Who better than a playboy to coach me in the art of seduction?
Lauren
Starting over in your forties isn’t for wimps, but I had no choice. My daughter landed the role of a lifetime in a huge Hollywood Block Buster. A few months later, I quit my job as an ER nurse, moved to San Sera, and met some amazing people.
And that’s when things got complicated.
One of my new friends is a gorgeous screenwriter with the most lickable abs I’ve ever seen. He’s not interested in anything serious. I’m not into casual.
But there is something I want from him…
To help me get back my groove back.
Eric
I don’t do relationships. One nighters? Sure. Happily ever afters? No way.
Been there, got burned, have the T-shirt to prove it.
When Lauren asks me to teach her what men want. I’m all in. Who wouldn’t jump at the chance to help the gorgeous brunette between the sheets?
It turns out, accepting Lauren’s offer was the biggest mistake of my life. How can I go back to the friend zone, when the only person I want her to seduce is me.
Dad Intentions is a full-length friends-to-lovers-to-friends romance filled with single parenting disasters, steamy lessons, and two snarky teenagers with secrets of their own.
This is book 5 in the Single Dads Gone Wild Series. Each one can be read as a standalone. Happily Ever After guaranteed!
Kathryn M. Hearst is a southern girl with a love of the dark and strange. She has been a story teller her entire life, as a child she took people watching to new heights by creating back stories of complete strangers. Kate lives in North Carolina with her chocolate lab, Jolene; and two rescue pups, Jagger and Roxanne. She is a self-proclaimed nerd, raising a nerdling.
The final book in the Single Dads Gone Wild (SDGW) series is full of angsty emotions and drama.
Eric Chance is the screenwriter for the huge new movie that has been a part of the storyline for the entire series and Lauren Blake’s daughter is the young star of the movie. These two have mutual friends in common and have had a few brief interactions at events hosted by the friends.
A slight fender bender brings them together without any friends around and sparks of attraction happen for both of them.
Both single parents have incredibly painful backstories on how they came to be single parents. Each responded differently to their past pain, Eric became a man known for having one-night stands and being a player. Lauren has devoted herself to being the best mom to Isla to the point of neglecting herself and her own happiness.
Their relationship is complicated by Eric’s stance in keeping his sex life completely away from his teenage son; their teenagers are friends and possibly more; Eric doesn’t want more than a short casual thing and Lauren is scared of being hurt. More complications come into the picture when Lauren’s slimy ex-husband comes back into the picture and causes turmoil.
I enjoyed the banter between all the characters- Eric/Lauren, the kids, and his mom. The emotional angst wasn’t too much, even though it is pretty much non-stop from beginning until nearly the very end. However, Lauren’s daughter, Isla, frustrated me to no end. She kept so much secret and would barely give her mom or her friend Mason a chance to talk or tell her anything before she was shutting down conversations and getting mad at them.
I would have enjoyed a few more appearances of the main characters from the prior books in what I think is the last book in the series. A final party or event where the former Single Dads could get together with their significant others/wives would have been a fun conclusion.

