I’ve read the first three books in the Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver Series. Until I’ve completed the entire series of five books, I'm only going to post star ratings for each book. After I’ve finished “Favorite Mistake,” the final book, I’ll post a full review covering the entire series.
This series must be read in order and follows the relationship between Tristan and Tessa that began when they were just twelve-year-old kids -- now in their mid-twenties.
"No Mistake", book 4 will be released on November 3, 2022 and "Favorite Mistake", book 5 will end the series with its release on November 17, 2022. (Available on Kindle Unlimited)

After talking through the surprise dropped at the end of Hidden Mistake, are Tristan and Tessa going to stay together? Then there is Savannah and others who are determined to undermine what they have. The truth is Tristan has a high-profile job, and Las Vegas is sin city. While Tessa still has secrets, and Tristan might have some as well.

This was by far my favorite installment so far! They finally had a much-needed talk and ugh Tristan’s response!! My heart was breaking for him but he had the most amazing reaction to the news. He just really showed us the type of guy he is and just how he’s up for anything as long as Tessa is back in his life. I’m kind of dying to see him when the baby comes.
These two had my heart melting the whole time, they are so good together. The chemistry is insane, the spice was hot, and also just so sweet to see them reconnect in that way as well.
I was right when it came to the drama on the horizon! So much happened in this installment that had me palpitating. I don’t know how Tessa does it. I wish she would have just come clean already. I have a feeling Tristan is not going to learn what happened from her, and that will be the worst. I knew Savannah wasn’t done yet, that b*tch never tires. Ugh and her potential allies, gosh it is scary to think of what they all can do next… I’m dreading it.
The way this one ended broke my heart. I’m so curious to see what happened in Tessa’s last chapter. I hope she’s okay and that situation will resolve itself soon, she doesn’t need that to be another problem too. Ugh. These two are about to be hit from all directions, poor babies. I hope they stay strong and manage to get rid of all these d*cks trying to ruin their lives and second chance.

Honest Mistake is book 3 and midway through Lisa Suzanne's latest football romance series- Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver...Tristan Higgins story. This book is NOT a standalone but part of his 5 book series which are releasing back to back with not much time between them. Please be sure to read them in order.
Emotions are running high, happiness seems to be overflowing and things are heating up deliciously between Tristan and Tessa. One of her 'cats' is finally out of the bag BUT The grandaddy of all secrets is still the biggest elephant in the room. Looks like the time for complete honesty is running out, so will Tess be the one to tell her own story or will someone else with an agenda of their own spill those beans instead?
Tristan and Tessa are riding the blissful wave that being together again brings them, but villians are popping up in unexpected places and stirring the pot like it's their only job in the world. My heart can't take many more cliffhangers here. I'm also growing more anxious about Tessa's reaction to being in the spotlight when she's with Tristan. Everything that happened in this book just heightened my anxiety about what's to come. And that ending.... *phew* my heart kinda sputtered.
After Tristan realizes that the secret Tessa shared at the end of book 2 is something he's not only okay with, but also something he wants too, they talk it through and things work in overdrive - with the benefit AND their relationship. Tristan FINALLY gets his divorce from Savannah, and Tristan has a few surprises up his sleeve for Tessa. However, Tessa's half-sister Stephanie is growing increasingly like Tristan's ex-wife Savannah, and I'm 100% getting Single White Female vibes off Stephanie. The benefit goes off without a hitch and brings in a lot of money - but Savannah HAS to wreak a little havoc, right?
As Tristan and Tessa begin to plan their future together, Ben "Party Animal Extraordinaire" Olson makes good on a promise to throw Tristan an epic divorce party. A scare keeps Tessa at home - and that's when the you-know-what hits the fan. Someone pretending to be Tessa posts something on social media that isn't exactly kosher, and Tessa gets a visitor who, well, knocks her off her feet.
But the last page, dang, punch in the gut. I know there will be an HEA. Tristan and Tessa are a great couple, and individually, they are complex characters - more complex than I initially gave, at least Tristan credit for. Their story is full of emotion, love, angst and drama. Just the way I like it.

