Bobby and John Maslen developed the Bob Books, while Bobby was a teacher of 3 to 5-year-olds at a private school in Portland, Oregon. After many years of self-publishing, Scholastic became Bob Books’ publisher in 1995.
These are books are great for teaching short vowel sounds especially for preschoolers and kindergarteners. The black and white drawings are simplistic and the sentences are short. The short sentences can be used to encourage reluctant readers to try reading without overwhelming them. This book is part of the Bob's book series and they are great!
The kids don't seem to enjoy this "Bob" Book as much as the others. I don't think it is as much fun to read as they don't really relate to Peg and Ted. Anyways, Marcos and I read it a few times but he never seemed much interested like the other "Bob" books.
