Hotel For Dogs Movie Novelization

Rate this book
Based on Lois Duncan's 1971 children's book, Hotel For Dogs, this live-action movie stars Emma Roberts, Jake T. Austin, Lisa Kudrow, Kevin Dillon, and Don Cheadle in a comedic adventure that shows how far love and imagination can take you. When 16-year-old Andi and her younger brother, Bruce, find themselves in a foster home with a strict "no pets" policy, the siblings have to find a new home for their dog, Friday. The kids stumble into an abandoned hotel and begin transforming it into something truly magical: a home for their dog, as well as all the stray dogs in the neighborhood! But the hotel soon arouses the suspicions of the police who want to know--who let the dogs in?

I love the movie to this book so I had to read to book to see the differences. I only found two or three differences. I rated this book a 5-star book because it is just so enjoyable. If you love dogs as much as I do you will love this book. The book is about two kids, Bruce and Andi, which are foster kids. They have been to five different foster homes in three years. The foster parents they live with right now don't allow animals. The problem with that is that they own a dog named Friday. One day these kids were getting chased and when they ran by Andi, Bruce and Friday the cops mixed them up. That means the cops ran after Andi, Bruce, and Friday instead. They ran until they found a small spot that they could hide in. They ended up exploring it. It was an old abandon hotel. Though they were trespassing they found two other stray dogs. They named those dogs Georgia and Lenni. They started feeding them and they made Friday live there since he couldn't live in the house where Andi and Bruce lived. When Andi went to buy food she ended coming back with three more dogs. They then became a rescue group for dogs. By the end of this process, there were three other people helping with the dogs. The dogs needed as much as they could get. The Hotel for Dogs ended up having over 100 dogs in it with a bunch of inventions that Bruce made. Andi and Bruce had passed on another foster home so they could stay with the dogs. When they were caught with the dogs they had to be separated. Somehow they reunite and you will have to find out the rest of there extraordinary journey!!!

Δεν έχω να πω τίποτα για αυτό το βιβλίο απλά δεν μου άρεσε. Αλλά δεν ήταν βαρετό ή απαίσιο ώστε να πάρει 1. Ήταν ένα τίμια 2αρι

I have read this book a lot, and watched the movie a lot. I just love it. Such a great story with a great concept. It had me happy, sad, confused, and mad! I loved this book so much. Hotel For Dogs will always be one of my favorite books. You could expect it from me because it is funny, and has dogs in it. This book automatically gets a five-star rating from me! My only complaint is that it isn't the hardest book ever, but it wasn't just meant for me!

I'm still laughing at the fact that this is a book that was based on a movie that was based on a book. But putting that aside, it was a nice little adaption for mid-level readers. The kids enjoyed it.