Vegas Aces The Wide Receiver: Honest Mistake by Lisa Suzanne is the third book in this series. You will need to read Rookie Mistake and Hidden Mistake in order to follow the plot in Honest Mistake. This book ends on an epic cliffhanger, which means book four can’t get here fast enough!!
Tristan and Tessa are working through their relationship, getting back to where we all want them to be. Savannah appears to be on her way to becoming a non-issue, but she finds a way to get back in the mix and make everyone mad. Stephanie is still a bit of a mystery, and I don’t think she will be going away either. Not all secrets have been revealed yet, another reason that book four needs to get here fast!
I smiled through most of this book, just so happy that things seemed to be working out for the best. The foreshadowing is strong in Honest Mistake, which makes you want to keep reading and finish the book in one sitting (I did that!).
I loved how the cliffhanger was so unexpected and I can’t wait to see how it is resolved in book four. Lisa Suzanne’s characters are always so well developed. Her stories will always draw you in and make you feel like you know all the characters and can get completely immersed in their world. As with all of Lisa Suzanne’s books, Honest Mistake does not disappoint and leaves you waiting on the edge of your seat for the next play! I received an advance review copy of this book for the purpose of providing an honest review.

Honest Mistake has been the most emotional book in my eyes within the series, and I don't know what I'm going to do with myself while waiting on the next books LOL! You know, one the most brilliant things about LIsa Suzanne in my eyes is the fact that she hijacks me with her stories, and I always find myself ALL IN! Tristan & Tessa are really going through the fire in this chapter as they've gotten together but outside forces (like his piece of work ex-wife) don't want them together. And then there are still secrets waiting to come out & hopefully the fallout isn't devastating. It all leads to another brutal cliffhanger ending, and I'm rabid at this point to see how it's all going to play out! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Tessa has finally shared her secret with Tristan about why she returned to their hometown and his reaction just reinforces how deep his feelings for her are. Working together on the fundraiser for his charity brings them closer but her past is about to rock the future they are planning.
All Tristan wants is to be with Tessa and with his divorce finalized they are one step closer however they are about to realize that his ex isn’t about to let him go so easily.
The chemistry between them burns hot but it their deep emotional connection that makes it seem like they have never been apart.

Good read. I liked seeing Tessa and Tristan grow as a couple. He’s the kind of man every woman dreams of with the way he cares for her, loves her, and maintains his devotion. It’s still hard to believe she is still keeping so much from him, especially when it wasn’t her fault, but lying is which doesn’t seem fitting with the guy she’s loved her whole life. There was also some repetition, but it’s definitely a story that keeps adding more to the chaos. I’m ready for the next one!

I had such a hard time with this book and found myself skimming to the end. It seemed like a filler book in the series. Nothing big happens. Savannah is still up to her blackmailing shenanigans same as the other series. Stephanie is being super creepy. And the main heroine still hasn’t come clean about the teenage pregnancy to Tristan! Plenty of opportunities. Very frustrated with this story line.

The fun thing about Lisa Suzanne’s books is I trick myself into thinking that this time… THIS TIME LISA is just going to let everything be good and happy and not throw a wrench in how great things are. HA! Jokes on me yet again. Seriously though I can’t imagine what is coming in the next two books.

annoying
It’s becoming predictable and frustrating and I skipped a lot of pages. But I’ll read the last book just because I need to get over how annoyingly long it’s taking. This could have been made into a duet instead of being dragged a long.

Tristan has just gotten back from Vegas and believe's Tessa will finally give him a chance. Everything seems great until Tessa reveals why she's back home. Tristan decides to step up and be the man that Tessa needs. Tessa can't believe how great Tristan is taking the news and feels that everything between them could work. One day Tristan finally gets the information he's been hoping for, his divorce has gone through and he is now a single man. Tristan and Tessa begin to move forward, but their pasts haunt them. Stephanie- Tessa's half-sister- shows up and isn't happy that Tristan is spending time with Tessa. Next Savannah shows up and demands that Tristan leave Tessa and come back to Vegas with her. When the day of the festival both Tristan and Tessa have put together arrives everything seems great until Stephanie and Savannah get to talking. Even worse after the festival Tessa realizes she's bleeding and Tristan rushes her to the hospital. Everything is fine but she'll have to rest and avoid stress. They had agreed to head to Vegas for Tristan's divorce party Ben Olson has organized but Tessa can't go. Once Tristan leaves, Savannah gets to talking to Tessa and begins to plant suspicions in Tessa's mind. Tristan tries to have a good time with his friends back in Vegas but can't stop worrying about Tessa. When he notices that Tessa has texted him he tries to get in contact but after a day of calling and texting she hasn't responded. He heads back home and when he arrives something isn't right. He knocks on her door and is shocked when Tessa's mom tells him what's happened. What is going to happen when Tessa and Tristan see each other again? Will Tessa and Tristan come clean about everything or will the secrets destroy what they've built? I received a free copy of this book from the author and reviewed it voluntarily.

