterns that wouldn't take long or require a lot of yarn.

Very interesting with clear concise easy to follow instructions, very pleased I bought it and already going to do three of the projects.
