This guide may be unofficial Sex and the City merch, but it’s so darned cute it totally gets away with it! Rather than using stills from the show (which would presumably be copyrighted), the book uses pop art inspired versions of the characters in familiar poses to pair with its text. Dynamically styled with simple graphic layouts, bright colours, and plenty of speech bubbles containing equally familiar quotes, the book is a cute mini-guide to the series. Lewis takes us through the major themes of the show, its characters, and the fashion in just enough depth to stoke our nostalgia, with a short note at the finale that admits that not everything about the series has aged well. As with all of my favourite obsessions, no book on Sex and the City will likely ever be enough to sate my appetite, but this little pink book was a sweet treat.

This was a fun book if you love the original Sex and the City. I checked it out of my local library because the reboot of the series has been making me miss the original series. It's a light read that gives you some highlights of each character from the original show and gives you some fun quizzes. If you are a fan of the original series this is a nice way to spend an hour, but it doesn't really provide any new content about the show or the making of it, so if that is what you are looking for I would recommend that you seek out another book on the topic. If you just want to look at awesome art work and reminisce about the show this is the read for you.

The illustrations are really cute. But there is misinformation in calling Miranda's ex-boyfriend Richard instead of Dr. Robert Leeds. It is Samantha's boyfriend, named Richard. Very cute illustrations though.