This is book five of the Single Dads Gone Wild series and the main characters are both single parents. Lauren Baker is a single mother to Lily (17) and works as an ER nurse, but upended their lives and moved to San Sera after her daughter for the lead part as Raven, in a new Hollywood block buster. Eric Chance is a single father to his son Mason (17), and works from home as a screenwriter. Lauren now works for the studio, patching up employees, stunt people and even actors. She has no idea how her and Lily’s lives are about to change when news of the cast is revealed to one and all. She is renting a small apartment, refusing to touch the money Lily has earnt through her acting. Lily’s birth parents are not in her life and haven’t been since shortly after she was born, but that is all about to change and will cause more than a few headaches and heartache for Lauren as the truth finally gets revealed! Eric doesn’t do relationships, even though all of his fellow friends in the single dads club seem to have paired off or gotten married and are happy. He was burnt by the mother of his son and is happy to keep all his one night stands away from his son, never wanting to introduce someone to him, just for them to leave and break his heart, like his was. All he wants with any woman, is a bit of fun and to scratch an itch. When Lauren ends up rear ending Eric’s car, he can’t believe it is the woman he has seen in his circle of friends, but never managed to get alone to talk to. He seems almost happy that she crashed into him and drags out the insurance issues, hoping to see her again, one on one. He makes it clear that he is not into relationships, even as the two of them begin to get closer. Texts seem to be so much easier for Lauren to open up on, than with a call or face to face. She was damaged by the actions of her ex-husband Rick and has never really experienced a proper orgasm with a man. Just on her own! She isn’t into casual relationships or one night stands, but her attraction to this stud of a man, who is also a great father, is off the charts. She decides to ask him to be her instructor in all things, from flirting to seduction and orgasms, Eric can’t wait to get her into his bed and Lauren wants to get her groove back and maybe finally find a man for herself. As usual, nothing runs quite as smoothly as they might expect and the pair have to overcome their own issues, as well as those of their teenage children and a few outside sources. I loved how protective Eric became over Lauren and Lily, offering them a place to stay, even though his mother Stella was also staying with him and Mason, ever since her husband died. Eric as no idea how on earth he will be able to go back to the friend zone after they do the deed, but maybe this will help him develop his emotions and relationship skills. Maybe he will find that the perfect relationship just needs a little bit of faith and to realise that the sins of the past don’t have to be repeated upon him! The teenagers already have a close friendship and the texts between all sides keep the story rolling and add some amusement along the way. Another fun read that has all the trappings of single parenthood and more, to be contended with, all whilst falling in love and finding their HEA ending together. I look forward to seeing whose turn it is next to find their match. I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
I have loved every book in the series. They were super fun and romantic and full of teens who get involved in their parents life. Thats what I expected with this book but with Eric and Lauren as the leads. Its not how this book played out.
This book is very complicated and drama filled and it was much more serious and not much in the way of hijinks or laughter. In fact some scenes made me very uncomfortable.
This story features two couples. The parents are Eric and Lauren. Both are single parents to 17 year olds, Eric has Mason and Lauren has Isla.
Isla is in town because she is a big star in the movie coming out that Eric wrote and his friends produced. Lauren and her are in town for a few weeks before they go on the road promoting the movie.
Both Eric and Lauren have extremely bad experiences with their spouses. Eric decided to just have one night stands and Lauren has trust issues and only does serious. They both really like each other but they have very different views on what they want for their future mates. They realise this and decide to just be friends or flirty friends.
All this sounds good right? Light and fun. Well it comes out that unknown to the parents Mason and Isla are VERY good friends. And then Lauren finds out that Isla is missing. Where could she be?
And this is where things get VERY complicated and serious and this part almost made me quit reading because I wanted to read a cute and fun story and where Isla is and with whom she is, made me very uncomfortable. She is being victimized (I want to say she is NOT being abused physically or sexually) but someone is playing mind games with her shall we say and it made this book extremely serious for me. Its hard to say that and not share any spoilers but this is what hurt me to read about as I read this story.
The author did a fantastic job in writing this story and coming up with this very complicated plot. But it was a part of the story that really made me extremely uncomfortable as I felt Isla was manipulated by someone who she was supposed to be able to trust.
This was a good story within this series but its definitely is not my favorite but if you like a bit of angyst and a more suspenseful plot line then you will love this book. Its definitely very actual filled and a nail biter.

