This is a great thriller if you’re looking for a quick read. It’s very fast paced and I love how we get the stalker’s POV as well.

I love a good stalker thriller and this one was very creepy and kept me guessing throughout.
I did find it lacked a big suckerpunch shocking ending but otherwise I enjoyed the ride. The writing style is easy to read in first person POV and also from the stalker POV, cleverly not giving anything away.
Some of the MCs mannerisms and actions I thought were a bit childish, but I couldn't fault her love and protection for her lovely little dog!
A thriller worth reading if you enjoy stalker thrillers, psychological thrillers and pulse pounding storylines.
Honestly, if that sort of stuff happened to me, I'd be freaking the hell out!

“He Thought I Was His” by Sara Kate is an intense, chilling thriller that grabs you from the first page. The story follows Brynn, a young woman being stalked by someone who believes she belongs to him. With no help from the police unless she can name her stalker, Brynn is left to protect herself—and survive—alone. The suspense and tension are relentless, and kept me completely hooked. I couldn’t stop thinking about this story and had to finish it as fast as I could. A gripping, nerve-wracking read!

HE THOUGHT I WAS HIS
By Sara Kate
Except for the subject matter, which for me, as a father, who already worries enough about his three daughters, is troublesome, the book was an easy read. It can be finished it in a single day.
Fast paced, from beginning to end there is always something happening. You are drawn in and become invested in the main character’s life.
A young woman, Brynn, is dealing with a stalker… not just any stalker, but one totally obsessed. The story follows her daily routine, relationships, work and financial difficulties common to our time. Things seem to just get harder and harder… did I mention she is dealing with a stalker?
It provides just enough background of each character to understand their actions and motivations. The story is told in real time from both the perspective of Brynn, as she try’s to figure out who is stalking her, invading her privacy, and from the viewpoint of the stalker as they do “creepy stalker things.

Writing in first person, present tense was a bold decision by the author. It is something that is not easy to do. And, this was well done.
I would describe Sarah Kates writing style as minimalist. It is crisp and clean, and very natural, telling a story that is not only disturbingly possible, but a story similar to what some people have actually experienced.

Sinister Tale of Obsession

Some of the most terrifying books are the ones that could actually happen. This story immediately begins on a creepy note as a young woman (Brynn) thinks she is alone in her home but is actually being watched by an unknown stalker. We get the stalker’s POV right away and can tell things are going to get bad for Brynn. The stalker is brazen, regularly breaking into her apartment and leaving things for her to find in an attempt to show his twisted version of love. Brynn gets little help from the authorities, and you can sense that the unknown stalker (who admits to being a murderer as well) is going to find a way to kidnap her. We are introduced to several obvious suspects, but I figured the stalker would eventually turn out to be someone only mentioned in passing (if at all). When Brynn and her stalker finally clash, you see this guy is so insane, intelligent, and dangerous that we don’t know if Brynn will make it. Sara Kate does a great job building the tension from start to finish. Brynn is a strong, albeit flawed protagonist, and you will be rooting for her the entire way. This book also highlights how law enforcement should take stalking claims more seriously. Anyone who enjoyed YOU will love this book.

Ooooh, this was intense. I love how fast paced this was, I also loved having the occasional POV from the stalker. My favourite thing was not knowing if the author was attempting to make the stalker obvious with little hints here and there, or if the plan was for us to think it's obvious and then bam, surprise!
I must say, I didn't trust anyone.....and was I susprised? Yes.

I enjoyed following Brynn and I thought her story, especially towards the end, especially when the stalker mentions all their expectations (having kids 😳), was terrifying! So creepy. It's especially scary how long they had been stalking her until she finally started getting an idea something sinnister was happening. Makes you think doesn't it? Who can piece together your routine, your life, your past? Especially with social media!

A very good thriller with a gripping storyline and an array of well developed characters.

Content - Brynn has a stalker but she has no clue of who he is. The police don't want to take up the case as they don't have any suspect.

Soon, Brynn feels threatened and scared even at her own home. But the stalker is ready to set his plan in motion.

Who is this person? What is his plan? Read the book to get the answers.

My Views - The book is a thriller and from the very beginning you can feel the thrill and the nail-biting suspense. The narration is compact and exciting. The book is fast paced and you can finish it in one sitting

The book is surely gonna keep you at the edge of your seat.

