The issues surrounding poverty and inequality continue to be of central concern to academics, politicians and policy makers but the way in which we seek to study and understand them continues to change over time. Como los libros que son colecciones de artículos de investigación la calidad varia de capitulo a capitulo. Es una buena recolección metodológica de algunos de los avances en los campos de pobreza y desigualdad. Algunos de los artículos son muy buenos otros son algo aburridos. No es un libro entretenido por su escritura pero es útil si se trabajan estos campos.