I loved that this book featured two middle aged, single parents with teenage children. It made the characters relatable.
Eric and Lauren are both focused on their children, so much so that Eric has “rules” involving strict one night stands and Lauren hasn’t dated in a while. Isla, Lauren’s daughter, is a young, new movie star. She’s friends with Eric’s son, Mason, and we’re privy to text messages between the two throughout the book.
I thought Isla was unlikeable. Granted, having a toxic person in your life can change you, but man. Isla was ungrateful and said hurtful things to Lauren. She thought her mom was a push over, which she truly was. I needed Lauren to have a backbone with Isla. I also get that Lauren had trauma from her marriage and childhood, but she frustrated me more often than not.
I absolutely loved Eric’s mom, Stella. She was amazing and brought humor and life to every scene she was in. Mason was also a great character. He seemed wise for his age and tried to be the voice of reason.
Eric Chance is a playboy that keeps his heart safe by never sticking around after the first date. One-and-done works for him. He has felt heartbreak and won’t go there again. Lauren is also a victim of heartache, but she doesn’t do casual and wants to start over fresh. So she asks the tempting screenwriter, Eric, to teach her what men want in a woman. He’s definitely ready for that, as long as there are no strings attached.
By the time Eric realizes that he has made a mistake, that he wants more than a no-strings limited short term non-relationship with Lauren, he is not sure how to move forward. Her nasty ex-husband also adds a bit of tension. Can Eric now be only her friend when his heart won’t let him walk away this time?
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Lauren and Eric, plus their kids Mason and Isla. Isla is just starting here acting career and Lauren is protecting her daughter to the best of her abilities. Eric is a single dad to Mason, he works as a screen writer and had been known as a playboy due to his lack of relationships. When Lauren hits the back of his car it begins a chain reaction of events that change their lives. Lots of push and pull by between them both personally and around them. But Eric becomes very protective over Lauren and Isla when danger strikes. Great HEA in the making.

This was a fast paced, well written, romance with some drama. Lauren is having to start her life over at the age of 40. Lauren's daughter ends up in a Hollywood Blockbuster so Laura moves to San Sera with her daughter. Lauren meets Eric who is absolutely gorgeous. Lauren takes the plunge and asks Eric if he could help her by teaching her about what men want. Both Lauren and Eric don't want real as they are both scared of being hurt. Will Lauren be able to change Eric's attitude about relationships? This was a good addition to the series, Single Dads Gone Wild. First book I've read by this author and I enjoyed it.

The 5th book in the series, Dad Intentions is Eric's story. It literally takes a push for him to get close to Lauren - and then life with teenagers takes over, his protective instincts are roused and then he's all in. There's a lot of texting, a seriously troubled teenager, a nasty ex and a surprise re-connect with family, kekeping the story moving at a great pace. There were times when I wanted to shake Lauren and tell her to stand up for herself more! In the end, everyone got just what the ending they deserved!.

This is the fifth book in the series, but the first book I have read. I am happy that I was able to hop right in and did not feel like I was behind since I had not read the previous books in the series.
As a mid-life female I enjoyed that the story featured two adults with teen kids. (I could totally relate!) Eric is a single dad that isn't into relationships and Lauren is the exact opposite as a single mom who isn't into one night stands.
I truly enjoyed the banter, text messaging and how the relationship built between the two characters. Add in a horrible ex-husband and an estranged sister for a bit of drama... makes for the perfect romantic comedy!
Eric is a one and done type of man because he doesn't want to get serious with anyone due to his past experience with his son's mother. Lauren is a single mother, a nurse and a divorcee. The back stories on these two were interesting and convoluted but totally necessary to the storyline. When you read it, you'll understand. I loved these two people together. They filled in missing pieces for each other that they weren't aware of even having. There was a little drama and some angst because there are teenagers (!) involved in the story. I love this series. Its fun, flirty, and a little steamy along with a lot of humor and heart.
Loved this story with Lauren who is a nurse who has moved to Hollywood with her up and coming actress adopted daughter Isla who is a result of her husband and sister's affair. Eric is a single father to Mason and a screen writer for the work that Isla is starring in and also the biggest playboy. Eric knows he has made a big mistake when he agrees to help Lauren learn how to seduce and man and all he wants is her to seduce him. Between their teenage children and her slimy ex they have their hands. Will Lauren and Eric work through their problems to find a HEA?.

Eric is a screen writer and a part of the SDGW club. Lauren's daughter is in one of Eric's upcoming movie releases. Their kids are friends and unbeknownst to them know that their parents have been texting each other. Sparks fly between Lauren and Eric. However, as her daughter keeps secrets and causes drama this puts Lauren in a panic. Will Lauren and Eric get a chance to be together? Will she learn what her daughter is up to?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. This is a well written and very entertaining story. Its a book that any book lover would enjoy.