has us delving right back into Tessa and Tristan’s story, picking exactly right off from the cliffhanger ending Lisa Suzanne left us with in
Hidden Mistake,
the second book in
Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver
series.
As we continue to follow Tessa and Tristan, the more they unravelled before our very eyes, exposing many more of the layers that made up who they are and all that is going on with their lives. From the many changes and decisions that are needed to be made.
Once again, it led us on a journey that had the narrative focusing heavily and thoroughly on the characters themselves. As well as the emotional and angsty side to them and the overall storyline that constituted it.
Given how Lisa presented us with an in-depth detail told through their POVs about the feelings they continued to battled. Specific to the circumstances that caused them to stop going for what they want. At least in Tessa's case that was.
Although Tessa and Tristan continued to frustrate me, with me wanting to shake them given their need to hold back at times.
And not do or go for what they wanted, consisting of a dance that had them going back and forth and pushing and pulling.
They still entrapped me with their story overall, ultimately causing me to fall even deeper down the rabbit hole when it came the continuation of their story in Honest Mistake.
The cliffhanger Lisa Suzanne left us on had me chomping to the bits (yet again) to know what will happen next and which direction Tessa and Tristan's story will head towards.
The next book No Mistake could not come fast enough.

This is book 3 in the new Vegas Aces Wide Receiver series. It continues the story of Tristan and Tessa, childhood sweethearts, who have found themselves back together while visiting their hometown.
This review will have spoilers for books 1 and 2, so if you haven’t read them yet, DO NOT CONTINUE! (There are no book 3 spoilers…I’m not a monster.)
In books 1 and 2, we find out that Tessa is pregnant with her ex-coworker’s child, although he made it very clear that he wanted nothing to do with either of them. She took off to be with her mom after her father’s passing and decides that staying there to raise her baby alone back where she grew up is the best choice. Running into her old love Tristan wasn’t in the plan, but it didn’t take them long to reignite the old flame that never really burned out for one another. He is in the middle of divorcing his manipulative ex, which is the reason Tessa is reluctant to explore anything physical with him.
Honest Mistake begins with the bombshell of Tessa finally telling Tristan that she’s pregnant. Being the perfect book boyfriend that he is, he immediately tries to work out in his head how to make it all work and be a family with the love of his life and her baby. But outside influences begin to worm their way into the mix, trying to destroy any shot at a future for this couple.
This is a true series, and the cliffhanger at the end of this book (just like all the others) has me literally SALIVATING for the next installment. I am so invested in this couple, it should be a sin. Thanks to Wordsmith Publicity for providing me with an ARC for review.

New beginnings and new commitments are made; complete with a couple dream come true grand gestures from Tristan in the hopes that Tessa would be able to set aside her insecurities and believe in his love for her.
Meanwhile, all of their hard work and planning has come to fruition and the fundraising festival was a smashing success. But even as some very beautiful events take place, there is still the underlying current of doubt and unease as women from their pasts start coming out of the woodwork to collaborate and to sabotage their rekindling relationship. It is tough being with an NFL star that is such a media icon and who every woman wants, but trying to stay out of the media and in the background because of secrets that need to stay hidden is especially tough when the man you love has an ex-wife with mad investigative skills and who knows everything. Was it photos on Instagram of Tristan and beautiful women, her underlying trust issues, Suzanne’s threats of exposure, or a very unexpected visit from an unwanted visitor that has Tessa disappearing again? Could it be just a huge misunderstanding or an honest mistake and where exactly is she?
Twists and turns are around every corner in this page-turner. Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver is quickly becoming my favourite series of Lisa's and of the Vegas Aces world and I cannot wait for the next book, especially with how Honest Mistake ended! Lisa Suzanne knows how to leave us wanting more and Honest Mistake and the whole series is a perfect example of why Lisa Suzanne is always a go to author for me and one of my favourite authors!

