It’s taken me a good few weeks to read this as it’s been a book I’ve kept dipping in & out of. While I’ve been interested enough to keep reading it, it wasn’t a book I wanted to read at any length. At times the writing was a bit flat & dull – unlike Katy! From what I’ve seen of her on TV, Katy is a larger than life, quirky character with a warm personality which I didn’t think was really reflected here. That said, there are quite a few funny episodes along the way!
While obviously Katy’s relationship with her dogs is a key feature there seemed very little about actually training the dogs, however towards the end, two chapters focused specifically on dog training but ironically these didn’t hold my interest!
Overall not a bad read about a determined & likeable woman & including some really beautiful animal drawings by Katy herself.
