What’s Devan to do when badly injured? Call on Tan, of course.
What’s Tan to do against the creature who dared touch his knight? Destroy it utterly.
A Necromancer, eight skelebabies, a dark sorceress, and a horrified knight as backup are not as helpful as one would think.

AJ Sherwood believes in happily ever afters, magic, dragons, good men, and dark chocolate. She often dreams at night of delectable men doing sexy things with each other. In between writing multiple books (often at the same time) she pets her cats, plays with her dogs, and attempts insane things like aerial yoga.
She currently resides in Tennessee with aforementioned cats, dogs, and her editor/best friend/sister/partner in crime.
Just when you thought Tan was crazy, you meet his older brother and sister, who are also black sorcerers, as powerful as their baby brother, and just as insane.
The parts where Devan, Tan, and the others were hunting the deadly vampire were good, but I was realllllly feeling the part where the 5 "Adventurers" attacked Tan's castle, without realizing there were 3 powerful, magical lunatics they'd be going up against. As hilarious as it was freaking priceless.

Fun, but not OTT. I got The Complete Works, so it feels more like one big book to me, and since I'm in bed with the flu I'll rush through the series (when I'm not sleeping). We have alterning povs between Tan (the black sorcerer) and Devan (the white knight) but for me Tan is stealing the show.. I want to cuddle him so bad. Someone has to, because he is suffering from SCD (Severe Cuddle Deficiency) 😭😂
On todays episode of How I Stole the Princess's White Knight and Turned Him to Villainy Devan meets the family after nearly getting killed by a vampire, causing Tan to call in the cavalry i.e. his brother and sister. One of whom is a necromancer.
This morning I woke up my husband cackling about this book. I couldn't stop myself. 🤣🤣🤣 Hours later I still feel the need to laugh for no reason and my tummy feels like someone is constantly tickling me from the inside. These books are very short, so the slow burn isn't a big deal, but it would be really nice if there was more than just cuddling. On the other hand, it's nice to watch the relationship develop very slowly and gain new aspects, as well as more characters arrive. And the sheer cuteness still overcomes the lack of intimacy.
“Whatever this thing is, I will hunt it and avenge you.” That brought a soft smile to Devan’s face and his eyes closed. “No complaints here. Do I get to watch?” “If you’d like.” With a hum of agreement, Devan turned his face further into Tan’s palm and fell instantly to sleep. Oh gods. The cuteness. Tan’s heart nearly exploded from the cuteness. He had no idea Devan could be cute, and he had no immunity to it.
The good + Devan trusting Tan completely + Tan's utter delight with Devan + Wells coming to check up on Devan + Meeting the family... + Those skeletons calling Tan's brother Bone Daddy + Devan starting to pine for Tan too + Devan indulging Tan all the time
The neutral o I hope the storyline with Tan's sister doesn't end up in something non-consensual happening with Wells
The bad - Tan didn't catch Devan while he was actually in the bath and that's such a pity
Quotes x "Becoming an adult was one of the worst decisions I've ever made."
I'm enjoying this serial immensely. I love Devan and how much he secretly really wants to provide all the cuddles Tan asks for. Would recommend for sure.
Not as good as the first book, but I still had a great time reading this!
Lots of things happen in this, while I still had the feeling nothing really happened. It was mostly action and not a lot of depth this time. I guess I hoped we got a little more Tan and Devan alone time.
When Devon gets hurt while hunting down a vampire he seeks help from our favourite sorcerer Tan. And here we go again... More cuddling, monsters and Tan's sibblings, sorcerers as well.
Short, sweet and chaotic. Nice to see Tan's siblings are just as out there as he is. Poor Wells. I liked that Devan isn't the only one being pulled around now. The fact he actually brought a cat was adorable. Looking forward to the next one.

Still the same creative dynamic in this book. Devan has been tasked with hunting a strange creature in the woods who only hunts adults. It tears their throats out and drains them dry. Sound familiar? When Devan goes up against it, he finds himself swiftly outmatched and in need of help. Who does he call?
Tan couldn't be happier to help Devan, but he's livid that the Princess, once again, shows a lack of concern for everyone's favourite knight. We're introduced to Tan's siblings, who are almost as ridiculous as he is. His sister, Fa, is a hot mess of comedic delights and his brother, Niran, is a necromance unlike any other I've experienced before. I'm serious, these characters are full of fun. Our heroes take on the undead with glee and I was excited to see the deep level of trust developing between Devan and Tan.
Are we one huge step closer to happily ever after? Tan hopes so!!
I’m really enjoying these little installments in Tan and Devan’s journey. I like how each one focuses on a different adventure they have to work through together to either save other people or themselves from danger. They’re both very fun and charming MCs. There are a few moments where their fun and humor seems a little OTT, but it’s scarce enough and the book is short enough where it doesn’t bother me too much.
This one was Tan and Devan against a vampire, with Tan’s two siblings joining in on the adventure. They’re just as chaotic as he is, if not more. Devan’s friend and ‘coworker’ Wells also joined in the fun. Made it quite a read with a bunch of characters.
Looking forward to the next installment in this little series. Will start that soon.
Silly but mostly the humour lands. These are rather short stories though and I suspect better read compiled. These dark sorcerers cross some boundaries but at least Tan is after cuddles and not pushing for sex. Looking forward to see where this goes.
Btw, I dislike chibi covers in non-graphic novels. I actually enjoy chibis when they're used in manga, but I feel like if the only available visualisation of a character is a chibi picture, I'm having some difficulty considering them a romantic interest.
Fun. That’s basically the most apt description for these little stories - they’re good fun. I didn’t enjoy this one as much as the first, but it’s a lighthearted break from reality which is sometimes all you need ☺️
I am loving this series. Each book is short. In this one Devan is sent out to the woods to deal with the creature there who has been attacking folk. He in turn is attacked and contacts Tan for help. We also meet Tan's brother and sister who are also black sorcerers.
This is not a stand-alone, this series needs to be read in order!
I highly recommend it as a fun romp that is well edited and has none of these pesky "why why why" moments that I find in so many books of this fantasy/romance genre. The characters are fun and likeable, the story line fast paced, the interaction between the two main protagonists is fun banter, and the supporting characters are awesome as well. Not much angst, and even if the guys have enemies, they never get into these dreaded "all is lost" situations. Well done!
I read all 6 novellas in a row (as they should be read since one just picks up from the end of the other) and recommend to have them all lined up on your e-book when you start this one.
This series is so much fun -- silly, cracky, hilarious, charming fun!
It's a super enjoyable light read!
I love Tan so much!
The transitions between the books in the series are really well done. Although I wouldn't consider them standalone books, each one transitions and works well as it's own episode, and the overall story is wonderful.
Dyamm I inhaled that. The characters are so surprisingly* well written and adorbs to hell and back. Niran being obsessed with anyone and everyone's spine cracked me up.
*Surprisingly cos everyone had such little limelight at any given time, considering the length of the book. But they're always so naturally in character <3
I'm loving this series of novellas. I adore Tan with his love of cats, attraction and flirtation with Devin, and morally grey ways. He's not a bad guy, there are lines he won't cross. Already looking forward to the next installment
I needed a kind of palate cleanser read after struggling through some books I wasn’t in the mood for, and this was perfect. Short and cute with a good balance of fluff and action, I loved this second Miracle and am looking forward to more!
