Although not feasible in some regards since it takes into effect that all you need to do to help out your finances is find an octopus or even having an invertebrate hanging out at the grocery store this book was quite informative otherwise.

Albert the Octopus Accountant starts off by introducing young readers to what is an account and then how do they help out others. The book then gets into the nitty-gritty by addressing what is money, why you need money, how the majority of us get money, explores the various forms of money, where money is kept, explores your wants & needs while introducing the idea of budgeting. It then ends on a positive note in which the author tells young readers and the adults in their life how they can all get involved so that newest generation can start to learn more about their family's finances since of the important skills that it will teach children.

The book is brightly colored, has an inclusive cast including up to a purple cat and also various pages with multiple selections that work as answers for interactive questions.

This was most definitely a nice and informative read that is also quite simple to understand for very young readers. As such I would recommend it to children but I think the book would end up being an even better resource if the adults in their lives choose to share this book with their little ones then sit down to be open about this subject that is now rarely taught to the youngest between us.

cute

Cute kid’s book about money and saving. My aunt was an accountant too so it was fun to explain what she used to do to my kids by reading them the Albert story.
