Lo primero que pienso al terminar Spawn o La Abeja Reina (versión en español) es que es un libro muy "correcto". Está bien escrito, me gusta el ritmo de la historia, cómo resuelve conflictos de manera realista. Pero hasta ahí. La historia de fondo es aburrida, quizás muy simple y se adivina muy al comienzo del libro. Tampoco me gustó el final.

It's 1974. Marianne is struggling to conceive a child with her American boyfriend. She seeks help at a local fertility clinic, unaware that she's about to become part of a twisted plot conceived in a Berlin bunker at the end of World War 2.
Despite the yucky (but not that graphic) story-line this is well written and everyone behaves as realistically as anyone could in the circumstances. The ending is satisfying.
