This book is related to The Sweetest Tattoo but can be read as a stand alone title.

Greyson Cole needs to get out of Raleigh. Everywhere he turns, he sees people falling in love, getting married, and starting families. It’s enough to make a grown man want to rip out his own hair. And for a cynic like Grey, one more employee getting engaged signals the need for a long

Well, fuck me sideways (to stay on topic).

I suppose I could go all Calimero and whine that I maybe should take a break from reading m/m, because I obviously haven’t had much luck with my picks lately (to the delight of some friends. YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE...and my revenge will be so sweet and served on a plate filled with beefy leather daddies).

And as is the case with plenty other books I didn’t enjoy, Grey’s Awakening, too, has gotten mostly raving 5 star reviews from friends. I’m just so

Grey and Sirus seem to be afflicted with a terrible disease.

The Cockus Alwayserectus.
That nasty bugger, it has its hold on these boys and it just won't relent! Their poor dicks are probably rubbed raw and are all oozy and stuff. You gotta feel for them, ya know?

Okay, whether or not you will love or hate this book boils down to the simple question of "How do you like your erotica to be written?" Do you crave quivering channels, hungry chutes, aching passages, and balls that are weighted by

This book is about two hot alpha males Sirus and Grey.

Sirus and Grey accidentally find themselves in a situation where they have to share a cabin.

They start to fall for each other.

There are some really sweet, tender moments.

A little angst. Some realization. Romance. Love.

And…The End.

Fun, fun read…oh and HOT as all get out. And I wouldn’t mind

This was one smoking little book...YEEHAW!

I adored Grey and Sirus (lord their names are even smoking) both were damaged, but likable characters. The sex was OFF THE CHARTS. I do wish there had been a tad bit more angst in this one, but overall a really good read.

My one and only complaint about this book is that I would have preferred less drawn out coma inducing sex scenes. Don't get me wrong. Some of the scenes were beautiful and hot, but it gets to a point where it's overdone. Other than that, I loved Sirus and Grey's story.

I'm not a fan of push and pull, but this story had the right amount to keep it interesting and emotional. I would have liked the story to included a little bit more of Sirus' mother accepting Sirus' sexuality, and Grey as his

What a ludicrous book! Ludicrous and hot! The closest thing to actual porn on the page I've read for a while, with a short HEA epilogue thrown in there to prove it's a real romance. I think there's a felching scene off-page, so a star for that!

Here's just three of my favourite lines:

...sending his rectum into a screeching series of contractions.

Grey's cock raged in his jeans.

The splash of semen hitting the floor sounded like a pressure-washer hitting siding

Passion galore with some very intense beautiful moments between Grey and Sirus, a shivers down your spine erotic romance both raw and tender. I couldn't help it, I had a soft spot for Grey he needed a bit of rough and he sure got it with Sirus, they both did actually and desperately. Loved this story so much, the slow sensual build and the emotional ups and downs a great mix of love and lust with a gorgeous couple of MC's. I wish we could have had a bit more at the end!

Wow, where to start. This book was frickin amazing. From start to finish I was enthralled by this book and stayed there until the end. When you hear a book is hot, you might not believe it. But trust me this book was HOT! And I'm not even blushing about it. I was a tiny bit skeptical in the beginning, but God, I enjoyed reading this.

Grey and Sirus met in such a funny way. I was laughing my ass of at the beginning and I was frustrated by the end of the first chapter. Looking for sexual tension in
Just finished a re-read of this one after a year. Man, what a great romance! Cameron Dane is the Queen! Greyson and Sirus are smokin' hot boys and I actually liked this book better the second time around! Angst, romance, wicked hot sex... It's all there. I'm a happy camper.

Super duper, fuck yeah, highly recommended!

I'm a sucker for alpha males and cabins. I like the idea of being forced to confront your demons despite yourself. This was very much a relationship-driven novel, so not a lot happens; the conflict here is mostly internal (Can Grey loosen up and learn to love? Can Sirus forget his ex? Can both men learn to trust?). The dialogue was spot on, and the ending just about perfect (I love me some HEAs!). In a nutshell: Smart AND steamy and totally feel good with some mild angst and miscommunication ...more

This was everything I was promised. A hot, sexy, angsty, romance with two men who have just enough baggage/issues to keep them from realizing they really do want that emotional connection that they keep fighting. It was just the weekend read I wanted and I'm looking forward to getting to Noah's story.

Thanks again Gigi for the rec!

There's nothing new or earth-shattering going on here but I don't care because it's HOT!

The sex and some of the language/wording is repetitive but I still don't care. It's HOT!

There's no way anyone could go at it as much as these two guys do but again I still don't care. It's HOT!

And now it's on my go-to-happy shelf :)

Yes, you guessed it because it's HOT!!!!!!
Overall, an entertaining read. (And a stand alone, in case you're wondering if you need to read the series in order.)

The characters were great, their flaws and miscommunications believable - I especially loved Sirus. There was a definite case of insta-lust, but despite that, they made sense together, and their chemistry was palpable.

The sex was pretty hot (and frequent), though I admit it had me giggling like an immature teen at times, as the author must have found some kind of sex euphemisms
Read this one purely for the oodles of sex liberally splattered within. So highly recommended if you are into one handed reading.

I wasn't all that invested in the emotional aspect or anything else to be honest... Hot guys a cabin and a lake? Yeah that's all you need. Enjoy!

