Mackenzie Fox is a new author for me and I really enjoyed the book! I always like to give a new author a go - especially when its a favorite trope. Really enjoyed the storyline. The book was about 50/50 in the past/now and did not flip back and forth. I loved that the hero a d heroine were from different sides of the track, but had things about them that propped the other up. I also like the heroine was super educated (dr), but this working Joe high school dropout still did it for her ❤. Will definitely keep my eye out for future releases!

Second chances…
When Nitro was shot when he was 19yrs old, a new intern sat on him to keep pressure on his wound. He thought she was an angel but his dirty mouth couldn’t hold back what he wished for her to be riding instead.
Nitro was young, in a rough club and with a future going no where. During his recovery he becomes a little obsessed with the doctor who helped save his life.
Dr Frankie Stevens is in a whole different league then Nitro. She’s from money, has a career and is a few years older then Nitro. After saving his life she feels a connection with him.
Nitro starts watching over Frankie. Sitting outside her apartment, watching her at work and stalks her at outings. He’s become enamored with her and she doesn’t seem to mind. She’s well aware of him and feels comforted somehow by his presence.
Emotions come to a head and Frankie invites him into her apartment. She needs him and they have a night to remember.
Nitro disappears the next day and she doesn’t hear from him. Not knowing is driving her crazy so she visits his club and finds out he’s in jail.
She’s been offered a job out of state and has to let him know she’s leaving.
A 10yr jump into the future, Frankie and Nitro are in the same town. One is keeping a huge secret and the other knows fate is behind bringing them full circle.
This was an emotional ride. They both go through a lot to get where they are and will go through even more once reunited.

I’ve been on pins and needles waiting for Nitro’s story since Rubble and Lucy’s book. I was not disappointed and, whew, was this story hot. If you like your bad boys heroes with stalker tendencies and dirty talking mouths, than Nitro is absolutely for you. I’m usually not that into reverse age gap stories, but I’d they are well done and the hero doesn’t feel younger than it’s awesome. In most of this book Frankie actually feels quite a bit younger than Nitro despite being older. Their differences are what made the story interesting. The writing was amazing (like always with this author) and the heat between the two of them was 🥵🥵🥵. I loved seeing other members of both clubs and the twist of action included. Fantastic read!

What a great MC read this is. If you love young love and second chances then you do not want to miss this book. Frankie is a young lady who works her butt off to become a obstetrician. She is working at an internship and she is super quirky and sassy and I just was loving that about her. She really goes through a lot in this book and I really loved watching her grow and change. Nitro is a troubled young man and is really hanging out with a crowd that he should have never been around. He however has the biggest heart. When he meets Frankie he is immediately drawn to her and feels this absolute need to protect her since she was the one who saved his life. However he really feels he isn't good enough for her but watching over her even if she never knows is his way of keeping her safe. As the years go by they both grow and still have this attraction to each other and have to figure that out. Plus Frankie has a secret. One she protects at all costs. This book was just great I loved the characters and I love that we got their story from past to present. It really makes you feel so connected to these characters.

Mackenzy Fox brings us Nitro, a steamy, second-chance romance with a surprising depth and a bit of a darker twist. Nitro and Frankie’s story has plenty of tension, passion, and emotion, making it a compelling read, though it doesn’t quite hit all the marks for me.
Frankie, our sassy, hardworking FMC, is easy to root for. She's quirky, determined, and has a secret that adds an intriguing layer to the story. I loved watching her grow throughout the book as she navigates her career and complicated feelings for Nitro. Speaking of Nitro—wow. The guy is a classic troubled hero. He’s got a past with some rough edges, but he’s got a huge heart, especially when it comes to Frankie. His need to protect her, even from the shadows, added a bit of mystery and intensity to their connection.
The storyline is solid—two people from very different walks of life finding each other again after years apart. The push and pull between Nitro’s sense of duty and Frankie’s own complicated feelings keeps things interesting. The book explores a relationship that grows from a life-saving encounter to something deeper, but I wish there had been more of them actually together. Their chemistry is evident, but the lack of interaction between them until later in the book left me wanting more.
Nitro’s internal struggles with his past and Frankie’s secret add a nice layer of tension, though at times it felt a bit drawn out. The epilogue was a nice touch, wrapping up their story, but I couldn’t help but feel like the book could’ve had more payoff if the pacing between their reconnection was a little quicker.
While I enjoyed Nitro and Frankie’s journey, there were moments when the book felt like it was trying to do too much with the suspense and tension, leaving me more focused on the obstacles than their connection. Still, the writing is engaging, and it was great to see another side of the Bracken Ridge world. If you’re a fan of second-chance romance, troubled heroes, and a slow-burn connection, Nitro is definitely worth a read—but it didn’t quite have the magic I was hoping for.

