This is a young reader fast-paced and full of action with sassy dialogue. Madelyn of the Sky is an honorable, independent and brave sword-fighting young woman who will stop at nothing to help those in need. She is searching for her grandmother, and will not only solve a misunderstanding, she will fight standing with the good prince to save the refugees.

Madelyn has amazing power, she can speak to the stones and ground making it float, even an island. Peter has a creepy creative background story and origin but he is cool. There are dragons in this world.

Her adventures will continue.

Madelyn is a daring adventurer with a heart that wants to make sure everyone is safe and sound. She has collected refugees and cared for them in a community of her making.

But, when Grandma is kidnapped, Madelyn knows that she has to find her and bring her home. There are many obstacles along the way, including Madelyn’s knowledge of her past.

This book would be fun to do as a read-aloud in a middle elementary classroom. Definitely a good read for fantasy adventure fans. Looking forward to continuing to read through Madelyn’s adventures!