Honest Mistake, Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver book three by Lisa Suzanne adds layer upon layer of drama and suspense to Tristen and Tessa’s lives. Tristen is finally granted the final decree of his divorce from Saravanan. The real question is will she let him go??? Tristen and Tessa’s love is confessed as they delve into picking up where they ended eight years earlier. Sparks ignite into an inferno as Tristen and Tessa acknowledge the T and T part of their romance truly being explosive despite Tessa being pregnant with another man’s baby. But the three evil wenches: Savanna (Tristen’s ex-wife), Stephanie (Tessa’s weird stepsister), and Tiffany (who always wanted Tristen) are pot-stirrers as Honest Mistake ends. The reader is left on the edge of their seats only to discover Tessa has returned to Chicago. Why did she return Was it a forced return or a feeling that she was trapped and had no other option? What will Tristen do? Will he shut down or go after her? When will the secrets both Tristen and Tessa are holding come to light? Who will be the one to tell the other what happened? Honest Mistake is another rollercoaster ride for Tristan and Tessa. I loved watching their relationship continue to build and deepen. They truly are soulmates and while things are never easy, I know it’s going to be worth it in the end. I just have to strap in and enjoy the ride.
“They say when you know, you know, and I’ve always known it was her.”
Tristan continues to be absolutely swoonworthy although I’ll admit there were some moments I was worried that he would do something he would regret. He is so supportive of Tessa and what she’s going through. His loyalty and heart is so big and I am so afraid of how the secrets from both their pasts may devastate them.
“I’m beautiful because he believes it to be true, and he makes me feel it.”
Tessa finally allows herself to get closer to Tristan, but previous relationships have left scars and she finds it hard to fully trust in what they have. Add in all of the outside forces that want to destroy their relationship and it’s a minefield to navigate.

While some secrets are revealed, others are still just waiting to be discovered. Honest Mistake is so full of heart and heat with a dash of angst. I just knew that cliffhanger was coming and it has me on the edge of my seat to find out what happens next.

Honest Mistake is book 3 and continues with Tessa finally telling Tristan that she’s pregnant. The baby is from the married Dr. who worked with her before even though she didn't know he was. Tristian is shocked but is in love with Tess and wants a family with her. He supports her by telling her he will be the baby's father. Tristan gets the greatest news that he finally after two years is divorced from his witch of a wife Savannah. Ben Olsen as promised plans to throw a weekend party for Tristan to celebrate, so he goes back to Vegas for his big divorce bash.e Tristian and Tess now can further their relationship that progress to the point that Triatian proposes to Tess during the fireworks at the end of their Festival they planned. Tristian's teammates including Luke who was also once married to Savannah. They all come to support him. Of course who shows up?? Yup the Ex wanting Tristian back and Tess's stepsister Stephanie who keeps showing up ramondly and seems to be copying Tess's life.? Tristian and Tess can finally further their relationship and start making life plans but can the love they have withstand all these outside forces? The cliffhanger has me at a loss for words. Tristian's and Tess's story continues with No Mistake (Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver Book 4). All Lisa's books are a must read! I received an arc for my review.

The third in the series, Honest Mistake is the most emotionally tense edition so far. Filled with secrets that still are not exposed, Tessa and Tristan continue to prove their love for each other while ancillary characters and sub-plots attempt to undermine their commitment to each other.
Lisa Suzanne, mistress of the cliffhangers, has us all hanging off of that lone tree branch, swinging in the breeze, hoping that fate will be kinder to these two.
The story continues as Tessa tells Tristan she is pregnant. Throughout the past story, Tristan’s desire for a family and renewed hope that Tessa feels the love he has for her is reciprocated. Their combined efforts to help a local student, their growing affection for each other, and the battle to cut ties with Tristan’s wife, while Tessa’s step-sister’s mysterious behavior keep us wondering—how does this all play out?

