How did the werewolf lose his head?
No, it's not a joke. Crimson Cove is awash with warring werewolves. And I'm not purring. Werewolves mean trouble.
And then there's the continued invasion of the non-magicals. Why are they here? How do they keep sneaking in? It's another thing that has my murder mittens twitching.
When top werewolf negotiator, Emron Laker, loses his head, the trouble bubbles and risks boiling over as werewolves rampage and demand justice, putting my wonderful witch and all the non-magicals at risk.
As reluctant as I am to put my witch in harm's way, we want the werewolves gone, so offer our services as part of our animal control duties to sniff out the killer (well, I'll be doing most of the sniffing!)
We find troubled packs, unhappy bonds, and a den of issues.
Things are about to get frisky.

Loved it!
Ok, werewolves hierarchy really stinks. Especially when the alpha is a real jerk and extremely violent. Pack mentality, yuck! Anyway, this was a particularly interesting murder mystery. There were so many reasons and suspects in this murder. The victim was not we liked at all. But, who did it? And why are the non-magical humans finding their way into Crimson Cove? They are everywhere!

I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful this book series is. It has everything-Talking familiars (pets,animals)Vampires,Werewolves elves,pixies and Angels!This series is fun to read and I can’t put the book down til I finish! Try one and you’ll be hooked. Every witch way but wolf MMM#4
I have read four books of this series and it just keeps getting better. I’m happy for Zandra and Juno solving mysteries as they come and always come out ok. And hopefully in one of these books Zandra finds her a companion that her familiar cat Juno seems to think she needs . I love Junos attitude she’s a force to be reckoned with. Five ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

April 7, 2025I loved this book, and the previous one. Stayed up way too late reading each of them. Characters are extremely diverse, interesting and lots of info about paranormals and other such things that I didn't know since I'm relatively new to reading this genre. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Another great book in this series! I love the characters and this story had plenty to keep me guessing. An easy enjoyable read that has left me wanting more of Crimson Cove and its magical inhabitants. I received an ARC and this is my honest opinion.

Another exciting adventure!
This book was another exciting adventure involving werewolves, and of course there was a murder to solve. There was also an abundance of pesky non magicals to deal with. I am excited to see what happens next.

Audiobook review.
A wonderful addition to an amazing series. I loved the worldbuilding, the suspenseful story with its many twists, Juno and her awesome friends, the brilliant narration by Emily Durante, and the beautiful cover.
Highly recommended.