Isla is meeting her father behind her adopted mom back. Unknown to her that he is not doing anything in her favor. Lauren run-end Eric car and they start dating but will that go any where as they are not sure of each other feeling. Lauren sister in now back in her life and is Isla mother and what to met her, but Rich has been selling story about Isla for money and taking money from Isla because she want her dad and listen to him. Mason tell her what he thinks and she tell him off. What will happen to them all?.

This is the 5th book in this series, and this is Lauren and Eric’s story. Lauren is starting over, and quits her job as an ER nurse, to go with her daughter when she lands a role in a Hollywood block buster. Eric is the screenwriter, and he and Lauren are both single parents to 17-year-olds. When Lauren asks Eric to teach her what men want, he agrees. This is a good story which is complex, with romance, secrets, suspense, twists, angst, drama, trust issues, and love, which leads to an enjoyable read. When Lauren rearended Eric's car she had no idea how it would change her life. Both of them have commitment issues thanks to bad relationships but as these two find themselves more in each other's lives their feelings for each other build. Eric only does one nights, but Lauren has to have commitment. Will Eric see what is before him before he loses the best thing that has happened to him? Eric and Lauren drew me into their story cheering for them to get their second chance to find happiness!

All the books in this series really drew me into life at San Sera, but Lauren and Eric’s story gripped me, holding me firmly in its grasp. The tension in Isla and Lauren’s relationship has me tense, the jokes between Mason and Eric made me smile, and the back-and-forth in Lauren and Eric’s relationship made my heart both hurt and sing. This story was, unsurprisingly, just wonderful. It’s with a heavy heart I say goodbye to the Dad’s Gone Wild - what a fantastic series.

REVIEW I have enjoyed every single story in this series of books but this was by far my favorite. I loved the chemistry between Lauren and Eric. He doesn't do long-term, she only wants long-term... However, life jumps in full throttle. They both have one heck of a past... Lauren's past rears its ugly head and threatens to pull her and her daughter Isla down with it. Can she protect what is hers to protect? Rich her ex is B.A.D. N.E.W.S... Eric has stood by her, but will he want forever? and how can they just be friends if he doesn't...Can he let go of his past and let the future in? I Loved Loved Loved this story!
This was a fantastic later in life slow burn romance. I enjoyed watching the story develop around Lauren & Eric. Coaching Lauren in the art of seduction, this playboy screenwriter realises that being in the friendzone will no longer work. He wants this sexy nurse but can he convince her that she is his HEA or will family drama push them apart? Worth 5 stars.

This is the story of what happens when Lauren and Eric get together. Add 2 relationship shy people together, mix in 2 teenagers and fun friends and get a wild ride. They made me laugh and groan and sigh. Loved how others from the series also pop in too. Love this series and this is a good addition.
This is a story about Lauren and Eric, both are single parents of teens, although Eric doesn't tell anyone about his son, Mason. They are both older and think they want different things that is until they realise that they are both looking for the same thing. It takes a push for Eric to try and connect but once he does he's all in. Lauren really needed to grow a backbone though.
Absolutely loved this whole series. I love a good single parents romance and these series all the MCs were single parents. Strong women characters and spoon worthy men. I love how all their kids were friends and the parents didn’t even know.
Hoping for a next generation series soon! I would love to see all the kids get their HEAs!

5 sparkling stars for a well-written book with all the feels!!

This couple and their kids will keep you flipping the pages! 5 sparkling stars for a well-written book with all the feels. Don't wait to grab this fabulous read. Or this fantastic series either. Happy reading everyone
The story of Eric and Lauren is part of the Single Dads Gone Wild series. The entire series interconnects and all of the novels have been unique and have had a mixture of romance, drama and comedy. This book focused more on the individuals but still was fun and romantic. As two single parents both Eric and Lauren are focused on their children who are focused on their parents love lives. As the drama unfolds with Lauren’s daughter and her birth parents Eric must decide if he is a one-night stand who remains Lauren’s friend or if the friendship can be more? Another great addition to the series!
