I do think this is a good little reference guide, but I didn't love some of the statements about science and energy since this is directed at teens

Great starter book for young witches curious about crystals. Short and sweet. Cute illustrations. The main drawn back is the lack of images of said crystals. I would have also liked boy witches represented in the illustrations.

I didn’t love or even really like this book. I didn’t think that a teen or beginner adult would jump right into the magic and witchy part of crystals (I could be wrong).

I also didn’t like that it didn’t show pictures of the crystals it was talking about.

It is a beautiful little book and I would recommend the Astrology one on this series. I like that one better.

We just got this whole series in at my library, and I browsed this one before I set the series out for the teen patrons.

First of all, this book (the whole series, really) is adorable! The books are short. Less than 150 pages each. Also, there's not a ton of text per page. So they're really nothing more than the most basic overview. More for the Witch Curious than the Witch Practitioner. But they're written at a level that will appeal to the intended audience: Teen girls about 11-14. Which is exactly what we were going for when we ordered them. And I think they'll be popular.

However...A Public Service Announcement: Please, please, PLEASE DO NOT PUT YOUR SELINITE CRYSTAL IN WATER!!! (This book advocates "cleansing it in moon water"). If you do that, you'll damage your crystal. So think of it as a Gremlin. Just don't get it wet. Period! And simply cleanse it in plain ol' Moonlight instead.

p.s. I have no advice about feeding your selenite after midnight, however.
