This book was amazing! God brought this book into my life just when I needed it. The questions at the end of each chapter really encouraged me to dive deeper into the why of behaviors, thoughts, and actions. Some things came up that I didn't even know or realize were an issue. I also appreciated the author's willingness to share her story, and bring us along on her journey. I would highly recommend this read for those wanting to change their toxic thinking and rediscover who God created us to be and fully lean into that person.

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I really appreciated the way Robin Melvin speaks truth through use of the Scriptures and examples her teaching with personal life experiences and application of specific Scripture verses. Throughout each page, Robin, reminds her reader of the power that is in her identity in Christ. This affirmation is beautifully supported by the truths in the Bible and gives her reader a true sense of Who is for her because He knows her and chose her.
The convenience of having the study embodied within this book is ideal, as it reinforces learning and helps the reader to reflect without having to fumble with another resource.
Robin's style is warm and inviting and draws her reader in to be genuine and transparent so that transformation can happen.
Highly recommended.

Excellent book. The author pulls you in right away as she begins sharing her life story of living with an alcoholic Father and the trama she carried and how She found grace and mercy in Jesus. She covers so many things in this book. It’s easy to read and hard to put down once you start. Each chapter has questions to help you discover who you are. Highly recommend this book.

The truth seems so simple: our identity is rooted in Christ. We are His. Unfortunately our life experiences often get in the way of accepting that. The author shares her own search for identity and how she overcame trauma, lies, and negative mindsets. Some of the topics covered are victim mentality, childhood patterns that carry on to adulthood, negative self-talk, and thought patterns. Though at the beginning I didn't think this would be a book that would be particularly valuable for me, I soon found myself taking lots of notes as God spoke to me through the author's words and the use of His Word. Each chapter ends with study questions to help the reader do the deeper work of discovery. I received a complimentary copy of the book. All thoughts are my own.

While we are often waiting to feel healed, this book provides a refreshing reminder that we already are. And God sees each of us as whole, once we admit our brokenness. Robin wrote a beautiful book with vulnerability in sharing even the hard parts of her story. It has touched my heart and I know God has plans for it to help many more. I especially love the Study Questions section at the end of each chapter, where readers are encouraged to See Your Thoughts, Set Your Mind, Seek & Speak What’s True, and Celebrate.

The open and honest life stories that Robin shares draw your interest and compassion for her as she reveals her journey. I appreciated her generous use of scripture throughout the book to support the truths about God and ourselves, as well as the thought provoking questions at the end of each chapter for the purpose of self examination of our own stories. I will be revisiting this book for the purpose of journaling through the questions at a slower deeper pace.