Oh my heart. This book is filled with so many emotions. At the beginning of this book, one secret that Tessa has held onto for awhile is revealed and Tristan takes the news really well and is honestly one of the sweetest guys in romance book history. The love he has for Tessa is so beautiful and watching them reconnect and slowly build a life together is everything. I'm so rooting for this couple but there are major storms brewing that are about to implode. Just when Tristan and Tessa start to get comfortable with one another again and make major strides in their relationship, everything slowly starts to crumble. Tessa is still keeping a key part of the past from Tristan, there is an angry and vengeful ex, a half sister who does not have good intentions and now at the end of the book an angry spouse who is ready to ruin everything. Despite it all though, I know T&T will be able to whether the storm together. I know a lot of things are heading their way but I can't wait to find out what happens in the next book. I highly recommend this series, it is so good and will have you on the edge of your seat!

October 16, 2022This is the third book in the Vegas Aces Wide Receiver series. Tristan and Tessa are growing closer. Tristan now knows one of Tessa's secrets and seems wildly ok with it. They have been working on a fundraiser for a local boy who has some family troubles. Everything seems to be going smoothly with the fundraiser until Tessa's half sister Stephanie starts showing up. Not only does she seem to be interested in Tristan, but she seems to be trying to recreate Tessa's life with herself in place of Tessa.
Tristan is finally able to divorce his wife Savannah and makes plans to move on with his life with Tessa in it. All seems good until the day of the fundraiser when Savannah shows up and seems to make friends with not only Stephanie, but also with a local girl that is a mistake from Tristan past (which he has not told Tessa about).

Things are getting intense with Tristan and Tessa!
Honest Mistake is the third book in the Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver series by Lisa Suzanne. Tristan and Tessa's story is told over the course of the 5 books in the series so you must read this series in order and this book will end with a cliffhanger.
And good lord it is quite the cliffhanger.
I just knew that Tristan was going to be all in and not skip a beat when Tessa finally shared *one* of her many secrets with him. He went all swoony small town hero with her. It felt like the relationship these two picked right back up where they left off 7 years ago- with such a sweet and comfortable feeling in their interactions plus the added benefit of a little more spice than they had at 17.
The suspense of the other lingering secrets that both Tessa and Tristan are hiding is ramping up and I felt my anxiety rising with each chapter and every close interaction with the trifecta of crazy ladies: Savannah, Stephanie and Tiffany. Then Lisa goes and throws in a twist right before the cliff and I'm dying for book 4 to be here already!

Honest Mistake, book three in the Vegas Aces: The Wide Receiver is the best one of the series. The twists and turns that happen at the turn of every page will have you sitting on the edge of your set. The fundraising festival is happening and there are soo many surprises, both good and bad. Tessa reveals one secret and Tristan is there for her, but what secret did she tell him? He finally has his life back but Savannah and Stephanie as well as Tiff have become friends, which means hell is about to break loose. Will TNT be able to survive what is reigning down on them? Will Tristan's divorce finally clear the way for Trist and Tessa to start a life together? Will a trip to Vegas start the downward spiral for both of them? When there are surprise phone calls and threats made how will they both deal with it? Will social media be the one thing that changes their lives? The visitor that Tessa gets is one that I did not see coming as well as the cliffhanger at the end. Will their love be strong enough to survive everything that the world is throwing at them?

But don't get ahead of yourself here. Tessa doesn't like being in the limelight and still has secrets she hasn't told Tristan yet. And let's not forget the evil Savannah who knows all and it seems like she has "friends" to help her, Stephanie and Tiffany and she's not just gonna go quietly.
As Tristan goes to Vegas to celebrate his divorce and party with his teammates, Tessa stays home due to her medical issue. Just as she is feeling better and thinks she will fly out and surprise Tristan in Vegas, she gets a visitor and it's not who you would think.
Can they survive this? Can I survive this! You can't get comfortable because Ms. Suzanne will turn you upside down and have your heart pounding!

I Just couldn't wait to dive into this next part of Tristan and Tessa, especially with the cliffhanger that left me in bits!!
Tess and Tristan are still moving forward with their relationship, they have talked and emotionally they are definitely on the same page, but I'm still holding my breath because the witches are circling, Savannah is threatening, and Tessa's half-sister is becoming more intimidating.
I love this couple, they are so in love and deserve to find their happy ever after, but pressure is building and so much more has still to come out into the open, my heart is aching for them and I just want and need them to be able to survive what has yet to come, this has been my favorite of the series so far, emotionally i'm right there with them, they are so made for each other and they both know and show it!!!
