I did not like this book because I do not like birds. I also did not like this book because this book was about birds.

-SUMMARY:
All types of birds are in this book; peacocks, parrots, and even penguins. In this book, we meet and learn about different birds; what they look like, their body parts and even interesting facts.
-REVIEW:
This informational book has lots of introductory information in a very approachable and friendly way. The photographs and pages of this book are extremely colorful. Also I liked how certain words were in a bold print, indicating that they were important vocabulary words. There were also questions and a recap section at the back of the book.
-IN-CLASS USES:

3) Summary: This text provides an array of different types of birds as well as quick facts about the species. It is a quick read with a lot of interesting and bright pictures. There is even a glossary in the back that will give children quick answers to vocabulary questions.
4) Review: I thought this book was a nice and easy read for children that wish to learn more about birds. It included information about ostrich', parrots, penguins, etc. I also enjoyed how it linked learning to everyday life, such as comparing a peregrine's speed to that of an athlete and cheetah.
5) In class use:
-students could use this to get information for their informational writing
-animal units
-could be kept in the class library for fun