BRYNN HAS A STALKER, WHICH SHE DOESN'T EVEN KNOW ABOUT. TO ME SHE IS A VERY IMMATURE SILLY WOMAN FOR A 27 YR OLD AND KIND OF STUPID. I WONDERED WHY DOESN'T SHE GET SOME CONTACTS. I WAS AT 20% AND STILL TRYING TO LIKE HER. IF SHE'S NOT CAREFUL SHE MIGHT BE HEADED INTO HAVING A DRINKING PROBLEM. EVERYONE SEEMS A LITTLE OFF AND STRANGE, WEIRD. SHE NEEDS TO PRIORITISE, SEEMS OBLIVIOUS TO THE WORLD AROUND HER. BE FOREVER AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS. THE WRITTING STYLE WAS A BIT CHOPPY AND DID'NT FLOW SMOOTH IN PLACES. NOT A TERRIBLE READ BUT I DID NOT LIKE THE CHARACTERS. ;<

A man feels a certain woman is his soulmate. The trouble is she doesn’t know who he is. Told in multiple POV from the woman, Brynn, and the man, identified at first as Stalker, throughout the book. I love multiple POV books because I get to see more of the character. When you don’t know who the Stalker is, it is interesting to see how they think. A fast paced book that I read in one day. I would definitely read more books by this author.

A good thriller/stalker read. Brynn discovers someone has been entering her apartment and leaving her gifts. She is being stalked and has no idea by who.
I could really feel the claustrophobic atmosphere of Brynn being watched. It kept you guessing who her stalker could be and I was wrong with my guess. It had plenty of suspense and a bit of a creepy atmosphere to it, with the stalker being such a creepy guy. Another from Sara Kate I would recommend.

This is a super creepy stalker story. Brynn knows someone is watching her, and things only get worse as the story goes on. The stalking becomes more intense, the police don’t seem to help, and the danger feels very real. You can feel time running out for her, and it keeps the tension high the whole way through. Dark, unsettling, and hard to put down.

I want to start off by saying that I received a ebook arc. In return for my honest thoughts and review. I have to be completely honest I have never read anything from this author before. After reading this book. Definitely will be adding more of this author books to my tbr. Yes this book took me longer to read. But I didn’t want to rush through this book.
Definitely a page turner. This book had me on my toes.
I will tell you one thing is makes you think and look around your surroundings more. I highly recommend this book. It’s a short and amazing quick read.
I highly recommend this book. You will never suspect who he is. I was thinking is was someone Brynn knew. I was completely wrong.

I have to say — this book did not disappoint!!

This is a dual POV, cat & mouse, thrill ride that kept me engaged the whole way through. With hints of “YOU” and “Enough” with bits and pieces from what you can assume is the author’s personal life thrown in to make it relatable.

I had just come off of a high, finishing the UNSUB series and was looking for a new story to get lost in. THIS was it! The story is solid, the characters are relatable, the way the author describes her characters’ lives day in and out are relatable to more people than not.

Admittedly, it did take me a few chapters to really get into it, having just finished a great book series as well as the show “YOU,” however once I got to a certain chapter I was hooked — I was caught — I was IN IT.

The way the author goes from one person’s perspective to another’s, telling the same story, but from different POVs was seamless. I have read a few books now with dual POVs, and have to say that not everyone who tries to do it is so creative and have it flow so well. Sara Kate is not one of those authors, she did it, and she really did it well.

I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a fast paced thriller with “there’s someone watching me” tones

I really enjoyed this book. After reading Everything Led Me To You, I was excited to read more from this author. I really liked the way this book was set out. The short chapters had me hooked and set a quick pace from the start which had me reading late into the night! It made the dual POV easy to engage with.

The main character and the way she was written made me instantly like her and the stalker chapters were brilliantly creepy, with him getting more delusional as the book goes on. The other characters (there weren't a lot which I loved as I felt like I got to know them) had my heart immediately for the way they cared about Brynn. Chase is a favourite character for sure and I loved how dramatic Ariel was.

The ending was good but had me thinking a lot. I liked the quickness of the events but I also wanted more from the mind of Brynn because I felt a bit rushed through it.

This is a book I've already recommended to a friend for the creepy vibe of the stalker and the clever twists.

Damn! Talk about suspense! I was on the edge of my seat!! The author gives you just enough information to be thoroughly creeped out and intrigued but strings you along so you're flipping pages trying to figure it out. It's a wonderful read and very well-written. If you're looking for an easy-to-read, sometimes funny, sometimes terrifying story with fistfuls of suspense and real-to-life characters who immediately feel like your best friends, look no further. You won't regret this wild ride---that's for sure.

Told from multiple points of view, Brynn does not know that the Stalker is controlling her life. Thinking that she has found her soulmate, the different perspectives give you an insight into a relationship that can be found without even knowing who someone really is. I would definitely read more books by this author.