Warning: My review has as much depth as the book does (i.e. none)

After my dear friend wrote a wonderfully brutal review and stole my quotes (yeah girl, still blaming you), I don't really even know what to say. Not the quote part, mind you. There's plenty of hilarious lines from this book to go around (90% of this book fits the bill), but there actually isn't anything to say.

Oh, except...

Note: I just summed this book up.

Ah wait, but this book wouldn't be the same without the
This was a very intense and damn hot read. I loved Sirus but I also kind of understood Grey's insecurities. Even though they came from totally different worlds, it was immediately clear they were meant for each other.
Like the previous book in the series, The Sweetest Tattoo, the sex scenes were off the charts hot but, in my opinion, the author does better in m/m. That quite long and highly gratifying scene where Grey learns how to enjoy bottoming was my favourite.
The ending was somewhat abrupt

This was such a simple, but intense romantic story. In the beginning I was not to sure I liked Grey, he just seemed uptight and stuffy, but watching him change and show his real self because of Sirus was great. These two together broke down the walls that each of them had put up and created something that neither wanted or expected. Overall, I think this was a wonderfully written story that had two hot men which I loved from beginning to end.

Ah-fucking-mazing. Emphasis on fucking, there’s A LOT of it in this book. But don’t worry, it is ridiculously hot.

My Kindle overheated and I can’t get it to turn back on.

Grey’s Awakening is Scorching.

I bow to Cameron Dane, master of the sexing. I did not get bored once, and too many sex scenes usually make my eyes glaze. Not possible here. I was too busy trying not to slide off my chair.

^^100% MALE!^^

I like Cameron because the men in the stories are always so manly and deep and bloody intense. I am gonna keep it short right now and try to sum this deeply emotional tale of two men, both with a past that have left them broken and unable to trust. For Greyson his childhood sucked and because he couldn't control what happened to him in childhood, he likes to control everything in his adult life. Sirus has been hurt by the man he loved because he refused to admit he was gay and went

Read this a while ago and having just read ' A Younger Man ' - the follow up book containing Noahs story - I felt it only fair to come back and review this one. Both are excellent reads in their own rights and do cross over into each other but I would have to say that of the two this one was probably more overt in its sexual attraction and tension. Boy, when Sirius and Grey get together its electric, and the sex is hot and heavy. Cameron Dane is one of those writers who really make you feel the ...more

This is a hot, emotional, straightforward story of two very different men finding what they need in each other. Grey and Sirus meet while accidentally sharing a cabin, and are initially determined to keep their heated sexual connection on a purely physical level. But gradually both want to figure out who the man they are having sex with really is under the surface. This book is about three quarters sex scenes, albeit very hot and well-done sex. However the men are well-developed characters, ...more

Loved this steamy romance story. Sirus is super sexy in so many ways. Grey was a little tougher until you learned the reasoning behind his behavior. Watching his walls break down as his trust in and eventual need for Sirus grew was thrilling. There were sparks flying when these two were together. Very enjoyable story.

When Grey Cole decides to get away to his cabin for a while he's looking forward to some alone time. What he gets when he walks in though is a nearly naked stranger in his living room.

Sirus Wilder's cabin is under repair and when his friend offers the use of her brother's cabin across the lake he takes her up on the offer. Neither man is expecting the surprise meeting so tensions run high between them.

Grey grudgingly allows Sirus to stay and as they spend together the men find themselves very

I've read a few reviews and it seems I am in the minority because I liked Grey better than Sirus.

Sirus is more open and apparently more sincere, but I really liked Grey's passionate reserve. When they are together, they literally sizzle. There are a lot of ups and downs, but it's something to be expected since the two have their reasons to avoid bringing the attraction they feel for each other to a deeper level. Sirus surrenders to himself sooner than Grey and what he fights is the fear of

Basically, this is not a review. It's been a while since I read this story, and there's no way I'd be able to write a proper one.
It's more like a shout-out.

My dear m/m-loving friends, don't you dare miss this! You must meet Grey & Sirus. You're (probably) gonna love Sirus from the very start, but you'll get to love Grey too. He's just... a bit insecure. Promise.
And I bet you'll end up enjoying their story. It's hot. Intense. Sensual. Raw. NSFW. It's all that it should be.

In a word, this book is melodramatic. No one eats...they 'devour their food with gusto'. The don't kiss...they 'ravage each other with clashing teeth & thrusting tongues'. Even getting out of a chair has been wordy-fied to death. All this before you get to the dramatic conversations & melodramatic sex. Having said that, this was the first m/m I ever read & I won't be changing my rating from 4 stars after reading it with a more jaundiced eye. I liked the characters. I liked the ...more

Both Grey and Sirus have baggage and need a lot of work, especially Grey.
It was a rough ride for them both and maybe a bit much at times, but i was so glad when they finally got their act together and realized what they felt for each other.

I loved this story.

I love the characterization, the intensity, the scenes between the main characters...just everything. I'm going to try and not repeat the common gushing of why this story is great. Seriously, for a fan of m/m romance, this story had it all. I totally recommend to other M/M romance lovers. The author wrote about two men, coming together learning their issues and helping each other dealing with them. Just...loved it. I definitely will be checking out more stories from this

Two men with shattered backgrounds of a different type come together to a middle ground and they open up to each other. Love and acceptance is what comes to an explosive conclusion between Grey and Sirus. Reading this story I got sucked up into the adventure and drama which was so powerful and passionate of how both men reach to that point.

Very captivating story, appealed to all my senses in every way, shape and form.
