J’étains impatiente de pouvoir me plonger dedans.

I just read this volume at random. Standard shonen. Rather fast paced. Art is kind of sloppy. I think 7 deadly sins was better.

This volume centers around a mysterious enchanted village.

SPOILERS

With the help of a hunter, Anne and Nasiens attempt to rescue Donny and Percy from the enchantment, apparently some kind of dark fairy magic. This suspense is built up for a while.

However, it turns out the villagers, although demons, are in fact good guys, and the hunter turns out to be one of Arthur’s knights who wants to kill the demons and Percy after he is revealed as a knight of the apocalypse.

So this hunter becomes the main antagonist for the rest of the volume. He believes all demons are irredeemable. However Percy has befriended one of the demons and believes that people/demons should be judged as individuals. This is probably a theme for the book/series.

(There is also a mystery about Percy’s demonic? parentage and his ability to speak the demon tongue.)

Sin helps Percy learn a new technique which he uses to defeat the hunter’s familiar. Pretty perfunctory. The hunter then runs off to a cave where he traps the heroes by turning them into babies.

They are rescued by Gowther, who has disguised herself as the village elder (a deus ex machina/“twist”)

The hunter isn’t such a bad guy and can’t bring himself to harm the babies. Anne reminds him of his own daughter and he sacrifices his life to protect her (A classic heroic death but too abrupt to have much impact), when they are attacked by 5 powerful Arthurian knights. Gowther is able to kill one of them.

The heroes flee into an entangled wood, pursued by the remaining knights.

Anne is overcome with sadness, but sin antagonizes her (intentionally) and her resulting anger gives her the resolve to continue.

Sin seems aloof, but Anne’s words did hurt his feelings. He is encouraged when Percy calls him a friend.

I must say I find this manga to be very addictive. It was good to continue to explore more of the country with these characters. Poor Sin, it mustn't be easy to try to look after them, especially Percival. Trouble seems to follow him no matter what. But as always, it is a funny installment, the relationship between the group is amazing and it was good to see one of The Seven Deadly Sins, Gowther, the sin of Lust.