It surprised me, simply addictive. Usually we always have the story focused on the most important person in the mafia. I loved the fact that it focused on someone in a very low category. On one side we have Frankie, the daughter of a great doctor of renown, on the other we have Nitro, belonging to a mafia club. Nitro doesn't have a good or easy past, having spent part of his life in the harsh reality of the streets, but with a big heart and a generous soul. Two people from different walks of life who couldn't be further from alike. Everything changes one night when Nitro ends up seriously injured, in which he meets Frankie, who was one of the people on duty at the ER the night he checked in. Nitro swore to himself that he would protect Frankie forever because she saved his life. Always hiding in the shadows. Ten years have passed and no one has forgotten what happened between the two. Frankie and Nitro will end up meeting in the same city. A love as intense as theirs, will they both manage to overcome the obstacles they have on the way, will their love be stronger? Nitro struggles with the past and the life he leads, the actions he regrets taking. Will nitro be able to defeat the demons and fears he has, will Frankie be able to do the same? Despite being the first book by Mackenzy Fox that I read, it surprised me immensely and positively. Her writing is simply spectacular. During my reading, I didn't want the book to end and I can't wait for the next one. The details she put into the book are sensational. I advise everyone who has never read her books to give her a chance, another author who does not delude us but amazes us with her dream writing. Frankie is quirky, sassy, but also maybe naive at first. She works hard at her medical internship and hopes to become an obstetrician. I liked how the story spanned over several years so we get to see her change into a stronger person over time. She cares deeply for others and goes through so much.
Nitro is troubled as a teen and falls into a less savory crowd but has a good heart. He finds himself drawn to Frankie and feels the need to protect her after she helps save his life. Yet Nitro feels inadequate as they come from two different worlds and tries to keep his distance emotionally from her. He becomes more hardened over time but maintains his charm and need to protect Frankie.
The two of them have an instant connection but again don’t know lot about each other. As the book progresses first showing Nitro and Frankie’s past and then the present, with them trying to reconfigure what they mean to each other and what they should do about their feelings, there are other challenges they must overcome. In terms of Frankie’s secret (being vague here so as to not spoil), I feel more empathetic to her situation but understand both sides.
I also liked seeing the other characters in this story, with both MCs communicating and helping look out for one another. The plot was had tense, happy, humorous, sad, angry, and tender moments. Overall, it was an engaging read.

The main characters are the strength of this story. I like Nitro. He is straight up adorable. I don’t mind the Safe Stalking here (heck, I don’t mind Safe Stalking period, let’s be honest). I will admit that the cover model being crazy hot didn’t hurt (wander Aguiar photo- SQUEE! Love me some Wander Aguiar). I liked that he had flaws, but that he was basically a good guy who only wanted love.
Frankie is great, too. I don’t agree with all of her choices…
A spoiler-y moment:

I received a copy of this arc in exchange for my honest review. Nitro first meets Frankie when she is on call in the ER when he is rushed in with a gunshot wound. He feels an instant attraction to her and can't forget about her weeks later. He feels this need to watch over and protect her, always there in the background. When she figures out he's been following her, she isn't as mad as she lets on. These two have instant chemistry.
They share an incredible night together but Nitro lands himself into trouble. Frankie moves away to finish her residency, and returns ten years later. The minute she runs into Nitro, she realizes the chemistry between them is as hot as ever, and they cant seem to stay away from one another. Nitro is determined to make her his.. But she is holding on to a huge secret that she’s terrified to share with him. I never expected the twist that was thrown in, my heart was racing until the end. My gosh , I love this story so much. Nitro is a very possessive alpha male, 𝕣𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙, just how i love it ! I absolutely love this series, they just keep getting better! The character development with Nitro and Frankie was outstanding ! Nitro made so many changes and grew into such an amazing man . I loved the amazing woman Frankie is, sweet but she’s strong and successful .

