I love to look at new cookbooks and this one caught my attention. It had it all, soups, casserole and my current favorite-slowcooker. However, I was a bit dissappointed by how many of the recipes called for canned soup, creams, sour cream, etc. I have a couple recipes picked out, but overall, realized that "Taste of Home" might be more into being quick than being low fat/healthy.
Yet another disappointing new cookbook from Taste of Home. I have enjoyed their magazine and books for years. This year, though, I've read at least two of their books that were thoroughly disappointing. I hope this is just a fluke and not a disturbing, permanent trend.
