I just finished this account of the 9/11 attacks published by the University Press of California just one month after the tragedy. The book appears rushed to publication and there are inaccuracies, but I expect the book to aid my teaching of this event here at the Early College of Arvada. The book contains some great details on the hijackers' backgrounds and motivations, the backgrounds of those aboard the planes and at the World Trade Center, and quotes from those who escaped alive. My current students were born too late to have firsthand memories of the tragedy, so I look forward to sharing the memory of this traumatic day with them.
