Born into a storytelling family, all she'd ever wanted to do was write stories. After a career as an award-winning newspaper journalist, she wrote and sold 37 short stories before she finally wrote her first book, ODD MAN OUT. Since then she has won numerous awards including a career achievement award for romantic suspense.
She lives in Montana with her husband, Parker, two Springer Spaniels. When she isn't writing, she quilts, boats and. makes rope/fabric baskets. She always reads, loving to lose herself in a good book.

Her Brand Of Justice by BJ Daniels, book 5 of the Colt Brothers Investigation series.
Woo-wee! What an intense plot! In HER BRAND OF JUSTICE, Ansley Brookshire discovers she was adopted; therefore, searches for her birth mother. Man, oh, man, what a wild ride! It is a good thing she has Buck Crawford as she muddies through the lies, a murder, and the betrayal to find her real family. But wait! The conclusion of the story doesn’t end there. B.J. Daniels sure knows how to keep her readers baffled from beginning to end. I received this complimentary advanced copy from the author, and this is my honest review. (I don't have the copy that includes the bonus story.)

A 2-for-1 book with both stories by this author.
Her Brand of Justice
Another excellent story, this time about adoption. Both Ansley and Buck are engaging characters and the story line flow seamlessly. The suspense is there, although I will say that I figured it out fairly early on. Not saying more so I don't have to spoiler things.
Wedding at Cardwell Ranch
Again, excellent story. I don't want to say too much so as not to spoiler, but the suspense with the gaslighting is very well done.
Both excellent stories, good enough that I didn't even mind the "fade-to-black" lovemaking.