This was another fantastic MC love story in this amazing series.
Nitro is a second chance at love story that was filled with emotional turmoil, heartache, action, suspense, and some very deliciously steamy moments. Right from the start Nitro had me gripping my kindle tightly, gushing with love over his devotion and protectiveness for Frankie, and gasping at some of the shocking twists this story takes.
Nitro is a young man with a fantastic heart. He has a troubled past that he tries to outrun everyday. When he first meets Frankie, in the midst of saving his life, he knows instantly that he must protect her and that she will always have his heart. Frankie is a quirky, smart and sassy young woman, who works hard at achieving success as a doctor. Her life is not always easy, and she has a few setbacks.
I loved the slow buildup of Frankie and Nitro’s relationship. It may have taken a few detours but even after 10 years apart they still have fantastic and undeniable chemistry. There is so much these two need to overcome before they can have their second chance at happiness. It’s a rough road but if they are truly destined to be together, they will get through it.
I absolutely loved this story. These two had my emotions all over the place. I just wanted and needed them to have their happy ever after.

We finally get Nitro's story after he was introduced in Rubble and it was a surprising one. I thought it was an interesting take for this series and explored a storyline we haven't gotten yet. While not my favorite one, I did like Nitro and Frankie. There was something about their connection that pulled me in. I wish we would've got a bit more of them together, but the epilogue helped tie it all together.

We finally get Nitro's story after he was introduced in Rubble and it was a surprising one. I thought it was an interesting take for this series and explored a storyline we haven't gotten yet. While not my favorite one, I did like Nitro and Frankie. There was something about their connection that pulled me in. I wish we would've got a bit more of them together, but the epilogue helped tie it all together.

I’ve read most of the books in this series, they were really good(I didn’t start reviewing books until way after). The writing for all these so far is amazing. But with this one I’m not sure what it is, I was wanting more & missing something. Frankie & Nitro met while she was saving his life from a gunshot wound. Then he felt he was indebted to her and owed her everything, so he stalked her 🤦🏻♀️. Which would have been a good story line if it wasn’t so creepy lol. The spice didn’t happen til almost 50% into the book. Even then it wasn’t that spicy. I got really excited when he grew up (there’s a 10yr gap in the story), and he said he liked new adventures. You literally don’t get to experience them, you only hear about them.
All in all, I just wanted more from this story and their ending. It ended to fast. I will continue to read the rest of the series since I started it.

Wow….Nitro is definitely intense and an alpha full stop. Nitro (book title) was filled with so much of my favorite elements (twists, turns, things going sideways, drama, angst, all the feels, and full stop heat🔥🔥) plus so much surprises that you can’t guess what is going to happen next so you won’t want to put Nitro down! Add in the fact that Nitro had some unique characters and story lines that I was definitely here for it. This was the first time I have read a book from MacKenzie Fox and it won’t be the last. Can’t wait for Gears the next book in the Bracken Ridge Rebels. I highly recommend Nitro, Bracken Ridge Rebels series, and MacKenzie Fox as an author. I for one will plan on reading the series from Book 1, Steel. Happy Reading!

I really liked the dynamic in this story between Frankie and Nitro. He became her protective stalker at the age of 19, after she helps save him from a gunshot wound. Nitro is a member of a one percent club at the time. He doesn’t trust a lot of the members and doesn’t want to bring Frankie into the life. There is a 10 year gap between then and when they finally meet again. During that time, Frankie moves and Nitro is in and out of jail. I wish the time span wasn’t so long.

Ms. Fox, you gave me everything I want in a motorcycle club romance. Nitro, Adam, was holy hotness, and that mouth wow. This man could talk dirty to me and day of the week. Frankie his other half crack my heart but healed it as the book went on. This book starts 10 years ago and leads up to the present let's just say it was a soul-crushing journey. Then that bomb that was dropped was a big one but it made this book better. The prologue pulls you in but that epilogue was a great way to end it. This couple was simply amazing and they kept me intrigued. This book can be read as a standalone but with it being a motorcycle romance I recommend reading the others.

Nitro meets Frankie when he shot. From that moment he was hooked, watching her from distance. When they finally connect circumstances land him locked up. Things happen in that time period. Ten years later they are now in the same town. They have a second chance but there is secret that could tear them apart. Meanwhile there is an enemy out for revenge. I loved Notro and Frankie as well as the appearances of the other brothers Axton, Steel and look forward to Gears story. Mackenzy is one of my favorite MC authors and I love this series.

Completely from different worlds, they understand each other on a deep level that transcends everything. Their chemistry just rocks and makes those all important steamy scenes all the better.
Love the reverse age gap though he is the more mature based on experiences. She still is that idealist but you love her attitude and feistiness. Nitro is the epitome of still waters run deep.

Wow. What a fantastic story about an MC biker that has a connection with a doctor that saves his life. It is obvious Nitro and Frankie have this attraction that has a deep connection. Things happen and don’t work out but they end up meeting again 10 years later. She has become an obstetrician and he has grown in ways but always had her in his heart. She has a secret that threatens this second chance but his desire to keep her safe while he feels like he is not good enough causes conflicts as well.
This story has action, passion and secrets that all come out. I loved the development and pace of this story. I think it is one of my favorites by this author!

Absolutely freaking amazing and a very good read. Two people with entirely different backgrounds met in a very unconventional way and the story happened. I am floored and mesmerized by the relationship between Nitro and Frankie. It’s a smoothly written story with heartbreak, distance, and then coming back together and it all was soothing to my heart. I simply loved the story and the characters too. I saw the secret coming but when it did, it really made me happier. There are some characters who you want to be together no matter what and here these two are that for me. The “IT” couple. Entertaining story to its core and the banter was awesome.

I have nothing but love for this man! How he feel for his ol lady and it stuck for 10 years! They don’t see each other and still they both love each other all the time. Life takes them on different roads but in the end they meet!
Is it easy? Nope not at all. Nitro spends most of the 10 years behind bars but we already know that (if we have read rubble). As always the spice is spicy and the tears and anger will be there. Can’t wait for Gears!!!

Mackenzy Fox has given us another amazing book. This book is about second chances in a sense. I really ended reading Nitro’s and Frankie’s story. Their history to their present was one that pulled you in. I loved the little side stories and catching up with the MC. The chemistry between Nitro and Frankie was off the chart. I couldn’t put the book down. I can not wait to see what happens next. I highly recommend this book

10 years ago Nitro was saved by the clam and quick wit of Dr. Frankie Stevens. Right then and there statted his obession for the angel. 1 he needs to survive then 2nd learn everything about her next. He was only suppose to watch her from a far and make sure she is safe. But alias she knows he is watching her. Not so stealth there Nitro/ Adam are we? Lol anyways, he cant keep away from her he wants her to desire him like he desires her. But she shouldnt be brought into the mc world. He knows better, but actions keep them apart. Secrets kept, unwillingly at forst, but once the opportunity arise will the truth be told? Also, Ms Frankie is a bit of a courager (roar, cat pawing lol I am such a dork) anyways, Nitro is 6 years younger than she is. Will this stop them? Or will life keep throwinf hurdles at them?

This series is one of my favorites. Nitro story was one of my favorites. He meets Frankie as an intern when she saves him. This book goes back in time to set up their story which is need. This book has so much happening and the end. OMG! I was in love! I understand why Frankie did what she did and I'm so glad they were able to work through their differences.

This book was a fantastic read with an amazing story and characters that you will fall in love with. It moves along at a great pace which makes for a fun and relaxing read. The characters, you feel as though you know them and no matter what happens you want to be there for them. This book needs to be on your TBR list, you will not be sorry that you did.

This is the eighth book in this phenomenal series and this is Nitro and Frankie 's story. This is a well written story which has emotions, suspense, humour, intrigue, witty banter, danger, twists, intrigue, and love which all to to a riveting and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

I have been waiting for Nitro's book since we first saw him pop up a few books ago and boy did this deliver! Bad boy stalker and protective all what I like. Also loved that he is younger that the h and that their age gap didnt play a major role in the story. This MC series got me from the first book and I cant wait to read more.
